  1. Ths is the most riduculous statement ever made. People can be asymptomatic and spread the virus. COVID-19 infections are common in people of all ages, including children who can be asymptomatic and spread it. The cruise line protocols are working perfectly to detect it and isolate them in order to stop the spread and not bring cruising to another halt.
  2. The protocols works!! Let's keep cruising!! ---------------------------- Passengers on MSC Seaside cruise ship test positive for COVID-19, disembark in Sicily Morgan Hines USA TODAY Two passengers on board MSC Cruises' MSC Seaside ship tested positive for COVID-19, disembarking Tuesday during a scheduled port call Siracusa a city in Sicily, Italy. Both passengers were asymptomatic and tested positive during a routine test that is scheduled midway through the itinerary during all MSC cruises, Paige Rosenthal, MSC spokesperson, told USA TODAY Wednesday. "Immediately after testing positive, the two passengers and their traveling parties were isolated," Rosenthal said. "Similarly, their close contacts were quickly identified and isolated." Those passengers traveling with the two guests who tested positive all tested negative, as did other close contacts. All MSC passengers are required to take a test before leaving home 48- to 96 hours prior to the cruise's departure time and one more before embarkation. "This was their third test," Rosenthal said. After getting off the ship, the two passengers and accompanying parties were taken home by "protected MSC Cruises transport" in coordination with local health authorities. MSC Seaside has since left Siracusa and is continuing on the itinerary as scheduled. The passengers who tested positive and those in their party were not allowed to disembark in Malta where the ship docked ahead of the Siracusa port call, given it was a technical stop and passengers were never meant to get off the ship, CNN reported. Rosenthal said that the two positive COVID-19 tests are "another demonstration" that the cruise line's health and safety protocol is working. MSC has been cruising in the Mediterranean since the summer.
  3. Couldn't have said it better myself. I took the 100% refund and will not book Royal Caribbean until I am 100% assured that everything is moving forward.
  4. Royal Caribbean Announces Global Suspension Of Cruising Last updated June 4th, 2021 We’ve been diligently working on our Royal Comeback – and it’s starting to shape up. It’s taken months of planning and coordinating and we’re still finalizing new homeports and communicating with local governments and authorities to ensure our new protocols maintain your safety and wellbeing. As we continue down this path, we’ve decided to extend our suspension of some sailings through August 31, 2021. The following circumstances have extended the suspension for the following ships and sailings: • Adventure of the Seas June 5 to October 14, 2021: Instead of offering sailings from Barcelona, Spain, Adventure of the Seas will now offer sailings from Nassau, Bahamas beginning June 2021. • Jewel of the Seas June 7 to October 31, 2021: Instead of offering sailings from Northern Europe; Barcelona, Spain; and Boston, Massachusetts, Jewel of the Seas will now offer sailings from Limassol, Cyprus beginning June 2021. • Odyssey of the Seas May 9 to October 28, 2021 sailings departing from Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy. Odyssey of the Seas was to resume operations beginning June 2nd, 2021 out of Haifa, Israel. However, due to the unrest in Israel and the region, we have not been able to complete the preparation required to operate and as a result, sailings out of Haifa will be cancelled. • Quantum of the Seas Alaska sailings departing April 5 to October 14, 2021: In order to allow additional time for our preparation, Quantum of the Seas will remain in the Asia-Pacific region. • Radiance of the Seas July 2 to September 24, 2021: Radiance of the Seas was to resume operations from Vancouver, Canada and Seward, Alaska beginning July 2021. However, a new bill has been signed to allow us to sail to Alaska without the normal requirement of an additional stop in another country. As a result, these sailings will be cancelled.
  5. You didn't search on Royal's website which is right there. Here are all the Q&A's about the process: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/topics/online-check-in-boarding
  6. Yup...my sister's birthday and she's not a happy camper as she was supposed to be celebrating on the Symphony of the Seas.
  7. I can sorta buy that but why would they not cancel Freedom from Cape Liberty in July (first week) knowing very well that it's sailing from Miami??? You know what they say, if it walks like a liar duck, talks like a duck, it probably is a liar duck. ?
  8. Don't tell RCG Customer Services OR your TA this as they are denying it tooth and nail even if you send them a screenshot. Never seen so much sneakiness in my life. You can't even say, as the saying goes, "that they are parked on dumb and stuck on stupid". They are just liars!
  9. Well this came from the TA which, as she said, is not final. So, I'm taking it with a grain of salt as we all know things change from day to day.
  10. Got a tip from TA that the Diamond Lounge won't be open initially, BUT, instead of three drinks daily on your seapass card, RCG is increasing it to five drinks daily. TA also stated that it is not final as of yet as RCG might tweek it further. Let's hope it's an improvement.
  11. It won't be cancelled as there is huge hopes over the horizon and things seems to be returning back to some normality.
  12. R.I.P., my friend. Thank you for The Love Boat which started my obsession with crusing. You will be truly missed !! ??????? https://www.avclub.com/r-i-p-the-love-boat-and-mary-tyler-moore-show-star-gav-1846998975
  13. Nobody really knows but rumor has it as a possible August opening.
  14. Wow!! I couldn't have said it better. 100% agree!! Thank you !!
  15. Can't wait till counting down the days till cruise time is back to normal once again. Love the adrenaline rush like riding a roller coaster.
  16. Never said these were test cruises. Pointing out what FotS schedule shows up on the app.
  17. I'm 37 days out and nothing is ramping up quickly. What's going to ramp up are the refunds from the cancelations as many are growing tired of RCG's lack of respect for their loyal customers.
  18. Did RCG check with you regarding your flexibility fom one week to another or did they just do it?
