  1. I guess that means less t-shirts and booze.
  2. Uber/Lyft is probably the best option. Ground transfers are usually per person, but Uber/Lyft remains the same price regardless of how many people there are.
  3. Honestly, if you go on Independence, you're going to regret not choosing the extra day while disembarking the ship .
  4. I was scrolling through Instagram and they were there. I can't seem to find the original post anymore.
  5. Something interesting is that there isn't an art installation in the Solarium unlike Symphony. I'm not sure if they just didn't build it yet, or if they decided to remove it altogether. I find it funny that the art installation on Symphony was called "Big Wonder", but it's not on Wonder.
  6. Odyssey does have a sun deck, but it's not nearly the same as the Oasis Class ships. It's much smaller, and isn't really private. It's pretty much a sectioned off area of the pool deck with fancier chairs. It's located where the indoor pool used to be on other Quantum Class ships. (under the north star arm)
  7. I think it's "climate controlled" rather than air conditioned. Since it's fully covered, I'm guessing they will make sure it's not too hot, but not try to make it cold.
  8. I found some new photos of Wonder of the Seas. The new windjammer setup is pretty cool, as well as what seems to be the costal kitchen area on top. I'm also really liking the new fully covered solarium design. Central Park is coming along nicely.
  9. Try checking on cruisedeckplans to see if there is a photo or video of your room. The site is basically a library of user-submitted photos/videos of cruise ship rooms. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/Independence-of-the-Seas
  10. Do you know if people who are getting tested for re-entry into their country are allowed off before getting test results, or does everyone who gets tested need to stay onboard until they get their test results back?
  11. Don't know if I'm late, but Captain Kate posted a video on TikTok revealing that Captain Rob Hempstead, who is the Captain of Symphony, will be the Captain of Wonder of the Seas. Also, there's a little sneak peek of the Solarium in that video:
  12. I remember one of my old booking receipts had the terminal on it, but I can't seem to find that on the new receipts/cruise contract. However, I believe Royal uses terminals A and J in Miami, so I think Jewel will be at terminal J.
  13. I'm planning on getting the refreshment package, but how does the 18% gratuity work? Also, how does the refreshment package work on CocoCay? I've heard some people say they pour sodas out of bottles, but are there also non-alcoholic beverages included there too?
  14. Since it's a 72 hour rule rather than a "how many days" rule, do you know if the 72 hours is counted when the test is administered, or when you receive your results?
  15. With the border reopening being announced recently, I have a two questions: 1. I know Royal provides testing for kids and those who need one for re-entry. What day is this administered on a 7 night cruise? The Canadian gov needs it to be within 72 hours. 2. Is the test onboard a PCR or Rapid test? The Canadian gov needs it to be a PCR.
  16. Interesting, I guess they're doing every other only if there is a very small number of people.
  17. I'm sorry, but after this pandemic ends, I never want to hear the phrase FCC ever again.
  18. I remember hearing a while ago from somewhere/someone that they were booking every other room and switching them on the next sailing. Is this still being done?
  19. I don't recall a godmother being named for Odyssey of the Seas. Aren't godmothers usually announced before the inaugural cruise?
  20. I was wondering this too. What if I wanted to do a price check, but let's say all the balconies were sold out?
