I am super excited about all of the Black Friday savings for my two upcoming sailings. I saved a bit on my Dec cruise on Harmony (cheaper Voom, soda package, water package and waterpark). But I made out like a BANDIT on my June Ovation sailing. I save about 200 after all the markdowns, and treated the family to the UDP with the savings and some onboard credit I had on that sailing.

Yes, the water on the ships is Reverse Osmosis filtered.

I've personally used Curative about five times for myself and my son (under 12). Our local site does PCR testing and they are always easy to schedule, and the testing is typically back quickly.

RCI IT is notoriously wishy washy. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just bring all your stuff to check in.

They are not allowing unvaccinated persons. May be best to cancel and have a ship day.

I'm already booked for Ovation on Jun. 10, 2022. Maybe I will be on the "President's Cruise". Interesting to speculate on.

Port changes are always possible on any cruise. Things may change due to weather, volcanoes erupting, ports no longer taking unvaccinated passengers, and so many other reasons. Cruising is not for the inflexible. If you are heartbroken over the change, cancel your trip. Otherwise, enjoy going somewhere you have never been. I personally love Costa Maya and there are some fabulous beaches there.

I checked in last week (at 45 days). Final payment for our cruise is 30 days out (Nov. 19). So yes, you can check in before final payment.

Just make sure you have the following with you when you get to the cruise port: 1. Your negative covid test results from at most 2 days before sail date. 2. Your vaccination card with the last vaccination date 14 days before sail date 3. Your passport OR photo ID and birth certificate 4. Your set sail pass Other than that they can and will take your photo at the cruise port.

So we have RO water in our kitchen, and in our refrigerator. Now I'm wondering if I should start washing my hair in the kitchen sink! hmmmm

Second price drop on my Christmas week Harmony sailing. Saved $600 the second drop. Can't remember how much I saved the first price drop, would have to dig around and look it up. So excited...only 39 days until our cruise!

@CrimsonCruiser I feel the same way about the tinny taste. I will be forever grateful that our upcoming Harmony cruise has the Evian bottled water package and not the horrid tin cans of water. If that was my only choice I'd just drink the RO water and bring a refillable bottle.

The Diamond drinks are very, very tempting. I say go for it. The "ultimate" sacrifice.

Another, seemingly less popular option, is that the one person who is not vaccinated could go down to CVS or Walgreens and get one J&J shot in the arm 14 days before the cruise departs. Everyone gets to cruise and your father's vacation is great.

For safety reasons, you must be able to swim to Scuba dive. No excuses.

I was hooked from my first cruise, and never wanted to take anything less than 7 days! I have taken a weekend cruise since then. I am just so sad to leave the relaxation of the ship when it's a short cruise. Enjoy!
