The more I think about it the more I am annoyed with "the news we've all been waiting for" click-bait.  Only speaking my own thoughts here, but wth was she thinking?  After the past year how in the world is Navigator going to LA the news we have been waiting for?  I am actually more than annoyed.  I know in the grand scheme of things that has gone on with covid, cruise vacations being cancelled for so long is not the worst that has happened.

But, knowing you have a consumer base wanting to know when we will potentially get back to sailing this was a really bad idea.  Not to mention the crew members who want to get back to work.  I'm frustrated about all of it.

    Sorry for the rant/venting.

Watching President Biden's address to the nation gave me hope cruising would resume in July.  But after listening to  Dr. Rachel Walensky (CDC director) talk about the US may need to look at another lock down again thanks to people traveling for spring break it is making it hard to hold on to the hope cruising will resume any time soon.  I'm a naturally optimistic and hopeful individual but every time I listen to this new CDC director I get this gut feeling that she is going to stand in the way of the resumption of cruising in this country as long as she possibly can and no one in Washington D.C. is going to lift a finger to help the cruise industry out.

Uncle Joe needs to ? understand..We've been having cookouts for the past year and this 4th of July is no different..?

As someone who was in the stadium for the game (volunteering but not a paying guest) I was curious to see what the impact would be, last I saw was a week or two ago and they had traced 57 infections back to the game and ALL affiliated events.

My wife and I will be in Palm Harbor next month..?. We've both had our 2nd shots,  so we're good to go.

CDC can't lay a glove on us.

My reaction was the opposite, hearing the President suggesting that if we buckle down and follow all the rules, etc. we might get to a place four months from now that Florida got to almost a year ago sounded so pathetic.

Given that the only time the CDC has shown any interest in even thinking about moving cruising forward is when the occupant of the White House applies pressure, I don't see cruising starting anytime soon.

I'm desperately hoping but don't see it.

Instead of calling it a "Cruise ", let's call it a "Riot"(aka peaceful protest).

Then the CDC will say nothing and look the other way. ?

The Biden Administration implied the Super Bowl was a SUPER SPREADER event,  among other events. ?...Never Happened.

So I personally would say to the CDC  "COME ON MAN?" .

No one knows what steps they will take to distance guests in CK in 2021.  Once Oasis class cruising restarts we will begin to see what impact it has on suite amenities.

In the past a JS guest on an Oasis class ship hasn't always been guaranteed reservations for the whole cruise on boarding day but this varies by ship.  In some cases JS guests could only make reservation on a day to day basis and on a space available basis.

Visit CK upon boarding and inquire to see how it will work for your cruise.

    Thank You

Let me try again... no, not normally. Unless you're all in a JS or above, in which case the Diamond status doesn't matter.

My wife and I have a Jr.Suite on Allure this December.   I was told, once I board the ship to go directly to CK and book our dining times for the Cruise.  We I be able to book all 6 nights?

While I am trying to remain hopeful the May cancellations while "maybe" expected, still are very depressing. I am doing everything possible to stay optimistic. My next cruise is on the Symphony on Oct 16. I figure, just for fun obviously, what is your guess for the first RC sailing?? List your best guess with Month and date! Will it be sometime in 2021? 2022??

My guess? 1st week in September 2021.

    Who's next!!!! ??

    I'm guessing July 1.

My Cruises ? on Allure, is this December.

I'm not sure pegging Celebrity as targeting an older crowd is completely accurate at least in contrast to Holland America.

Royal targets family and multigenerational cruisers.  Celebrity targets a more upscale audience who isn't looking for zip lines and ice skating rinks.  There will be some children but not nearly as many as Royal.  Cruisers without children, cruisers who want a slightly more refined experience without spending true luxury rates.  There are plenty of 30's type working professional cruisers who just want something a little more upscale over the family oriented experience.

Small things like not having to check out towels in your name because there is less chance guests will take them home.  Less likely a guy in a muscle shirt will crash the MDR at dinner sort of thing.

There may be a slightly older crowd but more so because that is the demographic more likely looking to spend a little bit more for an elevated upscale experience.  However it isn't a silver hair cruise experience.
