We booked our Fall New England-Canada cruise on the Adventure yesterday for October 2020.  This will be our first out of Port Liberty NJ and on the Adventure.  We are going with 7 to 8 more couples.  Got the last day of the WOW sail too!  Now let the planning begin!

I want to do a cruise there! Hopefully next year! I'm going Saturday on anthem of the seas to Bermuda!

Your credit card needs to be linked to your onboard account, meaning that's what you set up when you checked in for the cruise.
Then you will sit at a slot machine and insert your SetSail pass.  

Select ACCOUNT.

Then select PERSONAL BANKER.

You will be asked for your PIN number.  If you haven't set one up then it will default to your birthday as MMDD.

You will then select TRANSFERS.

Select ROOM CHARGE.

Then you can select a preset amount or select OTHER and enter in your own dollar amount.

You are asked to confirm the charge.

Success!  Added to the slot machine.

From there you hit COLLECT on the machine and it will print out a ticket.

 

I got this package on our 7-day cruise and it was great.  At least one person from your cabin has to be in the pictures.  You can get your pictures taken any time they have a photographer around.  We got 135 pictures taken.  We got them on a CD with the release to print them ourselves.  We wanted new family pictures so it was well worth the price and quality.

I think if you use a debit card then they may put a hold on your card (I've never done this though).  I always use a credit card and have never had any holds.

I don’t have Verizon, but I’m on Symphony right now, ...... I’m in airplane mode ..... my WiFi calling is always turned on even at home ...... I’m on the Voom surf and stream WiFi  ............ and my phone does everything it does at home  ....... I can make and receive phone calls to/from  iPhones and android phones  ..... send and receive texts to both iPhones and android phones .......... and my son has even done a FaceTime call with my mom ........ everything works just like at home.
 
 

I’ve texted people who have android phones from my iPhone’s regular messages app while connected to the ship’s Voom WiFi while in airplane mode and they responded to me over and over ..... so they apparently received my messages.  Also, I’ve received phone calls and made phone calls to people with both android and iPhones from my iPhone while on the ships Voom WiFi in airplane mode with “WiFi calling” activated on my phone ........ I always keep WiFi calling turned on, even when I’m at home

I'll have both, you can never be too prepared.

They can scan it from your phone or your printout.  I carry a paper copy just for my own reference in case my phone croaks.  Even if you show up without a paper copy or an electronic pass on your phone, you'll just present your ID at check-in and they'll just look you up and you'll be on your way.

We tried specialty once.  It was nice and fancy but for the extra money we didn't feel like it was all that much better than MDR.  We really like the main dining room where the waiters get to know you and what you want and expect.  By day 2 or 3 they know what to have when you sit down ready (drinks, etc).  They also will pay attention to things you like extra of (breads,sides, etc),  We feel more pampered in the main dining with the extra attention you get from building the personal relationship with the waiter and asst waiter.  The food is usually really good too!  We value the personal-ness a bit more than the better food (but again the MDR is very good).  We would rather put the money in to shore excursions, escape rooms, other activities, etc and experience those since the MDR is usually VERY good and the experience for us isn't that much better in specialty dining.  Just our thoughts and opinions...

And confuse starboard with port so you always circumnavigate the ship when going back to your room.....

Bermuda's official currency in the Bermuda Dollar which is fixed to the US Dollar. Because of the latter, the US dollar is accepted everywhere at par. British Pounds sterling, Canadian dollars, Euros and other currencies should not be brought as they cannot be used.

Buy when you can afford it and it has value for you.  If it drops lower that that, refund your purchase and buy it again at the lower price.  
Many times it never goes lower.  Sometimes it does.  Enjoy the savings you score at a lower price, enjoy the package when you don't. 
Even a few dollars here or there is nothing in the overall cost of the vacation but saving a few extra bucks is icing on the cake.

We usually do $3-$5 per bag so that was right on as they had 12 bags. 

We did the Radiance southbound last year (2018) and liked it so much that we recently booked the northbound for May 2020 and taking 2 youngest, 18 & 21 this time. For us it is definitely the itinerary. And we enjoy the smaller ships ?
If I were to do Ovation it would only be the itinerary that includes Glacier Bay. If I'm not mistaken - Ovation only stops at Juneau and Skagway. Radiance also stops at Icy Strait. For some that's not a great port however we had a great time there and look forward to stopping again.
 
 

Has anyone else done something with their Crown and Anchor pins?  We have never worn ours, but I decided to change them from pins to cufflinks for my son for formal night and a necklace for my daughter.

What is the best towel animal/sculpture you have gotten or seen?

I was just diagnosed with PCE.. as of right now I’m unable to travel. The doctor said it may get better in the next 43 days, I have a follow up appointment on September 8th with Doctor HOTS . please help me through these trying times.. Pre Cruise Excitement is a disease lol

This is the one we will be using from now on.  Our Grandkids gave us this one for Christmas.

We always decorate our door.  It makes it so much easier to spot your cabin when all the doors look alike!
