Contemplating going here for lunch on embarkation day. Any recommendations from the lunch menu?

How deep is the pool at Coco beach club?  Contemplating taking my granddaughter who is 6, just wondering if she will be able to stand up in the pool.

The good thing is I know I am going to be wowed myself, I’m generally a jr suite person.  Only stayed in a grand a couple times and a 2 bedroom a couple times myself.  I’ve had cabanas at Labadee but this is only my 3rd time to CocoCay and never had a cabana there before. 
 

so maybe the truth is I’m not trying to wow her but I’m selfish and I want it all for myself.

She knows about none of these upgrades. Keeping a secret this long is painful. 
 

reminds me of when I started Christmas shopping early for the kids, you know, to get done early. When in fact it just gave me more time to pick up “just one more gift”

We are on the 4 night Freedom on Sept 20

She is 28,half my age but we have become pretty good friends, she has low self esteem and I have been trying to be friend/mom and build her confidence up. Matter of fact I am helping her (just coaching) get her own dog grooming business going so this may be her last relaxation period before the long hours that go with starting a business.

So long story short, ok never mind long story long:

A girlfriend of mine (my dog groomer) really wanted to go on a cruise, but said she ‘could never afford it’. So I made her a deal, I generally tip her $80 a month for grooming my foo foo dogs. I withheld tips for 8 months before we were supposed to cruise October 2020.  That was relatively close to half the cost of an inside cabin and a coach plane ticket.

Well during COVID I had nothing to do except dream about cruising and those dreams said this is my first cruise back (I did take a 3 day with my 78 year old mother in July but it was a very slow paced uneventful weekend)and we need to do it right.  So now I’ve upgraded everything, I mean everything. While most of these upgrades are for me as well, I’m actually wondering if my friend will have a wow factor. 

we are flying first class, she has only flown once in her life, when she was 12,to Disney

I have a stretch limo taking us from our Fort Lauderdale hotel to the ship

We are in a grand suite, compared to an average hotel room, it’s probably similar

We have oasis lagoon cabana and over the water cabana booked for our coco cay days

im super excited but I might be disappointed that she will not share my excitement, because she has nothing to compare to.

do you think she will be wowed or just like ‘ok this is cruising”?

Here is a locking pouch with tether, lock it to a chair throw a towel over it and you should be fine.  No one is going to bust a chair or carry it off.

On the Freedom mid July there were the pepita(pumpkin seed) rolls and French bread both cold but then there were warm Asiago cheese rolls, soft, warm and delicious.

Buying an upgrade would be significantly more than I paid for the cruise, this is a cruise I got a pretty good rate on a long time back. I’m going about half what the upgrade to a grand is. Which is still a fairly big bid but also still a deal.

Does anyone know if the bed in an owners suite is able to be made into 2 twins. In all the videos I see it appears to be a different bed, not rounded at the foot.  I’m trying to place my royal up bids but we need 2 beds

My July Freedom sailing I was notified on Wednesday afternoon for a Friday sailing

I am super giddy for my upcoming cruise. Winning a Royal Up would be icing on the cake. I’m treating a girl friend who has never cruised before and have pulled out most of the stops. A Royal Up would be spectacular

I got my Royal Up offer today for my Sept 20 sailing.  I'm going big

I currently am in a junior suite and bid on grand, 2 bedroom, owners and royal suites.....

The Royal Suite is not available but the others are, With a relatively high bid I would think I will get something!

This may be challenging for us. We sail Sun Nov 28, day 0; Sat Nov 27 we will be in Orlando, day 1; Fri Nov 26 flying, day 2; Thur Nov 25 Thanksgiving, day 3

i doubt we will find a test on Turkey day, so hopefully can Uber to somewhere in Orlando. Or the protocols change by then

I tried...just got the "checking" with the swirling circle thinking   I want a grand suite darn it....I know just pony up the $$$$

My July 16 cruise i got the email on June 6, which was about 40 days.  Haven't seen anything for my Sept 20 sailing yet, but at 49 days....but I am impatient!!!!

Has there been any consistency to when the Royal Up offers come out?  I am anxious to bid on my Sept 20 Freedom cruise, with the lower capacity your odds are so much better.

Anyone have a hotel recommendation for Miami?  I’d prefer a Hilton hotel if possible.

I am taking a friend on her first ever cruise. She paid her half of an interior. Little does she know I upgraded to a junior suite because I am a suite snob. I bet she will be broke forever. Haha
