Potentially for anyone wanting to declare it.

I just got off the Allure 2 weeks ago and there was no testing on returning home.

I find the best way to figure out the percentages regarding the drink package is to just keep drinking. Then I don’t care about the cerpentages.🥴

OK looking for input on this.   What you do When we booked the cruise we chose "We pick your room", We being RCL,  because it was around $400 cheaper. We have a guaranteed ocean view balcony.  The prices have changed and the difference is now only $141 for fwd or aft, and $170 for mid ship.  I have never let them choose the room and am not sure, but I do know that on the Allure OTS there are no obstructed ocean view balconies so there is that.

To piggyback on this great advice.  If you think it’s a good price, buy it.  If you see it cheaper just cancel and rebuy at the cheaper price.   We book some of our cruises a year or longer out and have canceled and rebought many times.  The key is to constantly check your planner before and after you purchase. 

CK is nice,  much higher waitstaff to guess ratio so better service and less noise as there are less people in the dining room.   Food is good, but its MDR with flair (and a few extra unique offerings).   So don't feel bad if you short the CK for a specialty dining room which also provides a higher waitstaff to guest ratio and does provide a unique and high quality offerings over the MDR.   Just an opinion.

HOTS has a lot of different food options, some of them are free. Another option is to get a 3 night dining plan and try to get reservations for CK the other nights. I don't know when you are sailing but with reduced capacity, you might have a better chance of dining in CK often-ish.

Like Wordell1 said, even without Covid restrictions it was often hard for Junior Suites to get a dinner reservation in CK …… I’d keep the UDP if I were you and even with that I’d make all my specialty dining reservations as soon as you board at the first open specialty restaurant you can find or you may not even get dining times there that you want.  Any open specialty restaurant can make all your reservations for the entire week at all the restaurants.

Sometimes clients will contact me before I have had a chance to check the sale or they happen to spot a lower price. I try to be proactive, but sometimes it happens that clients are on top of it! That's ok, and sometimes they are correct, sometimes they are not (most of the time it happens that they forgot they booked refundable or added gratuities on).
But checking prices is part of the service we provide. Yep, it's a huge pain for those of us who book a lot of Royal Caribbean. But it's worth it if you can save some money!

You get the points associated with your original booking.  So if you upgrade from a balcony to a suite, you would get the double points associated with the balcony (2 per night).  If you upgrade from a room that already has double points (JS or higher) then you would get 2X2 or 4 points per night.

@PaulRCI would venture to guess that at the moment choice reservations will be filling up fast. So the difficulty would be higher. As it stands the Windjammer is not open for dinner due to reduce capacity. The MDR is split to accommodate the mix of (un)Vax pax. Plus the people who are currently cruising are most likely seasoned vets and are excited to be back cruising. Also many of those cruisers have lots of OBC and/or saved funds from cancelled vacations. This means that specialty dining is on and popping.
