Good lord, that's absolutely awesome! Do I understand this correctly - you'll be on Adventure from the 1st of March through the 23rd? That's impressive! Have you done 3 weeks on the same ship before?

We enjoy cruising and yes, we have spent as long as 42 days on board at times. It attempts to keep us out of trouble.

Bettelovestocruise, we were fogged out in November and didn’t get to the dock till around 1pm. Hope that doesn’t happen this trip!

We were also fogged out but did not even get under the Sunshine Skyway until after 2:00 p.m. Then about 4 hours to the port. We were on the Serenade and the Brilliance was right behind us. I felt sorry for those who were to board. It was a mess all the way around. We will be heading to Tampa this Friday, so that if the ship is fogged out again, I have a place to stay.

Also, a word for those who will be boarding on the 11th - do not even plan on getting to the port until 11:00 - the "0" count. Then they open it to Suites and Pinnacles - it did not matter your check in time. It went fast once we got into the port area itself. But it was not fun having to schlep my own luggage into the port. When we board this Saturday, I am not even heading to the port until 11:00. Not worth the hassles.

Husband and I will be on this cruise. Was on it with my daughter several months ago. Love the Serenade. We had a great time but there were some glitches that I hope have been fixed. The lines for MyTime dining were ridiculous and the disembarkation was a mess due to a fog delay.

Welcome aboard. Were you on in Feb with your daughter? We sailed in Feb. and were delayed getting in due to the Sunshine Skyway being closed due to fog. It was a mess getting off the ship, but in my opinion that was due to the passengers all trying to get off at the same time. Even those without luggage. Hoping for no fog this weekend when we head to Tampa to board. Looking forward to chatting with you.

  4. The new port area will be getting close to being completed in Feb. I think it is scheduled to open sometime in May. We have been watching the progress since we flew to Nassau in July of 21 when cruising was in the early stages of re-starting. At that time, they were redoing the outer pier with new concrete. It has been fun seeing how the port has progressed during this time. Looking forward to checking it out again when we are there.

We're booked on the Sunday 4/17 Oasis sailing and will be taking our proctored eMed COVID tests at home on Friday before flying to Miami on Saturday. We have our test kits (plus an extra set) for all five of us (husband, me, 3 tweens/teens), but I have a couple of logistical questions. The "Ready, test, sail" insert with the package says to just scan the QR code on the box to begin the virtual visit. My question is: can we use the same device for all five of us to test--for example, setting up my phone in our best wifi location in the house and then just taking turns scanning the QR code on each box/test--or do we need to use separate individual devices? I'm assuming we have to set up individual sessions with the proctor for each test.  Could anyone who has done the proctored eMed test before sailing with multiple family members share how it all worked and anything you wish you'd known to make the process easier before doing it? Thanks so much!

If using the same device, you will need to reset the browser between each test. Otherwise, the first person to take the test is still logged in.

A majority of the events are open to anyone. I never wanted to be the guy who said "you didn't book with my TA? We can't hang out"

There will be a few exclusive events to those that booked with MEI so there's an incentive to book with them, and a reward to those that support the group cruises by booking with MEI.

But you're absolutely welcome to join us for the non-exclusive events, of which 75-80% are not exclusive.

Matt - will there be some representatives of MEI Travel on board as well? I do currently have a TA but he may want to retire at some point and I am checking out other TA's to see if we are a fit. I have met one or two gentlemen who work with MEI but they told me at that time they did not really deal with Royal Caribbean. so would be interested in meeting some of the people who do work with Royal.
