  1. Looking for a three nighter to Nassau in november 2024, we have to decide between Liberty or Allure. Having been on some of the older ships, Allure seems to be a nice option for this short cruise, however she departs from MIA. Liberty would depart from FLL. Do you have recommendations for outside stateroom categories on Allure? Balcony would be lost money for this cruise, being most of the time onshore. The price difference even with boardwalk, central park etc is not that big - even compared to Liberty, GTY for sure is cheaper. Preferably we would not like to have people looking in our cabin inside from the other side, although any outside cabin would however be fine. Caro
  2. I don't wanna know how much you paid for this pre-cruise things
  3. ...and Denali Park has some problems with the Pretty Rock Landslide. Everything after MM 43 is closed.
  4. I understand. In that case dayuse.com is really the best option. I even got the Hilton F&B Voucher after staying at an airport hotel last time for only 6h.
  5. @sleepy425are you determined for that late flight? Or choose an earlier one the next day, pick a hotel next to the canadian route on translink and enjoy a day in vancouver...
  6. If you're dating on the cruise anyhow, always consider the tip https://www.cnbc.com/2023/07/21/why-tipflation-might-ruin-your-chances-for-a-second-date.html Tipflation
  7. Excuse me? Calling this an extortion is kind a bummer, as we europeans had to pay for several years your ESTA fees, and even more since the raise last year! So please, be fair.
  8. Turo was almost the same price as AVIS. No advantage there around our dates.
  9. For our upcoming cruise in three weeks, I booked a smaller SUV with AVIS - pickup and dropoff is at the dock area. Was around 280$/day, even cheaper and more comfy for a family than taking the blue, green or what so ever bus. And you can explore the whole area around Juneau on your own!
  10. I went for the DBP at our upcoming Alaska sailing, 68€ a day. Cheapest was 63€ last black friday, but then their IT busted it. Regularly it went by 73€....
  11. We're booked on RTS on aug 4th and there was no Royal Up eMail yet
  12. Same as sky high prices for food in restaurants. As long as anybody is willing to pay exorbitantly high prices for the same quality food and the tables are taken, it will continue.
  13. Disembarking is really fast, Shuttles are taking you to the train station, they leave every 5 minutes from the Port. This could be the only tight problem, to catch a bus. Then leave the bus at the train station and jump into the train heading to Rome. Should work out fine, we took the 9AM train without any major problems last summer.
  14. Thanks for your input. Seems to be quite a journey with them then. Also, I believe the bev packages are gonna be really really expensive...
  15. Interesting topic. We (all europeans) are going to fly via DFW (point of entry) to Anchorage, then Seward, heading south to Vancouver with Radiance OTS. From Vancouver then via DEN to Austin, TX. If I did you understand correctly, there should be no time hassle at Vancouver airport, as we already got our I-94 assigned in DFW. And even no problems deploying in Vancouver (having e-TAs all of us)? Caro
  16. Found this during surfing the web: www.rocklegendscruise.com Sailing from Miami in february 2024 to the dominican republic and vice versa for a 4 nite cruise with the Legends of Rock. Seems to be the 11th of that type. I am quite astonished about the prices they charge for the staterooms - a simple balcony runs for 2300$ after taxes. Bev packages cannot be bought before OLCI, C&A points are collected, but no advantages for status. Anyone ever been on one of these cruises? The line up is not that bad Caro
  17. Just a quick search on https://www.alaskarailroad.com/ride-a-train/availability-calendar?service_type_id=3&outbound_from_region=6002&outbound_to_region=6032&service_class=a&the_year=2023&the_month=07 reveals, there is only one date blocked out in adventure (the cheaper) class... Goldstar however, is almost sold out.
  18. Some thoughts: A picc line is a central venous access into your blood stream. Also for bacteries, if it's not handled properly. There is TPN on the (european) market which has not to be chilled. Maybe you can switch? Is the TPN supplementary or is she completely dependend (would make me wonder with only 14 hours of run time a day)? The medical services on the ship can for sure manage all of this. But I don't think it is included in the cruise packages' price...
  19. TPN has not to be chilled. But are you sure, a cruise itself od not a major obstacle under these circumstances?
  20. You can find all the informations on the page of italien train. It is also in english available.
