CruizIan got a reaction from Orchids in Lost & Found after Debarkation
So I recently got off Mariner of the Seas on Nov 30th and was about 3 hours into the drive home when I realized that I did not have my wallet on me. While cruising I always leave my wallet in the safe and only take the cash or credit cards that I need onshore and my passport. So on debarkation morning wearing athletic shorts it fell out of my pocket in the chair in the main dining room. This was the first time I had been separated from my wallet in at least 15 years and so I was thoroughly panicked. My wife did a quick search for a Royal Caribbean lost and found and there is an email process that you go through and give them all of the details about the item and the ship and so forth.
Being the pessimist that I am I thought it was a fools errand but what the heck.
Thankfully for Mobile Apps and being able to turn off all of my cards immediately, and that I jokingly had given my Wife all of the cash from my casino trips telling her that she would get it from me one way or another so might as well hand it over. I was only really out the actual wallet.
2 Days post cruise and I received an email last night from Royal that the wallet has been found and it will be returned to me once the ship returns to port and they are able to process it, all I had to do was pay for shipping.
So if you ever forget/lose something this might be worth a try.

Yeah I would return this item directly to Royal. The person who lost it is going to reach out to Royal Caribbean and would have a very slim chance of ever seeing this post. Meanwhile if you turn it in and site the ship and room number that you were it they could most likely get it returned to the owner very easily. I would not have left the ship with it.

Cruising is a personal decision. I respect everyone else’s opinions and choices. I have been teaching for 32 years and have 300 hundred sick days. I value my downtime and love cruising with my grandkids. Now I cruise through their eyes.

Not necessarily cruise-specific, but I seem to notice it more on cruises:  People who stand right in front of the elevator and move in as soon as it opens instead of waiting for people already in the elevator to get off.

Lack of basic elevator etiquette - letting others out before rushing in, moving to the side or back of the car to let someone else in, and letting those who actually need it get on first. All that seems to go out the window for quite a few people as soon as they set foot in the cruise terminal.

Plenty of soon to turn Diamond members would have issue with this.
"After all this cruising they pulled the carpet out from under us".
"All this cruising with the promise of a Diamond lounge and they got rid of it!  I'm done being loyal"
The bulk of the CAS members exist below Diamond.

Thank you for the in depth explanation! I am not familiar with the use of those cruises.  I do have a bit of a time to get there but I was planning out my cruises and thought it read the cruise I was on would be my free cruise.  I didn’t want that being a casino comp!

On the cruise that you cross the 700 threshold the loyalty ambassador will submit the paperwork to have your Pinnacle welcome kit started in motion.  While the stratum crystal block and name badges can take 3 to 6 months to reach you (or more these days) the free cruise certificate is typically ready very soon after the 700 cruise.  Within a few weeks after the 700 cruise the free cruise certificate will be on file and you can use it before physically receiving it.
The free cruise certificate is an actual certificate in the welcome package but it is essentially an FCC with special conditions applied that will be attached to your CAS profile so a week or two after your "700" cruise should be able to call in and tell the CAS person you are Pinnacle and want to use your free cruise certificate.  They'll transfer you to resolutions who can book your free cruise.
For example I boarded Anthem with 667 points.  I was solo in a JS on an 11 night cruise.  As a solo in a JS I earned 3 points per night so on an 11 night cruise that was 33 points.  667 + 33 = 700 exactly.  Since I reached 700 on this cruise this was my Pinnacle "recognition" cruise.   While the full Pinnacle benefits would not be realized until my next cruise this is the cruise where I was called on stage during the top tier event, had a picture taken with the HD and Captain and where the loyalty ambassador sat down with me to walk me through the paperwork that he would submit after the cruise that eventually resulted in my Pinnacle kit arriving at my home.
I didn't get free internet, full access to Coastal Kitchen or any other Pinnacle benefits since I was still Diamond Plus for all of this "700" cruise.  Those Pinnacle benefits would only kick in on the next cruise.  Since I was in a JS I had dinner privileges in CK like all JS suite guests do.  As a courtesy the loyalty ambassador invited me to the suite & Pinnacle party on the winchpad (no "helipad" on Quantum class) but other than that I was not Pinnacle on my "700" cruise.  This can vary as some loyalty ambassadors will extend some or all Pinnacle benefits to newly recognized Pinnacle members at their discretion.
In my case my next cruise was roughly two weeks later.  For that cruise I boarded the ship as a Pinnacle with full benefits.  Nothing was done on that cruise in terms of being announced at the top tier or picture taken, I was already a Pinnacle so it was just a regular Pinnacle cruise, the first of many that would follow as a Pinnacle member.

