  1. yeah ours ( feb 2022 )is up $1900 for the family
  2. we always sail in an Accessible cabin , BUT we are bring the 2 oldest grands this cruise so opted for a suite , there is plenty of room to navigate around room but I'm stressing about threshold to balcony and tub/shower. where there's a will there is a way ? but if you have a HC and need the lack of lips and edges I WOULD NOT royal up.
  3. Question wasn't if " you can get away with it " the question was is it legal , as a Below the knee amputee do I use it often YES , will I take it on my cruise, NO
  4. on a side note , 2bedroom grands seem to sell out quick , we're on Rhapsody 2/23 and we booked a year out , there are only 4 and they have been booked forever
  5. we were all the way up front on Freedom of the seas , on deck 12 , cabin was amazing , view was amazing , first time in my life I was sea sick , and I grew up on a island 30 miles out to sea, been on the water all my life , I didn't even know what it was until I was hanging over the rail ? I got some meds from service desk , crackers from the buffet , and wrist bands from the shop , was fine the rest of the trip. So if you know going in that it's an issue , be prepared and enjoy the bigger cabin and all the perks that come with a suite !
  6. Totally agree ,it's a vacation not a competition , relax , besides if there are 2 excursions you REALLY REALLY want to do , you can always take another cruise ?
  7. extras , dining , drinks excursions have always been separate unless they are " bundled " into your original cruise agreement . but I space mine out over time , excursions this month , dinning next month , there are 4 of us on our next cruise and it seems all the " extras " are going to cost more then the cruise Haha
  8. we were looking at a Grand 2 bedroom on the radiance of the sea , deck 7 above restaurant or bar , or deck under the the pool & sun deck , we chose deck seven above Chops , hopeful there aren't to many late load chewers ?

  10. the way I understand it is , Junior suites come with very few /no perks ( maybe suite line at embarkation ?? ) , where the grand does come with perks, I know there is a great chart out there somewhere but I can't seem to find it right now ? https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/10/03/10-things-know-about-sky-class-suites-royal-caribbean
  11. curious to know the answer too , yes I know I can call RCI ( and I will before we go , cruise isn't till 2/22. ) we were on the FOTS a couple of years ago and the room was " WC/accessible ", roll in shower but took them 2 days to find a shower chair
  12. it was a 11 day Southern ABC , crossing the sea of Cortez , just me ? , But what an amazing color blue ? , walking by the blast furnace at work yesterday I could ALMOST close my eyes and pretend I was on deck with a warm breeze off the ocean. ? almost. we're not booked again until 02/22 but it's a 2BR suite with our 2 oldest Grands , it will be their first cruise so we're all excited
  13. we had one on the freedom a couple of years ago , LOVED IT !!!!! spent a lot of time in the window , just know if you have lights on at night you MUST keep curtains pulled , it interferes with the bridge. Freedom's are deck 12 , we had a lot of movement open ocean , I was raised on an island 30 miles out to sea , have spent a LOTS of time on boats big and small and it was the first time I have ever been sea sick ? but I put on a couple for wrist bands , took a couple of pills and it was fine ?
