  1. You would think Indy would take the 7 day sailings since it's amped and have Liberty take the shorter sailings. We're booked on Liberty 10/31. Would love an amped ship but at this point, I just want on a dang ship. Our itinerary still has Cayman on it so expecting that will change since all I've heard is Cayman says no ships until 2022.
  2. I just asked Royal on FB about the scheduled dry dock and basically was told they have no info at this time. So the drydock may be postponed. I guess like everything else with cruises these days, we'll know when we know.
  3. Liberty is scheduled for a dry dock in July. Additionally, each ship is required to do a test cruise. They have not yet requested one for Liberty. I doubt your cruise will go. Independence is there though so it's possible they could do a test with Indy and have a revenue cruise ready by your sail date but I highly doubt it. The Galveston port has said they are ready - all up to the lines and the CDC. So....doesn't look likely for a July 11th Liberty but you can cross your fingers for Indy replacing her. But I give that about a 10% chance of happening.
  4. Not sure how they can say Texas has not proved economic impact. Galveston is the 3rd busiest port in the country. Royal was about to start construction on a new pier. 1000's of jobs impacted in addition to the usual hotel/restaurant/airline/etc etc.
  5. Yeah, not crazy about the lack of vaccine requirement. Not sure where the logic is on that. We'll see if it happens - pretty ballsy to make the announcement if they have doubts they can make it.
  6. Carnival just announced yesterday that they are sailing out of Galveston July 3rd. Hoping they stick to it - Royal won't be far behind I bet.
