  1. I'm with you. As a travel agent, I was fully behind this "wait and see" approach. But at this point, it is the end of May and July cruise updates have NOT been announced. We all know not all July cruises are sailing - so Royal is holding onto fully paid bookings leaving guests with no options. On top of that, they have not even formally announced protocols -- most importantly vaccine requirements. Personally, I have 5 cabins booked on Symphony for July 31st. I do not think we can cruise if you must be fully vaccinated, so I will need to cancel. However, I can not approach the subject bc nothing has been laid out by Royal. Today's travel agent webinar was all Alaska -- which is great. But still nothing on Caribbean sailings from US ports. I am now extremely frustrated.
  2. Not sure if this was posted yet, but on today's TA webinar - Vicki Freed said we should have restart information on next week's call (Wednesday).... fingers crossed!
  3. Yes!!! Those updates are great news! And right in line with what the cruise line leaders have been telling us travel agents via webinars this week. This is all great news for a July restart!
  4. For me, if I have to mask indoor areas (walking to dinner, hallways, etc) -- I can deal with that. If I have to mask while sitting on the lounger near the pool -- I'm out. And I am not sure there will be many folk who will sail on a Caribbean Cruise that requires masks OUTSIDE on SOCIALLY DISTANCED chairs ..... #Science
  5. My thoughts exactly ..... I'm so confused!
  6. The information posted today was regarding the TEST cruises - so I'm with you on your thoughts. They did state they would NOT be offering anything for phase 4. So, my question is ..... why make the test cruises have so many hoops? My assumption would be that it is because eventually they may have some unvaccinated travelers. Ugh .... I don't know. Would Royal just come out with their plans so we know and don't have to interpret this BS.
  7. What is everyone's thoughts on best Beach Bed location? Currently have South Beach booked .... but not sure I think how far away from things it is. Ideally I'd like a great beach spot with no one or at least not a lot of people in front us and close-ish to amenities ?
  8. So Symphony is on the way to Cadiz for her scheduled dry dock. Thoughts on if this would affect the possible July restart? Wondering if the dry dock would hinder the restart of crew, vaccinations and such? Ship is due to dock on May 20th in Cadiz. Booked on July 31st sailing and desperate to know the details from Royal!!! LOL
  9. I know .... we shall see ? They are vaccinating on Monday 5/3 ..... so 2/3 weeks after for 2nd dose and 2 weeks after that for fully vaccination status .... takes us to June 7th for those members on board. We'll need to see about adding more crew and their vaccination status. Time will tell ?
  10. That news clip is interesting bc Carnival updated their site yesterday and has 3 ships sailing in July - 2 from Galveston and 1 from Miami. All others are pulled down. (This is the TA side of things too). Can't wait until we are given more information soon!!!
  11. Where are we with mask wearing on lido decks? Obviously no masks while swimming but do we think IF summer sailings go we will be asked to mask while sitting in a lounger? That is really my only breaking point ..... and final payment due Sunday 5/2 ......... ugh
  12. I read on another post that the full new documents have a clause for kids under 16 - they won't need to be vaccinated (for obvious reasons). Has anyone seen actual wording on this yet?
