  1. On Explorer (1/9-1/16) and those islands where not on our schedule. But we did have St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Antigua, Barbados, and St. Maarten (St. Lucia was on the schedule but taken off a couple of weeks before cruising). We had everything afforded to us on the ship and all the islands were open for our cruise. My best advise is go in with a flexible attitude and don’t worry about what you can’t do anything about. Before our cruise, I was on ‘pins and needles’ and everything I was anxious about actually never materialized. I was convinced COVID was going to cancel my cruise, my test would be positive, my flight canceled, and no island would be opened up. It was just all a bunch of stuff that did not happen. I would hope for the best but be ready to adjust if needed. Odds are on your side that you will be cruising regardless. Enjoy your trip!
  2. 1/9-1/16: Explorer of the Sea (can’t remember the actual number) was at 30%.
  3. I have (I think) heard this come from Matt's mouth but I wanted to make sure this is ultimately confirmed. If I am leaving to board the cruise ship at 1 pm on Sunday (Explorer of the Sea in San Juan), it doesn't matter what time I take the rapid test on Friday, correct? My plan was to get up super early on Friday, but it would technically be over 48 hours to get on the ship. I DON'T WANT TO SCREW THIS UP. lol. Thanks you all and, again, this site has guided me throughout our entire cruise planning. Thanks!
  4. My mom just called to tell me of the CDC’s recommendation and all of you expressed the same thoughts as I did about it. I was more concerned while eating at Cracker Barrel today than being on a ship. Heck, it’s more concerning for me to be at a sporting event or church than it will be on the cruise. They are more wrong than right and I am totally looking forward to cruising on January 9th.
  5. So how does this work if this is the main port where we will be embarking and disembarking from (Explorer of the Seas, Jan 9-16) San Juan. Yes, we will have the 48 hour test when we fly in. But, how will it work after being on several islands in the Southern Caribbean and returning to port to fly home? Will this be something that will be offered by Royal Caribbean?
  6. First time posting but I just wanted some clarification on the return back to the US. There isn't any requirement to have a COVID test to RETURN back to the United States, correct? Everything that I have read and studied up on, I see all the requirements to get to Puerto Rico and to enter onto the ship. But the only thing I have seen for the return trip back to the the US is signing up for the SARA Alert Program. Is this correct? Me and my wife are sailing on January 9th for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and quite excited. Thank you for this website, these forums, and the YouTube Q and A vids. They have been very helpful.
