  1. Order a drink at the Bionic Bar (I have done it, but I no longer drink hard liquor, plus they aren't good drinks anyway, real people make better and more creative ones!). Willingly book an inside or oceanview stateroom Wait in line at Starbucks
  2. It's never a bother to check prices for someone! Well, it's rarely a bother ? It's part of the service, yes, and it generally does not take too long. Besides that, you never know if you'll book it if you don't get pricing, so it's step one for both of us!
  3. The main difference is, indeed, price. There are some things that I like about Royal Caribbean better, some things I like about Disney better. I am a Disney fan through and through, but Royal Caribbean has some amazing ships, and because they are a bigger cruise line, can take you to other destinations around the world. From the travel agent side, Disney handled the pandemic MUCH better in terms of refunds, FCCs, hold times. I don't dread calling DCL for questions, I dread calling Royal Caribbean. But in terms of simply cruising, you'll find a lot more similar than different.
  4. 60 days, and not paid in full for Royal Caribbean reservations.
  5. The benefit to booking with a travel agent is that you have an advocate in your corner to help you plan your trip. This means: - You have someone to continue to look for and apply discounts should any be released (which is very often with RCI), so that you do not have to spend time doing the same, or potentially missing a better offer. - You have someone to help you navigate the Cruise Planner program. - You have someone to help you make your dining reservations if you'd like. - You have an expert in all things cruising and travel to help you plan the best vacation you can. - You have someone you can come to directly to ask questions to instead of spending time looking around on the internet for your answers. - You have someone to turn to should something go wrong while you are traveling. And the best part is, we provide all of this for FREE to you. You get our concierge level service at no extra charge. The difference when you book with me is the difference between information and expertise. Anyone can look up information on the internet. When booking your trip with me you know you have an expert in your corner that can help tailor your trip to your desires and make sure you see everything you want to do!
  6. You can do a neighborhood gty (category XN) or an oceanview balcony gty (category XB). The XN can be either Central Park or Boardwalk, up to the room assigners. The XB will be oceanview, but might be obstructed or a great room.
  7. Henceforth a group of ships shall be called a Gang.
  8. @Baked Alaska Did you want me to book that one for you? ? ? ?
  9. Yes, as @Matt said, fill out a form or reach out to one of us directly. I don't know who your last agent was with MEI but if you fill out the form then the admin team will look you up and try and pair you with someone who is similar in terms of how we work.
  10. Either way you do it will be great! I am almost positive we can still add in the land tour @Jill but even if you decide not to go that route I can help with the other stuff before.
  11. What they have done before is cancel the cruise altogether and give you options. One of those has been a L&S, one is a different ship. I am also booked on Allure in September and I have no idea if it will sail.
  12. We don't know. The announcement today seems like it's for Alaska only. They might require it for anyone eligible for vaccines, but not for kids under 12 who are not eligible. They might not. It's still a wait and see kind of thing.
  13. I've never been there! I've been to Labadee a few times but never CocoCay. But I will go in September if we're allowed to sail.
  14. Yes, this is a newer thing, but yes.
  15. Speaking as a TA here- you own the FCCs, not the TA. However, sometimes Royal Caribbean will work with you, sometimes they won't. The FCC issue affects MANY cruisers unfortunately. Keep asking, your TA should keep asking. It's a very big pain, I'm not going to lie. Most of us have lists that we call in for weekly. Royal will (hopefully) get things figured out eventually. It's frustrating all around.
  16. This is all true and what we've been saying for months. It's BEYOND frustrating.
  17. Most at this point are making final, but not all. I don't have a percentage.
  18. Whether you carry your own bags off or put them outside your stateroom, a porter can be extremely helpful. They can help locate your bags in the terminal as well as get through security, load them into your car. Just tip them well, at least $2 a bag IMO. They work for tips and they work hard!
  19. It's a job. It's hard work. Don't get me wrong, there are fun things about it! But especially this year it's been incredibly difficult. Not all will survive. I still have days where I wonder if it's worth it and how long I can keep it up. Here's to better days ahead!
  20. I LOVE the Celebrity Edge, and I'm sure I will love Apex as well since they are so similar. It's just a unique ship, one you don't really understand until you experience it. All staterooms include WiFi, gratuities, and a beverage package, so the price can be reasonable when you compare it to Royal Caribbean. Celebrity is a little more elevated.
