I hate to say it, but I am pretty sure you will not have to worry about that.  I would be shocked if Canada allowed in cruise ships this year.

I read online that soon we will have COVID testing vending machines where you can purchase testing kits.  I do not know what type they will be...it's just a "plan" at this point.  I guess, if they would accept those results, you could purchase some of those and take with you to use.  I dunno.  I just read it somewhere.  Probably just nonsense.

Up to this point the CDC's only involvement with cruising was the Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP).  This just goes to show how they don't know the industry very well.  
More importantly (if you want to dwell on details) is the requirement to have a valid Certificate of Inspection (COI) issued by the USCG to apply for a certificate to sail.  Technically only US flagged ships can get a COI, foreign flagged ships cannot.
I'm sure the intent of the CDC wasn't to prevent foreign flagged ships from qualifying, it's just another example how the CDC doesn't understand cruise ship operational details.

The chat feature in the app was rumored or suggested to be free but very recently it was discovered that this feature carries a charge on Quantum in Singapore.  Asia is a different market and we don't know yet if ships in other regions will also charge for the chat feature.
Keep in mind this chat only works on the ship with other guests on the ship.  One of things I was suggesting above is that chatting off ship with friends at home could make life easier for a teen.  

One could argue that  a 7 night cruise is only 6 full days (departure day is only partial, return "day" ends before mid-morning so definitely doesn't count as a day). Or define the 7 days as 7 24 hour periods, in which case a cruise that boards at noon Saturday and discharges all passengers by 9:00 a.m. the following Saturday has not exceeded 7 days.

We are looking at staying here in October for our cruise.  We always go in a day early.  Do they have a shuttle from the airport and/or a shuttle to the port?

200 K people were tracked after the first dose against same number of people  which did not got the the vaccine yet. Until day 12 the number of people that were infected are more and less the same in the two groups , after day 13 there is a drastic drop of people that were infected from the first group (more than 40% and some number even shows 60%), this is a good indication that the vaccine will not just reduce the illness but also may reduce the risk for being infected.
Its just first number , we will need to wait to get more information . 

I just now scheduled my Mother's first shot for January 18th.  She will be 91 in March.  I am surprised that they are scheduling this soon here so I find that encouraging.  They are only doing 70+ now but hopefully soon, I will be able to get mine in the next round for 60+.  The sooner this get going, then the sooner we will be cruising again.  I really need my October 2021 cruise (L&S from 2020).  As hubby put it the other day, "I am so ready to go somewhere!!"

We have stayed at the a Embassy Suites near the Newark airport and have been satisfied with it. There is a Ruby Tuesday restaurant next door too.

Tell me - why in the hell do I do this to myself?  IF we get to sail on Allure in Aug, it will be nearly 3 years
since my last cruise, and watching these shows just drive that stake through my soul.  I'm dying to walk that

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a "base price".  The price changes constantly.  The best you can do is try and predict what is a "good" price for your specific cruise and target that price.

anyway, as everyone said, it's best to simply look at the price. All the other numbers are just to entice you to buy. If you  think the cost is acceptable, get it. 

I'm afraid you are probably correct.  I'm surprised that they went that far ahead; however, it is better for people to know now possibly before final payment is due than to wait until so closed to sail date.  So many people (me included) have to fly to get to the port adding another thing to have to deal with.

Suites and Guarantees wouldn't be eligible because they must be booked NRD.
