  1. ...meaning any available rapid antigen test in the US is accepted from OnPoint and RapidTest for certification
  2. @OCSC MikeI was referring to OnPoint testing. RapidTest you wrote wanted FDA approved tests. OnPoint posts nothing about that. eg The BinaxNOW™ COVID-19 Antigen Self Test has not been FDA cleared or approved. This looks like On Point would accept this one also
  3. Does Onpoint truly accept any test kits, even the Abbot Test yourself at home? And provide with a valid certificate?
  4. I checked both Marriott Properties, and also the other hotels in airport vicinity. Prices tend to go up Does anybody maybe have an idea about a company doing a Manhattan sightseeing trip and afterwards dropping of at the airport? Like the excursion royal offers, but cheaper?
  5. We just booked our first Alaska cruise on Radiance OTS in early August 23. Had a hard time selecting cabins for us and a 3 and 11y old, but chose finally 8500 (Family oceanview or ultra spacious ocean view), which seems perfect. I am only wondering, if the cabins 8502 or the 8002 - the same category, but side facing provide more space or views? Have you been in one of those? Thanks, Carotthat
  6. Folks, thanks so much for all your input. We are quite crazy already now about the suite The only topic not yet resolved is the departure feature... As we are having a very late flight back from EWR. any more time provided on the ship would be great.
  7. We booked a JS on Adventure OTS in august for the 4day itinerary from Cape Liberty to Halifax. Out of desperation with two kids with us, I bid to all higher suite categories, 3 out of 4 (with low bids though) were declined. Last night, on T-25, my CC was charged and the eMail said, we got an Owners suite. Wow Perfect for our family, large suite, low bid (160€ pp ) Maybe you could help me with these questions: - is there a room divider between the seating area and the queen bed? - is the concierge club been crowded during happy hour in your experience? - what about MDR food and room service? Would you recommend it? - which specialty restaurant is serving breakfast - giovannis? - what is the departure feature about? Thanks, Caro
  8. The cruise ships in that time of year are Radiance, Enchantement (Vision class) and Quantum+Ovation (Quantum class). The Quantum class cruises don't look very suitable to our trip - so there are maybe no connection options on the Radiance and Enchantement?
  9. We are planning Alaska next year, so maybe on Radiance eg. There aren't balcony connecting outside cabins ever available?
  10. Thanks. I was thinking about booking two different categories eg balcony and outside online, with cabin assigned by royal. Would the system have a feedback, if this is not possible? Or do I have to call them?
  11. Hello, Is it possible to book connecting staterooms in different categories? Like one with balcony, the other one without? Thanks
  12. We've been 4 weeks ago on the Greek Island Cruise. No tests needed.
  13. You don't need anything to step on greek soil.
  14. Transferring from Civitavecchia Train Station to the ship is easy, hop on one of the red/green busses. 3€/way. If I'd stay in central rome, I'd pick a train to get to the port. Nothing is easier and cheaper than that.
  15. By reading the RCL page once again, I saw this indepth: Unvaccinated kids age 2 to 11 must show a negative test result for a PCR test (not antigen) taken no more than 3 days before boarding day. AND Per U.S. CDC guidance, only vaccinated guests may present self-administered telehealth COVID-19 test results at the terminal to satisfy the pre-cruise testing requirement. Supervised telehealth tests are not accepted for unvaccinated guests – only for vaccinated guests -> our daughter with 10y, not vaccinated, has to have a live in person PCR test....... I did not yet see this combination
  16. We've been on Odyssey four weeks ago. Keep in mind to pick a suitable disembarkation time (eg 8am) - check with guest services early en route to let them assign it. Disembarkation with all our luggage was easy, no hassle, not crowded. We picked one of the citavecchia shuttles to the train station (3€/pp, kids free) and travelled with trains (interchanging at Trastevere) to Fuimucino. Arrived about 2:30 after disembarking right at the airport train station. Checking in (had OLCI before) was easy (but we are *A Gold) and security no problem. We had plenty of time for lounge and arrived early at the gate. Departure time for the flight was 1:30pm, btw. The only problem I assume at Rome airport could be security lines. Other, we did not experience. Caro
  17. Nice links, thanks Patty.... CVS charges how much? I cannot it open from Europe. What do you think about the exposure trick? Does it work for foreigners?
  18. I am truly not surprised, having witnessed last cruise how some guests took part in a passengers' conversation with a crew member, which was truly none of their business. But hej, they simply wanted to help the crew member before it was harassed by the other passenger. And hej, they started loud harrassing this guest and using the f* words. Nonetheless, it was simply a conversation from the one guest with the crew member. Guys, stick to your stuff
  19. As posted here we're on a road trip with last station Adventure OTS.
  20. What do you think about PCR Test for kiddos - as RC states, all kids over 2 have to bring a PCR-Test (if not vaccinated). As I am browsing the net, most walk-ins only provide tests for 3+. I think we are stuck
  21. Does "Judi" also have a recommendation for PCR-Tests for the kids unvaccinated?
  22. We are on the 4nights cruise from Cape Liberty in August on Adventure OTS. Our unvaccinated kids (2 to 11 years old) have to take a PCR-Test, us adults a Rapid Antigen Test - as the Royal policy states till now. Being europeans without american insurance or passport, is there a chance to get free or cheap test? All I found was like 150$ for PCR on the regular sites.... Rapid antigen test would be Abbott BinaxNOW™ COVID-19 Ag Card Home Test via eMed. Or do you have other ideas? Location is gonna be the Hudson valley, from Lake George down to Poughkeepsie, NY. Thanks Caro
