  1. When going to Galveston I always book my parking with Port of Galveston. I get coupons off and it's a quick shuttle ride to the ship. Never had a problem.
  2. You can go to the Customer Relations desk and get a copy of the Cruise Compass. Also, most activities are listed in the App. Shore Excursions should have the map of CocoCay.
  3. Looks like we will just have to wait and see. If it is a new "language", I do like it.
  4. I just checked mine and it says submitted, also. I've never seen that before. I posted an individual message. We'll see if we get any answers.
  5. For about a month now, my two Royal Up bids have both said Pending. This afternoon both of them say Submitted. I thought they just went from Pending to either Cancelled or Accepted. Has anyone seen this before?
  6. Take your Sea Pass and insert it into the machine. Your passcode is your month, day of birth. eg June 9 would be 0609. I don't remember all the steps but on most ships you can draw money on your room account.
  7. Great information. And you answered all my questions!!! Thank you.
  8. Some of the best people I have associated with have not been my age. Try reaching out to others. Life is learning experience and you can learn much from older people as well as the innocence of children.
  9. With some brief reading, it looks very interesting. I am a skeptic at heart, so I will do more extensive reading when I have time. Would love to hear some real stories from people who have used them.
  10. I want to commend you on the great explanation and for taking the time to write it. The quote above is one thing I did not understand. Could you explain this a little bit more? No hurry. Thanks.
  11. We actually changed ships on our double point cruise, after Sept 30 and I inquired about the double points and they said we would still get them.
  12. We drive to Galveston for our cruises. I would get to the island the day before (depending on time of day and day of week) because traffic is pretty heavy on I 45 (the main route to the island) and there has been a lot of construction lately. We usually stay in the Baymont, about $60/night. Clean and nice, but nothing fancy. Like previously stated, the port is easy to get into, whether driving & parking or taking an Uber.
  13. I agree, 100%. If you studied the poetry by T. S. Eliot, Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, it gives you a better understanding. But aside from that, the costumes, make up, and dancing are incredible. And what a better way to expose our children to theatre.
  14. Also, on the day they are refueling, they will close the regular smoking area, but usually open up another. eg: Deck 15 Port Side on Oasis was closed for smoking on embarkation day, but they opened up Deck 16 Starboard side.
  15. I've researched Aruba and found the streetcar trolley which is free and will go to downtown. Also, they have public buses that run regularly and you can buy a one day pass for $10 that allows you to get on and off as much as you want.
  16. I especially like the option of a day pass where you can get on and off as many times as you want.
  17. I tried posting this in excursions but received no answers, so I'll try here. Has anyone ever used the public buses in Aruba? If so, what has been your experience?
  18. Has anyone ever used the public buses in Aruba? If so, what has been your experience?
  19. Thank you. I figured they wouldn't want to be closed for all those days.
  20. Along a different genre, "You'll Never Walk Along".
  21. During our trip to the ABC Islands in August on Mariner, the first two port days we don't have to be back to the ship until 10 or 11 PM. What hours might the casino have on those days?
  22. Thank you for this info. I have just been starting to read about this. My grandchild has autism and went on a regular cruise with us, but did have trouble with the sounds and crowds. I would love to make it more enjoyable for him.
  23. That's where I ordered mine, too. Hopefully they will come soon. Thanks to all.
  24. How long ago did you order the tests? I ordered mine 3 weeks ago and still haven't received them. I won't be using them for the actual cruises, but nice to have if you are experiencing symptoms and want to make sure you will test negative.
