  1. Loved following along with you during your journey! Did you cancel the Disney Springs excursion? I was looking forward to your review because were considering it for March.
  2. I purchased with a great deal during Black Friday but I agree- its a bit too loud and chaotic. I realize this was a crew party so I am going to wait to see regular guest videos but will probably cancel.
  3. I am only able to cruise once or twice a year and still prefer using a travel agent. I started using MEI because of these boards and highly recommend them! I am still able to obsess over planning and researching but with the confidence that I have support if needed.
  4. I can agree with this. Last summer on the Harmony we sent the email requesting the table for two and got the same reply. When we got our room keys we noticed it said My time dining with no table number (we had early since original booking). They told us our email requesting the table dropped us from early dining so we were told we would have to wait in line every night at 6:30 for a table in the no reservation line. They were annoyed we had made the email request and said people need to stop doing it because it was causing conflicts- they said we shouldve requested when booking. I was shocked. After complaining to a different head waiter the next day they were able to assign us the same table at 6:15 for the remaining days. I think as the ships fill up- requesting will become very difficult.
  5. Same thing happened to us on the Harmony in June. Our 5:30 was suddenly changed to MTD when we boarded and saw our keys. We went directly to main dining and they insisted we were good for 5:30. But when we showed up that night for dinner we were turned away and told to come back for MTD that night. I was livid! The dining manager blamed it on my email requesting a table for two a few weeks prior (I will never do that again). Thankfully they were able to fix it the next day and put us back to 5:30.
  6. This worries me a bit. I will need to check emails for work a few times so Im hoping this improves.
  7. Pricing will be better if you choose 1 person with four devices. (You will still get separate codes for the other people.)

  11. The hold wouldnt bother me but an actual charge to the onboard account would. I would be dreading the eventual standing in the long guest services line at the end of the cruise to get it removed if it didnt. Props to your son for noticing- Im not sure my daughter would.
  12. I researched this exact thing for a trip this June. Since we wont have a rental car and wanted to do the water taxi, I looked at what was available at each stop. We plan to take the water taxi to stop #10. It lets off at Bokampers Sports Bar and Grill- It looks like a good menu and a low key place.
  13. On my last two cruises the cups were not in the cabin- we had to pick them up at any bar where they were activated before they were handed over to us. So there was no way to get an "unactivated" cup.
  14. I have always used this Budget location but this past June it was a nightmare at drop off- just as you described. Lines of people to drop off and pick up, only two workers, and no air conditioning. They also tried to charge me insurance even though I had declined. The only positive was the great shuttle driver. I am comparing prices from Enterprise with Budget for next time. Enterprise is actually closer to the Royal terminal but I have never used them. I think they have odd times though--Maybe someone here has experience.

  16. FYI- Be careful with the Next Cruise "Book Later" program. I did that in August thinking it was the same deal but it is not. THe only benefit is the reduced deposit. There was no onboard credit- and looking back at the fine print- it never said there would be.

  18. I second TSA pre check. Last month my mother and I breezed through MCO TSA (even after double checking my mother's knee scan). My daughters family didnt want to pay the money for the service so she waited in line. My mother and I went ahead to the gate area- we ate lunch before my daughters family made it to the gate. So at MCO- its def worth it!
  19. Best way to get over a cruise "hangover" is to plan a new one! Stop by next cruise and book it!
  20. I was there last week and saw them on South Beach so they are still there. Im not sure about preference- I loved all the beaches and the beds looked nice and comfortable.

  22. I booked transfer back to MCO through Cortrans for 25$ because I could pick a later time (my flight isnt until 4:30). It looked like Royal transfers could be super early and I didnt want to spend more time at the airport than I needed to.
