I’m on that cruise, 10/08/20 New England/Canada can’t wait. Booked all my excursions during the Black Friday sale. The a Facebook group already set up for the sailing.
I didn't book any excursions yet as we are going with several friends from several different states and we haven't discussed any of the excursions yet. Are you doing an excursion at each port?

Can you give me the link for the Facebook link?

For those who have done this one - We are in port 6 days out 9 so I am pondering on getting the WiFi or not. Did you have signal on the sea days? We did when we did our Northbound Alaskan Cruise. We are business owners and will need access; however, if we even get some limited access on the sea days I may not get the internet package. I guess I need to know if we see land most of the way up the New England coastline.

I just looked at our Adventure OTS (October 8th) and the drink package is down from $55 to $51. I'm going to recheck it over the next couple of days to see if it goes lower.

My VPN for AT&T works fine also.
-
I've only used the Mobile Passport once (Atlanta) when we returned from Punta Cana. It worked and we bypassed a very long line.

I hoping for discounts on the drink/zoom package for our 9 night October 2020 cruise. At the pricing now we will save almost $80 doing the drink/zoom package than getting them separately. It's on sale now for $65/night for combo. It will be my luck that they raise the price instead of lowering it!

Super Shuttle or Go Shuttle are both good.

I leave (fly) 11/16/19 for our cruise on 11/17/19 out of New Orleans. I have a list started and will start putting stuff on the bed in our guest room about 2 weeks out. Some things I will have to get washed and ready the week of. One good thing is that it is starting to get cool here and my summer stuff can be laid out anytime. We keep extra phone/iPad/watch chargers for travel that way we don't have to worry about forgetting one. I have a tote in the guest room closet that has some stuff that I want to take already started.

Where she is standing there is a ledge and there is none above her or below her. That is a doctored picture!

When is the group cruise for October 2020? We are going with several friends on the Adventure October 8 2020 for 9 days.

I chose to sail from Seattle because it was a US port. My thinking was that there would be less hassles with immigration. Was my reasoning valid?
We had no issues and it didn't take long at all. We did fly in a day early so that may have helped.

Or our “local” airline Alaska Air. Far from a legacy carrier. But, they fly in and out of nearly every city in Alaska with an airport.
We flew Delta and used points for most of our flights. We flew into Vancouver and flew out of Anchorage.

Is the inland tour an excursion you book with RCI? Or is this a sailing with a land tour included? I’m intrigued.
It was thru RCI. There are several to pick from on how many days/nights that you want. We picked the 3 due to having to return to work. It included transportation and lodging but not any food. It was an awesome experience and we want to go back and stay longer.

Looks like we are on the same one!

We stayed at the Doubletree Suites in Jersey City before we left out of Cape Liberty. We just took Lyft/Uber to the hotel from Newark airport and also to the port. There was a lot within walking distance of the Doubletree including a PATH station to get into NYC. There was a grocery store a few blocks up and there was a CVS in the nearby mall to pick up anything you needed last minute before the cruise.
I've stayed at the hotels near the Newark airport just didn't appreciate the location as much as there wasn't much in a safe walking distance so you were limited to what the hotel had onsite for restaurants. But if you had a flight that gets in really late they are reasonable options.
That sounds like a good idea. We are thinking about staying two more nights and going the NYC so the PATH will come in handy too.

There really isn't a hotel close to the port - it is in an industrial area. Check out the cluster of hotels just outside Newark airport. Some do have shuttles, but Uber/Lyft could be cheaper/quicker to port depending on how big your party is. There is shopping/places to eat close to those hotels as well.
We will have at least 16 people in our group; however, I am not if everyone is coming in the day before or not as we are all from different states and etc. I guess we will need to do a lot of research. I am not a "fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants" person so on to the research I go

We will be arriving the day before so where do you stay that is close to port and do any of the hotels have a shuttle to the port? It looks like we will fly into EWR.

I will check out Springhill Suites for our October cruise. We are flying in though. Do they have an airport shuttle too?
