Two guests test positive on Adventure of Seas
Heymarco replied to Jverge's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I think cruising will continue to go back to normal. Overall cases in the US continue to decline, no new case surge based on Delta at this point. -
Two guests test positive on Adventure of Seas

Sorry but why? ? There was no mass outbreak onboard, it didn’t even affect anyone else’s cruise. If anything, it just proves continental trend of greatly reduced spread and really proves that new protocols work great. -
In case anyone didn’t see the announcement this week, Harmony will be restarting on August 15th with cruises from Barcelona and Rome. Directly from Royal’s website… https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/itinerary-updates

Marc Walker shared we can expect a Harmony announcement next week!

Another great sign…. https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2021-05-29/spain-to-welcome-back-international-cruises-from-june-7

It’s been very quiet on the European front as of late, was hoping to have some updates by now. Good news is that Harmony is still cruising around empty in the Med, picking up supplies in Barcelona every now and then. No more updates from Marc Walker though (cruise director slated to return to Harmony), he still appears to be in Florida. ?

Switch Method of booking to save a lot of money???
Heymarco replied to Blondie511's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I did a quick scam analysis on the website and everything seems legit. It has been up for 21 years, has high traffic, and is not blacklisted anywhere. Sounds like a great deal on a block of rooms they are trying sell. One time I booked a top balcony room for a cruise on the Royal Carribean Germany site for cheaper than an interior room was going for on the Royal Carribean US site. -
Good sign. Although every day that goes by, the CDC’s CSO feels more and more outdated. I live in the Northeast and my state has dropped all covid restriction including masks, capacity limits, and social distancing. It’s just a matter of time for cruise ship guidance to catch up. At this point we’re talking about a ship with 5,000 vs arena with 10,000.

Royal officially cancelled all of the Israel sailings and is bringing the ship to Florida. Interesting move since it is almost full of crew, seems like they are banking on resuming soon from US instead. https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/cruises/2021/05/15/israel-conflict-royal-caribbean-cancels-odyssey-haifa-sailings/5108878001/

Alaska sailing without Canada stop
Heymarco replied to Baked Alaska's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I think the bill should have just made the exclusion permanent. The goal of the PVSA was to help US firms and workers. For Alaskan cruises, it only benefits Canada. -
Harmony will be in Barcelona for the first time this season on Monday.

CT is dropping their mandate on Wednesday the 19th. -
We rented a private boat and got upgraded to a catamaran. We had the flexibility to stop at a small beach right in between the Pitons. Great day!!!

Question regarding legal drinking age on RCL shore excursions
Heymarco replied to Ian T's topic in Shore Excursions
Pretty sure most Carribean excursion operators don’t know or care about ship’s policy. If you look of age, they will offer you rum punch, etc. Even onboard was able to get a drink or two with someone else’s sea pass card a time or two back in the day. ?? -
When we took it it, water was relatively smooth and most people sat outside and enjoyed the sun and breeze. It is about a 45 minute ride though with normal boat motion.

So maybe either: A. Vaccine requirement coming soon. B. The CDC approval process has already began behind the scenes. C. They have inside info on hearing today or are banking on CDC being heavily restricted. D. They have no true intention of sailing in July but keeping options open in case something changes.

Carnival also announced they would resume in August 2020. ?

Any word on vaccination requirements, children, etc?
