I totally agree - catching a flight, arriving at a desination & awaiting your cruise embarkation was exciting. I have now had to bring flighs forward to mitigate UK flight cancellations, booked additional days in Rome and having to take a pre-cruise(48hr) antigen test before knowing if we will sail away! I somehow feel that my anxiety levels are somewhat being stretched & not sure how I will feel if I recieve a negative before sailing !! Life has become slightly more challenging

Hi fellow RCC members Cruising on the Odessy of the Seas in July (Med) & have now received travel docs, but it appears that I still cannot book / reserve evening show enetertainment. When logging onto RCC account it states that shows can be booked once on-board. Have concerns in that : Do the shows commence the same time overnight ? Are there two show times - early & late ? Do they fill up if you dont book ? If you are dining at a particular show time - can you catch-up with stateroom TV-streaming later within your stateroom ? Apologies if this is within a previous forum write-up - search string didnt pick up much detail. Thx Chris

I have never been a gambler but would love to visit & see what the fuss is all about - but if smoking is allowed then I'll not be venturing into the casino. I'm sure that the staff must find working conditions challenging & I'm surprised that RC do not take this into consideration! I think a previous statement as to changing the casino policy to a vapourless e-Cig, could appease both the smokers, non-smokers & the health of their employees!

England relaxing the wearing of masks doesn't deflect that the majority of people are still wearing masks during the confines of shops & Supermarkets. The public transport systems are requesting that travellers wear facemarks! In general most people are decent enough to comply to this request.

We are in Rome in July for 1 night & sailing with RC the following day. Rome is extremely hot & busy during the summer - so we have decided to stay slightly out of the hustle in close proximity to the Villa Borghese Gardens. This allows walks within the gardens with its fine historic monuments & lake, but within a 15 minute walk to the Spanish Steps & a further 10 mins walk to the Trevi fountains. We are staying in one of the ' NH Collection' chain of hotels ! Hope you enjoy & embrace Rome..

Thx DunwoodyDad.....appreciate your prompt reply (tip) & comments and confirming that they(teen club), do fulfil a meet & greet session ! Its important that my daughter embraces other cruise members, cultures and the comradrerie of other teens on-board. We have certainly enjoyed the Disney cruises in the past but have always traveled with friends - this will be our first solo family cruise with RCL, so hoping that we enjoy the difference in cruise styles and ships activities. Hoping the intinerary will be full-on & she shares the fun moments with fellow like-minded teenagers....I haven't taken the wifi option - so hoping she leaves the mobile & tech back in the stateroom...:)

Hi fellow parents, My daughter is wondering if the older teen club implement any ' Meet & greet' occasions during the cruise. My daughter is pretty social but can be shy at times.... I'm totally happy being the busy dad & accompanying her during the sports activity on-board but wondered how the Teen club manage/introduce individuals to ensure that they get that gang vibe going. Would love her to meet fellow teens who are on their own, as parents can be awfully selfish once the derriere hits the sun-lounger..:) Any thoughts on the management style of the events teams within the teen club..? Hi fellow cruiser's... Odessy of the Sea' is docking @ Santorini during our medirerranean cruise vacation & am presently undecided if to take up the RC shore excursion package or to plan our own itinerary. The ship doesn't dock till 13:00hrs and disembarks - 21:00hrs. The island's blue domed buildings are mostly situated in Oia - the tenders apparently dropping off in the main capital port of Thira (FIRA)! I can either book the RC shore package which takes in all transporation to Oia town and a winery etc - or I can review options in getting to Oia & return to Thira. Once in Thira, deciding on either taking the cable car back down to Thira port or walking down the stepped donkey trail. I will not be taking the option of using the mis-treated donkeys ..as a way of transportation. Apparently you could take a fast ferry from Thira port > Oia port and take a local bus from Oia port to the town, spend some time taking taking snaps over the Caldera, soak up the ambience of the vista before making tracks back (hiking) to Thira town. The island during July will be close to the 30' celsius so the hike may not be the most viable choice, although as a family we are all reletaively fit. Does anyone have knowledge of this beautiful island & modes of transportation whilst allowing adeqaute time not to miss disembarkation.... Thx Chris

New to RC cruising - if you do not opt for any speciality diing package - can you still book a desired restaurant if dining spaces/timeslots are available? Keen to try Teppanyaki on the Oddessy of the Sea's, although family enjoy the inluded buffet meal choice, hence the reason for not selecting a specilaity dinner package. Any comments welcome from frequent cruisers....Thx
