  1. It seems there is a younger group versus an older group for most activities, so she wouldn't be with a 17 year old anyway, but thanks for your concern.
  2. Correct, but the pcr is required now for proof of recovery, if I have to go that route. I'll do the antigen in two weeks, and chances are it will come back negative, but I need to plan for it to not.
  3. Welp, with two weeks until our first cruise, my worst fear came true, I have COVID. Seems like my other travelers do not, and I'm quarantined. I took a PCR test today (after getting an antigen test yesterday) to make sure I have it before the 11 day window. My question is does anyone have any experience with proof of recovery? I anticipate getting over this in plenty of time, but I'm worried my antigen test in 12 days is going to come back positive anyway.
  4. Thanks. I'm the exact opposite of a helicopter parent. I trust my kid.
  5. This is exactly what I'm looking for. Better put on my nice face.
  6. 2 weeks out for us, and I'm doing the same thing. Not just you.
  7. Hey all! We leave on Symphony two weeks from tomorrow (Woot!), and my daughter will turn 12 less than two weeks after the crusie. I'm aware that the cut off on Royal for several "teen" activities is 12, so I'm wondering if there is wiggle room. My daughter absolutely meshes better with kids 12-15ish more than 11 and under. Does anyone have any experience with trying to get a kid in a similar situation into some of the older activities? Is it even worth trying? Thanks!
  8. Been counting down since 100+ days out and now we are less than two weeks to go. I'm so ready. Don't care about any of the negativity. It's going to be the trip of a life time!
  9. We are staying at the Hampton Inn Mid Beach before our cruise on June 4. I'll provide a report. Looks like it is steps away from the beach so plus.
  10. Thanks for this! I hadn't received an email, but I did have options with this site. Just put a 10 dollar over minimum on large balcony. Let's see where the dice land....
  11. We are 22 days out and no roayl up option yet (Symphony June 4). Safe to assume there won't be the option since it's pretty close to the witching hour?
  12. I'm testing this next month. I'm buying voom for my wife and I, but not my daughter. Her phone will only be connected to the wifi via the RC app. She already has it installed, and we set up her account as if she were 13 (she's 12). So far, she has full access. Of course, we won't be able to test the messenger portion until we see on the ship. The 2 bucks a day is much better than a third voom account.
  13. Our first cruise is next month (Woot!), and we are getting cruise specific emails even though I used a TA. They absolutely try to sell me stuff more than inform me, but I'm getting both.
  14. We checked in April 20. Our vaccine cards validated yesterday
  15. In your check in section. It's right below where you select your arrival time.
  16. I'm sailing on a 7 night western Caribbean Symphony cruise this June. Anyone have a good idea what it would cost for laundry service for three quests in one room? Thanks.
  17. Got it, too. "Updated Mask Policy for Royal Caribbean Sailings As you know, our protocols are fluid and subject to change. We proactively review all of our requirements to meet the guidance of various government and health authorities to ensure the health and safety of our guests and crew. Due to recent changes in mask guidance, we’ve updated our mask policy, effective immediately, for all of our sailings where we've announced protocols, excluding Singapore departures. Updated Mask Policy Masks are optional for vaccinated guests and recommended for unvaccinated children while onboard. In our terminals, masks are optional unless required by local regulation. Some destinations we visit may require masks. Guests under 2 years old don’t need to wear a mask. These protocols are subject to change. Thank you for your continued understanding as we work diligently to provide you with the very best cruise experience. We look forward to seeing you onboard soon! 18. The arrival times magically opened up today for Symphony.
  19. Another ship that is cooler than Symphony at the moment...
  20. We were able to upload our vaccine cards via the app. It's the third option just after arrival time... Which I still can't select.
  21. I called my friends and Royal. The person on the phone said there may be a delay with the port, so it sounds like in this case it is Miami specific. I'm check every hour or so. No dice yet.
