  1. The price for Deluxe on my Radiance cruise in July 2018 is $55/day and if one gets it the other one has too! Why are there so may different prices out there?
  2. I just checked the Deluxe package rates for our Alaska cruise on the Radiance July 2018. It is $55/day and both of us would have to get it! It is a very port intensive trip so we are leaning to the Replenish and just add the alcohol as needed. Now, if it goes on sale I may change my mind.
  3. I just took a multiple USB charger so that I could charge my iPhone, iPad, and iWatch. I got mine on Amazon and there are many to choose from. I packed it in my checked luggage and did not have any issues. I didn't have anything else to charge so I am not sure about the other type of extension coil/power strip.
  4. I heard on TV this morning that American Airlines has resumed flights to San Juan and that the others should be following soon after.
  5. We own our own business, so going without the phone is not possible; however, hubby was able to still be somewhat phone free as there wasn't any issues that the office couldn't take care of. I like being able to keep tabs on my Mother also as she is 87 years old and you just never know when an emergency could arise. I also use my phone as my camera, so I always had it with me most of the time.
  6. On the Oasis they still use CD's instead of flash drives. So I had to put it on a flash drive myself when I got home. You think they would be more up to date!
  7. It will be in your cabin waiting for you when you arrive.
  8. They scan your SeaPass every time. I got all digital pictures on a CD at the end of our cruise (Oasis). They had a special on the photo package on board (unknown to me) and I got a letter in our cabin informing me that it was now cheaper so they gave me the difference in OBC. I was pleasantly surprised.
  9. I have to stay mid-ship also. I do take a Bonine every night at bedtime (just as a precaution). The only time I really noticed any movement on the Oasis this summer was when I was in the bathroom for some reason (cabin or public area bathrooms). I am not sure why but it wasn't enough to make me sick, it was more that I noticed it.
  10. We are doing a 3-day inland after our cruise & will be staying at the Marriott in Anchorage the last night & airport transportation is included. We do ride the train into Anchorage.
  11. We have 3 days post cruise. I know there are some tours listed; however, there is nothing listed at Talkeetna. Will we be there long enough to do anything? Here is the schedule (shows dates but not times): 20 Jul - Coach Transfer, Seward to Anchorage 20 Jul - Alaska Wild Life Center 20 Jul - Coach Transfer, Anchorage to Talkeetna 20 Jul - Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge 21 Jul - Coach Transfer, Talkeetna to Denali 21 Jul - Denali Natural History Tour 21 Jul - Denali Park Village 22 Jul - Coach Transfer, Talkeetna to Anchorage 22 Jul - Anchorage Marriott 23 Jul - Transfer to Anchorage Airport I'm not sure how long the travel times are, so I am looking for some info from ones who have done this already. I realize we eat on our own, so I am hoping there are plenty of foodie places to pick from. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
  12. I just checked my Alaska cruise (July 13th) and only voom 1-device is on sale.
  13. I hope your home was missed by Harvey! I have a good friend that lives in Houston (San Leon Area) and they have water all around them but not up to their house but roads to get out were under water. I can't even imagine what everyone is going thru right now and for the weeks and months to come.
  14. I like the idea of the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus and I will check Granville Island also. I don't want to waste a single minute while we are there. Any good places to eat?
  15. Mid-ship is better for motion. I always book a mid-ship for that reason.
  16. I have booked our Flight into Vancouver for the day before using Delta Skymiles so I only have to paid a total of $11.60 for the both of us to fly. So I am really happy about that. I decided to book Go Shuttle from the airport to our hotel with a private vehicle. We decided on the Marriott Pinnacle Downtown. We got a good rate with our points and it is a 7 minute walk to the cruise port. Not sure if we will walk it or take a taxi but I like having that option to choose from. Now I need to look and see what we can do/see in Vancouver as we land at 10:30 am. I haven't booked our return flight yet as it is out of Anchorage and I am trying to decide what will work best for us time wise.
  17. That is why I do the day before because you never know what the weather and etc will be when you book something so far in advance. Better safe and sorry!
  18. I saw it; however, I think it was just painted to look like sand (if my memory serves me right). I didn't get into that pool, I just walked past it.
  19. I would LOVE to see whales up close and personal; however, hubby refuses to even consider a helicopter tour... I will check our the Pan Pacific hotel also as walking distance would be awesome.
  20. Thanks! I wasn't sure how close the port was to "downtown" as that can be a broad area for someone who has never been there. I want to get hotel reservations early too.
  21. We are trying to decide on our excursions. My TA told me that they sell out fast and not to wait too long. We don't cruise until July 13 2018. My question is, do we need to hurry up and make our minds up or what? Also, we will be flying into Vancouver the day before so any suggestions on hotels fairly close to port would be most appreciated. I looked at some but was a bit overwhelmed with trains and luggage and everything else...
  22. We had oceanview balcony (July 2017) and our daughter had central park balcony. I vote (Hands down) for Ocean. I loved the peacefulness of the ocean and they getting to watch as we pull into ports. There was no comparison in my view between the two....Ocean all the way!
  23. We are on the Radiance (Alaska) for July 2018. We have been trying to decide on excursions and have it narrowed down. My T/A told me that they fill up quick, so I guess we better be deciding soon. The issues is we are going with another couple that don't live in the same state as we do, so making final plans is more difficult. I guess I best be calling them tonight!
