  1. hope its not being dropped, the MDR lunch is also a perk for us B2B sailors.
  2. Not sure about the DBP, but I'm sure glad those Dimond drink vouchers work on the last day, oh, I mean morning. Vacation ain't over till you get home.
  3. also, be advised; somewhat limited drink selections out there
  4. 95% sure its a wall based off this video from a floor below https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/slideshow-cabin.php?ship=Anthem-of-the-Seas&cabin=9233 but as mentioned, its easy to cut across at the stairs
  5. if your sail is still a month or more away, I'ld give them a call and ask for a higher deck, it can't hurt to ask even if closer in.
  6. it means basically if you walk to the railing and look down, there will be life boats, not water. Deck 7 labeled obstructed are usually in front of the white arms that hold up the life boats. Deck 7 on the bumps have a straight down water view. Siting on the balcony and looking out straight, you should be fine. For an example, check out this room video https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/slideshow-cabin.php?ship=Anthem-of-the-Seas&cabin=7210 from a few doors down.
  7. I remembered Matt's article on one in the class having it, and new it wasn't Anthem as we have been on her a bunch. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2021/09/07/top-10-odyssey-of-the-seas-hidden-secrets#:~:text=Secret Solarium entrance, lower level of the Solarium.
  8. I saw we are going to have to sign for our free drinks now, so we will all have a suitcase full of paper to review once we get home
  9. $266/Hour for your efforts, not bad. Glad you finally made it through with out the battery running out. I hate when that happens
  10. On our last cruise (Oct '22) we were told by a fellow slot player that the three reward streams (annual, cash out, and per cruise perks) all use the same tracking count (time and dollars in), but are completely separate reward streams. Meaning we were free to cash out our bonus money with out affecting our per cruise award total, or our annual. Sounds like they may have been wrong, or am I missing a finer point... Thanks.
  11. We always start at the 270, yes its basically soup, salad and sandwich which makes for a light lunch to start the day. Our go to is the famous Kummel Weck. There is also a coffee bar there and a regular bar in the 270, and if she is docked nose in, a great view of the Manhattan skyline while dining.
  12. As soon as you get on board go to the main dining room and ask the head waiter to show you your table, and then ask them your questions. There is a good chance they will work with you to adjust if necessary, especially if its early on day 1.
  13. Agree with Matt, been on 6 post COVID, and no cards yet, but we keep looking for them...
  14. I have used the search engine on Vacationstogo.com to filter out and show only those sailing that offer the specific discount I'm searching for. The site clearly shows the price with and with out discount which is nice, because as mentioned, the discount varies in amount, if and when its applied. The tool also can do the same for Interco, state resident, and EMT/EMS rates. I can only recommend the search engine itself, not the agency, I use MEI for the booking travel
  15. I see the notice is dated 07-OCT-22; we were there on Explorer on 13-OCT-22 NO issues at all. Had a great time.
  16. This thread is old, FuFu drinks are now 14; so I would assume DOTD is now 11 (was 10 prior to the increase)
  17. As you have read so far, the reoccurring theme is you can't do it all, don't over plan, stay flexible. Avoid FOMO, it is impossible to do it all. The steps at the caves in Bermuda are not that bad, may be an issue for some elderly, or limited mobility folks. From what I remember they don't allow strollers. As long as your little one can navigate the stairs at home on their own with no issue, it shouldn't be a problem. There is a pay to enter beach right at the port, or for a more space, and to enjoy the pink sand, a short taxi ride is needed. #3 from Traveling Mike also important; this could be key for developing an addiction to cruising. ENJOY
  18. We brought four on our B2B last month in Miami, fully expecting them to pull two aside and providing the last night as mentioned. The wife carried two, as did I. BUT, no one said anything to us through security, or at check in, and we ended up with all four in hand on day #1
  19. RE: #2. option; If you are doing a "RoyalUp"; you will have no choice as to what side it is on. That being said, personally I would save the money and use it for an excursion. You will want to be up high on the main deck as much as possible while in AK
  20. So, there we are on the Explorer the last two weeks with me thinking the Schooner bar had mistakenly not collected the European drink menu, why else would it say $14 per drink, she must have sailed in the UK recently with out me realizing it. Boy am I out of touch.
  21. Was just in Jamaica last week. I'm sure many more options will show as you get closer to your sail date. We decided on a simple beach day excursion as our time was limited by an early departure.
  22. Just there last week, the fenced in port area is quite large, with a good variety of shopping and drinking choice. You will have no problem finding your Red Stripe in the port area. We found the prices to be higher here than the other ports we have been in. Some shops were asking $10 for a magnet, so look around before you buy. Also, we took a RCCL tour to Tropical Bliss Beach, so don't know much about the town itself.
  23. same results for me, seems they are enforcing the "with-in the next 12 months" and "new Bookings only" T&Cs. Also as others have said, you must deal with the casino desk team, not the regular customer service.
  24. In Aug you will have many extended families for sure, as Matt said, when school is in session its a slightly different make up. But I will add, with more and more home schooling taking place across the country, even during the In-school dates, we've been seeing a steady increase in # of kids on board over the past few years.
