  1. Discrepancy to my disadvantage is the game RCL is playing. I booked a sailing for March 2021 which got cancelled and RCL replaced it with a cruise for April 2022. About 8 months before the 2022 cruise RCL cancelled that sailing. I wasn’t notified and instead of my usual lift & shift I got the 125% FCC. Taxes were refunded and each of us received a FCC for $840. I searched for a cruise to replace the cancelled sailing and find one for May 2022. I book it and apply my FCC. One day after booking RCL decided to cancel that sailing also. Having my mind set on cruising in spring of 2022 I find another sailing that fits my schedule. I went ahead and reserved a sailing for April 2022. Before I finalized it I needed the FCC from the cancelled sailing. I was told it would take 2 weeks to get that reissued, it took 2 months and multiple calls. But when they applied the credit to my booking it wasn’t $840 anymore. Only $664 were applied. The price of the cruise didn’t change but the future cruise credit applied went from $840 to $664. Frustrating! The travel agency I work for stopped altogether booking new cruises with RCL because of the horrible customer service. Once I am on a ship things are great as expected. The long wait to talk to an RCL supervisor is very time consuming and not worth the commission a travel consultant makes. Please RCL, stop making everything so complicated if you want cruising to return to nearly normal.
  2. Well thanks RebN, I appreciate the info. I sure wasn’t informed by RCL and the TA claims they were not informed. And RCLs website didn’t mention it. RCL does have my email address. I sure didn’t know a blog mentioned it. I was relying on RCL to inform me. I guess some have no life other than blogging. Thanks for the helpful info. I am getting the refund process started.
  3. Ovation of the Seas. I was booked back to back Sydney - Honolulu - Vancouver They cancelled April 10, 2022 SYD HLL, but not April 26, HLL to Vancouver I can’t find anything on RCLs website about the cancellation and I only found out when they refunded the taxes of the Cruise.
  4. I know the link is on the website, I kept checking for updates. But the link won’t list cruises that are cancelled in 2022.
  5. You won’t find this cruise cancellation on RCLs website… especially not under the updates. They only post when ships are back in service. They cancelled my Nov 2021 Transatlantic without any mention on the website last month and now another cruise for April 2022.
  6. It just happened again! Got no notification that my cruise for April 2022 was cancelled. I understand that there will be be cancellations but not getting notified really stinks. There is also no mention on RCLs website or on their update about cancelled cruises. They just cancel and I notice only when I get a refund for the taxes. As soon as I noticed that they cancelled I got on the phone and asked to „lift and shift“ to 2023. I was told that I cannot do that because the cruise was already cancelled. Shame on you RCL. I asked to speak to a supervisor but after 2 hours on hold was hang up on. I am convinced RCL is purposely canceling without notification so they don’t have to either refund or honor their „lift and shift“ policy. This has happened to me on several cruises now and I am to a point to switch cruise company. Even as a Diamond+ it’s not worth dealing with RCL. Filing now a complaint with Department of Transportation‘s consumer protection division.
