  1. Pure politics, US started this for EU tourists so EU responded for American tourists. This news story is years old, just finally going into effect. Thankfully I can travel both ways and not pay for any of it.
  2. But why? Makes no sense for a large mob to travel to a remote part of the island. Easy enough to load up cruise ship and pull out if it became riskier. Also, there is a lot more security than can be seen. They hide the big guns from the tourists for good reason.
  3. Maybe just think of it as sharing the only available pool. Can't believe that some people think kids should swim in an outdoor pool when it's 50° out or not have any pool at all. The outdoor pool can be your quiet area when it's 50 degrees out.
  4. We never got our supporting docs back and had to order a new birth certificate. This site is fairly quick. https://www.vitalchek.com/v/birth-certificates
  5. You should be banned from all elevators if they let you through, not very considerate to other guests. Just trust the process, it's simple enough.
  6. You never know, we went from Balcony to Crown Loft Suite for $1600 and bid was accepted a month in advance. Sailing sold out a few weeks ago. Boarding Sunday.
  7. On Allure coming up, are they limiting hours and requiring parents to schedule or is it wide open? We got spoiled when ships weren't sailing full yet.
  8. You can not call toll free numbers from outside of the U.S. Cheers!
  9. You are overthinking it. Change husband and son now before going, no need to have adult booked in room for adjacent cabins. Cancel the internet and Key perks as well, don't think you will need it for your family.
  10. Yes, can confirm we used it for an unvaccinated child and it wasn’t an issue as all. Can’t recall if it said PCR or NAAT. No need to sweat it though, by this time all the pier workers are very familiar with all the test types.
  11. We used NAAT for our unvaccinated children on two cruises.
  12. Yes, it counts as a PCR. This can be found in testing details on Royal’ site.
  13. Royal is targeting 100%, safe to assume it will be close to that soon.
  14. Where and when did you see 50% advertised? We sailed on a cruise over Thanksgiving that was already at 80%.
  15. Yes, Royal accepts PCR/NAAT tests for unvaccinated children. They do not accept antigen tests for unvaccinated. This is clearly laid out on their website and been confirmed numerous times by people here, including myself. Cheers!
  16. I thought the yes, with supporting documentation from Royal’s website was a pretty solid answer.
  17. Wow, AO on Symphony was wide open the week before. They wouldn’t even take bookings.
  18. Here is a fascinating read on the subject. Hope you didn’t have a frenemy cancel it. https://www.elliott.org/cruises/royal-caribbean-canceled-cruise-help/
  19. They haven’t done Hairspray musical for months.
  20. Great news, thank you Matt! enjoy your cruise!
  21. Laser tag, parades, 1/2 production shows on some ships, library has no books. YMMV.
  22. Correct, $1.99 per day, per device. So it’s about $14 per device on a 7 night cruise.
  23. Well given that almost all current sailings are still for sale suggest low demand, not cap control by Royal. Cheers!
