Fortunately for us when we sail in October on the Indy we are staying overnight in a hotel which is right opposite the Ciy Cruise Terminal where she docks so we will be there as soon as we are allowed in.

You have picked a great first cruise , I love all three of those places. The sail out of St Thomas in the evening is fab. Just as the sun is setting and the town lights up its gorgeous.  
I guarantee this won't be your last cruise once you've done one you'll be hooked :)
 
My wife and I are going on the independence round the Canaries in October and this will be our first Royal Caribbean Cruise and thanks to all the info from the great bunch of people on this blog I think that RC will be our cruise line for quite some time.

I have got round this by using another email address and adding a number to my user name so that people can see its me posting on both the message board and the questions.

So what's this guys idea of fun ?, I can only think it must be on a ship with 3 classes and bars that don't allow women. Thank god we dont have ships like that anymore. I think he is missing the point of a cruise which is TO HAVE FUN !!!!!!!. Bring on the Bumber Cars , parades , skating and as many fun things as RC can come up with.

Let me know which ship has the best Casino on board and your biggest win. My biggest was $1600 .00 while playing Let it Ride and my wife's was $1200.00 on a wheel of fortune slot machine.

It's not a link you sign up through, if you have cruised on RC and gambled in the Casino, you are probably a member. I was and didn't know it, just by using my Sea Pass card at the tables and in the slot machines. If you know that you have gambled on a cruise and used your Sea Pass card you can call 1888-561-2234 and they can confirm if you are a member or not.

Marc or Tony...maybe you know for certain but to my knowledge there is no restriction on club membership.  Just not sure about pricing since UK pricing rules are so different.  I believe that you would be eligible for all of the onboard perks such as free drinks in the casino and waiving the 5% convenience fee (so long as you qualify).  I don't want to steer you wrong though.  Anyone else ?

An organized tour will be your easiest and cheapest bet. Something like eCoaches at roughly 40 Euros will include your admission tour of Cork, and a stop in Kinsale for lunch if you opt for the all day tour.
If you want to spend the whole day at Blarney Castle, then I'd look into booking private transport.

My wife and i now always pre purchase all our trips , dinning and spa etc as you then only spend maybe $100.00 - $200.00 but it will obviously depend on what else you purchase on the ship .
Usually hurts me though as my wife loves to buy from the Michael Kors shop on the Indy OOOUUUCH .

Hi KatyM, we are actually back there next month on the Navigator Of The Seas and you will love it. 
We were also there last October on the Indy and you have many options. When you arrive in Le Havre there are local taxis right by the ship who can take you in to town or if you prefer it is about a 20 to 30 mins walk to Le Havre or you can opt for a excursion from RC which we did last time and opted for Honfleur it was beautiful in fact we have decided to do the same trip while there next month. It is a local harbour with great shops and restaurants and a fantastic medieval church which is a must see. the nice thing about this trip is that it is affordable and only lasts about 4 hours so you get back to the ship with plenty of time to explore Le Havre if you wish or just chill out on board till sail off. We also opted for the same trip again as it was so lovely we cant wait to see it in the height of summer, there is also an option for Deauville which is also a good option as it has a promenade and beach huts that are named after a list celebs and a great beach.
Another nice thing about this port of call is that you get ages there as we don't sail till 21:00

Royal moved our cabin about two weeks prior to sailing even though our reservation was marked "no upgrade" and no notice was given. I just happened to notice it when logged into the Cruise Planner. My TA worked at getting us moved back to a midship cabin and we received onboard credit as a result. We also had an issue with check-in where Royal claimed we owed money due to a "complimentary upgrade" that we didn't receive, and the C&A host comped our dinner at Chops as an apology since it took several days to resolve.

We are are on the Navigator in 44 days YIPPPPEEEE so i will check out the MDR menu and if it's the new one i will photograph it and also see if there are any new additions to Chops etc .

We love Johnny Rockets it ticks all the boxes. Fun , great burgers and shakes and for $6 what more could you want. 
Oh and one other good thing is that if you want to chill on your balcony you can get take out .
