  1. We haven't purchased a drinks package yet so i can't help you with that but i'm sure someone can :)
  2. Beer selection is good both bottle and draught and is roughly $5-$7 depending on what you have, see below Cocktails are about $8-$12 and spirits are about $6 upwards. Hope this helps :)
  3. Your spot on Matt , we had a D2 on Deck 9 on the independence last year and have opted for the same this year because the room and balcony are slightly larger then an E also we are quite near the back which is cool because you are very near the Windjammer and Chops etc.
  4. Hi Theresia, welcome to the blog. I'm sure that there will be someone here who has been on the Serenade and can tell you how much fun you can have on the ship, just because she is smaller than the Allure doesn't mean she lacks some great entertainment :) .
  5. Hi Jason, welcome to the blog and happy honeymoon.
  6. Welcome Hwyfuzz, you've come to the right place to share info and chat to some great people. We can't wait for next year as the Allure is coming over here and hope to try Oasis class for the first time but with the Anthem coming to Southampton it's going to be a tough choice to decide which to try first :) .
  7. Welcome Stacyleigh75 :). We love Disney too in fact we got married at the magic Kingdom and had our first RC cruise last year on the independence. You will love it here , great info and great people.
  8. I agree, while on the Independence last October they showed most of the top UK Soccer games on the jumbo screen by the pool and they even had a channel on the monitors attached to the equipment in the Gym showing the games.
  9. I think you are right Tylor and as far as far as the UK goes i think the writing is on the wall as Allure is in Europe next year and i think that with the departure of Adventure this year and Explorer only doing one season in 2015 and heading to Australia I really think that from 2016 they are planning to base the Allure in Southampton from May to October each season. BOY I HOPE SO :) :)
  10. Mmmmm a joke I have made of this young jedi and it looks like a TRIUMPH :) :)
  11. Good point Matt :) . The other option is to take a laptop pc with some movies pre loaded on it.
  12. Sounds like Explorer won't be coming back to the UK and with Adventure based in San Juan until at least April 2016 will my guess about Allure(see 2 posts up)be right ?.
  13. I know what you mean Matt no matter how good your intentions are or how full you may be it's a bit of a Darth Vader moment and you have to give in to the dark side :)
  14. Hi and welcome to the blog, yes there are movies to watch on the tv in your cabin most of which are pay per view but they do screen some for free. The movies are about $4-$5 and are quite recent the only problem is the signal on the TVs is poor so you often get a bad picture. A portable DVD player is not a bad idea but you probably wont spend that much time in your cabin as there is loads to do day and night. There is another option which is the huge outdoor screen which shows movies at least once a day if the Rhapsody has one ?, i'm sure another member of the blog will have sailed on her and can tell you if there is one on board. Hope this helps.
  15. That's interesting , so if that happens we will only have the Anthem based at Southampton unless (and this is only a guess)RC are going to make Southampton Allure Of The Seas home port in the UK for our Summer Season if she is successfuI in the Mediterranean next year. NOW THAT WOULD BE COOL. :) If that did happen which ship would go from Fort Lauderdale ?????
  16. I agree Shawn it is a good time to go especially if you have just got back on board and want a snack to keep you going till dinner.
  17. I agree Matt and considering it's mass produced the quality and the flavours are of a really good standard, in fact it's better than a lot of the Indian Restaurants here in the UK.
  18. I think the writing is on the wall :) . It will also be interesting to hear why RC swapped the two Voyager Class Ships around.
  19. October 13th 2014 Independence Of The Seas. :D  :D
  20. Tylor what are you doing to me buddy these pictures are torture i'm sitting here drooling like Homer Simpson (mmmmmm chocolate) :D :D
  21. Unfortunately the Independence is the only RC ship we have sailed on so far so i'm not sure if all the ships do afternoon tea the same way. I hope they do though as my wife would not be happy. :)
  22. I didn't see Shrimp in the Windjammer on the Independence, maybe you should suggest to RC that it would be a nice addition to the buffet :)
  23. I have just checked on RC UK Website and the Adventure will leave from Southampton on the 2nd of Nov for the last time bound for San Juan and will (according to the booking schedule on their site) be based there untill at least April 2016. And as Matt said, Thing is, Adventure and Explorer are both Voyager class ships and both will have been refurbished by summer 2015. So why would Explorer have to replace Adventure? . I also think that is strange because surley it would of been easier to leave the Adventure here in the UK and send the Explorer to San Juan. and he also said I think they needed to open a slot up in Port Canaveral and if I had to bet, I'd wager it's to make room for an Oasis-class ship. Just a guess,, and i think he is spot on with his guess :)