Definitely a great location. You will not be able to hear anything from the elevators. There is a stairwell between you and the elevators.

This past Thanksgiving on Wonder was the first cruise in 10 cruises that we actually changed time zones when we went to St. Kitts. I have never in the past had any cruise ship have us change time zones in the past. So your mileage will certainly vary by what ship you are on.

I give my MEI TA my parameters (length, general destination and date range) and she gives me options.  I also give her feedback after a cruise so she learns what we do/don’t like which helps her to tailor her recommendations.

You can just call and tell them.  You won't need the note as long as she's going to get the Refreshment Package.  They'll do that no problem.
    Congrats @CruizIan!

My wife and I are boarding a cruise this coming Sunday and she is pregnant. We are also Diamond members so she had no need to get the Royal Refreshment package. They allowed me to get a DBP and her to get nothing I just had to email the note from her Doctor and the call took probably like 40 minutes on the phone. It was an Actual note from the Doctor so not sure what you have but I hope that helps.

Just converted some points to onboard credit maybe last week and it showed up today in my cruise planner so I would say it was under 2 weeks.

We walked away from our first cruise in 2008 saying we'd never cruise again!  Kid was 2 and does anyone recall--was Adventure Ocean not a thing back then?!  We were on Freedom of the Seas and I recall having a conference room set up with some toys for parents to take their kids and stay with them to play--no drop off that I remember or that we utilized; the trip was exhausting!!!!!  I hated not having a Diet Coke with meals b/c we refused to pay for additional drinks out of principle (Stupid, I know, we only made ourselves suffer!!).
Flash forward to 2019 and kids were older at that point and we went on Symphony and had just the best time and went on Mariner during Summer 2022 and had an equally pleasant time.  Now, cruising is the only vacation our kids will agree to do and we have Wonder scheduled for Summer 2023.  Unfortunately, kids won't go to Teen Club, that's my only complaint.  Oh, and with age comes wisdom, and we now purchase the Deluxe Beverage package!!!

I am with the 2 answers. I love being close to elevators/stairwell. From 6244 you can quickly pop down the stairs to the promenade with ease no need for the elevator!

So they will be able to do everything themselves when they download the app because they would be pulling the reservation in based on their name and their DOB and the reservation number. It doesn't ask for the email at all. If they already have a C&A number they can then add their C&A number to the reservation during check in or even I believe online when they are making cruise planner purchases.

Don't book any more until you know if cruising works for you.
Too much research ahead of time can lead to unrealistic expectations that can be hard to achieve in real life.  Just go and see if it's your thing without spending endless time over analyzing and researching endlessly.    Too many you-tubers and bloggers over hype the experience and often they don't cover the mundane stuff like packed elevators or waiting in queues to board and for entertainment or dining.
Cruising isn't for everyone and there is nothing wrong with that.   You've booked one, now see for yourself if it floats your boat (ship).

I am pretty sure that you can just use your own email for the booking. They are not going to verify that it is his email. I am sure there are folks that book with no email as well. I book for my in-laws through my travel agent for all of their cruises and don't think that they ever get any notices. I just get sent copies of everything in one email.
