Me too!  Just turned 41 on March 1st, got vaccinated this past week and look forward to booking ODYSSEY OF THE SEAS soon for Nov or Dec out of Port Everglades! ?
 

My wife & I have had both shots - we have no problem wearing a mask.

Watched Governor Ron DeSantis with Dept. of Transportation Secretary and the Florida Attorney General with reps from RCCL, NCL, MSC, Disney and Carnival and it was mentioned that the no sail order is in effect until the end of October 2021.  Here is my proof:  https://www.portcanaveral.com/About/Recent-News/Governor-Ron-DeSantis-Highlights-Florida's-Vital-C      It was stated in the video that the CDC is in over-reach, and I said this on this blog months ago and got slammed for saying it, but here we are still not cruising because of the CDC.

From:  Adventure of the Seas | Cruise Ships | Royal Caribbean Cruises -- it states (at the time of this post) that vaccines are mandatory.  It doesn't say anything about mask wearing, but last I saw they were making it mandatory.  I said this months ago that I expect them to pull their ships out of US ports and put them in other ports due to the over-reach of the CDC.  By the way, it is unlawful for an employer to mandate a vaccine while the vaccine is under an EUA.  https://www.statnews.com/2021/02/23/federal-law-prohibits-employers-and-others-from-requiring-vaccination-with-a-covid-19-vaccine-distributed-under-an-eua/    I personally will not sail where there unlawful and unhealthy mandates.

Have boat shuttles from US ports to the Bahamas and then board the cruise there.  Most of the lines have their own islands anyhow.  This is my personal idea.  That way people do not have to fly out of the country.  And it would be just a short trip over anyhow.  Coming back though would be the challenge.  The CDC IMO is doing everything they can to destroy the cruise industry, of which they know nothing about, obviously.

Intriguing idea posed by Tony, the La Lido Loca guy...apparently, the mayor of Cozumel made a proposal to MSC to make the island an embarkation port. If Royal were to find a way to agree to participate, I would be into it just to get out from under the clutches of the cdc. The questions are how would ships be provisioned from there and what hoops will exist to get back to the US. I would do a couple nights before and after a cruise is Coz if this option materializes. Thoughts?

agreed, since we have to fly in and adding a hotel stay, its too impractical  for us for a short cruise. The airfare if higher than the cruise. The restrictions and reservations for pool time, etc. This isn't our cup of tea 

Masks are too much.  Reserving pool time, no freedom in ports and the loss of everything that made cruising fun is too much. This would not be a vacation.  How would you meet people, make new friends and get to know the crew?  Deck parties?  Relaxing and doing whatever feels right at the moment whether it is lounging on the deck or jumping in the pool are all part of the fun of a cruise.  Aside from being at sea, what does the type of cruising they are talking about benefit the passenger?  We have future cruise credits and I hope the extend them until they can offer normal cruise experiences.  I would not go on one with endless restrictions. 

Cruising is expensive, I simply cannot justify the expense with any restrictions. We will not cruise again until there are no restrictions and that may be a long time if ever... as much as it pains me to say that. 
 

We wont be cruising if that's required. It will be back to land vacations for us if that happens. I am sure for the first little while they may require masks but am hoping that it wont be a permanent requirement.

Been wearing one 10 hrs a day at work for almost a year now, don't even notice it anymore. I've literally forked food into during lunch because I forgot it was on.

I for one see no fun in being on a cruise and having to wear a mask ?...even if it were for just 50% of the time!!  So my answer to your question is no cruising for me until masks are no longer necessary accessories.  For right now...limitations and restrictions would absolutely kill the fun of a leisurely cruise and I will refuse to take part!  Perhaps my April 2022 cruise will turn into yet another "No Go" ?!   Only time will tell...

I know enough about this top to decline on wearing a mask, or getting a vax or getting traced while on board.  Cruising is the most social vacation there is.  With these mandates in place, I will not cruise until all 3 mentioned are removed.

More relevant - will people schedule cruises while a mask is required of them.
My wife - yes.
Me - not a chance.

I've got two cruises booked (rebooked from previous cruises). One on May 2nd, 2021 on the Liberty of the Seas and one in July 2021 on a Celebrity ship. Neither are paid off. Normally, I pay my cruises off as early as possible. Now, I don't want to pay them off until the last possible minute. The May 2nd cruise has phenomenal perks due to being canceled (by RCL) and rescheduled twice. I thought the May 2nd cruise would be safe but now it's beginning to look there's a real possibility they won't be sailing by then. I am really tired of rebooking but I hate to lose those perks. I love cruising but I'm just not sure it's ever going to come back.
