  1. Yes! Try the chicken! I really think I remember it being pretty decent! Tell me I’m not crazy!
  2. OMG they need this awesome being on every ship and sailing! Will be interested in finding out just how much his humor laden threat actually works!
  3. To those wondering about Fish ‘N Ships…when I was on Indy in November we checked it out a few times. I didn’t try the fish but really liked the chicken fingers. Fries were so-so. If I remember correctly they even had a honey mustard dipping sauce for the chicken.
  4. Yay…something to look forward to! Definitely does make a difference
  5. Not sure if you are one to get off the ship or not but how is the atmosphere around the port? Are people getting off and walking around Bay St? Curious because there will be 14 of us walking from the port to Margaritaville next month. I’m asking this more for my daughter than for myself. I tend to be very low on the worry scale…my daughter (perhaps cuz she is such an awesome Mommy) is much higher on that scale!
  6. I’m with you…I had vowed to never again step off the ship while in Nassau. Also, the original itinerary for this 8 night cruise was only 2 stops…CocoCay and Labadee! Ha…I thought I was getting away with it easy and cheaply! We had already decided Port Canaveral would be a stay on ship day. However, this upcoming cruise includes 3 sets of parents (each of them have a son who is ‘besties’ with my younger grandson) who seem to be unable to “stay put” so to speak. They are planning some crazy fun activities for all of us! Also…it made no sense to stay on the ship for 7 of the 8 days…hence…finding something to do in Nassau! We shall see!
  7. We ended up booking Margaritaville. I look forward letting you know my thoughts about this excursion.
  8. Hello to Nassau fans! After losing our Labadee stop and having Nassau added, our group of 8 adults and 6 kiddos is looking for a fun adventure to help ease our disappointment. So…which should we choose (of course not even sure if we will have these options yet as our cruise planner is still a bit messed up)? I’m leaning towards Margaritaville since it’s a short walking distance from the ship but would we get more out of the Baha Mar experience? Thanks for any responses, opinions, recommendations!
  9. Let me know how you make out! Our sushi class was also discounted so would be interested to know if they will honor the price! Good luck!
  10. Typically if there is 3 people for a room you are searching and there are no 3 person rooms (which are far and few anyway) the system will show you rooms for 4 as your choice.
  11. So I’m just wondering what it is you are expecting to get for your discomfort? I mean, I feel badly about your experience but as @wordell1 noted…mattress comfort is subjective. Royal’s mattresses have been known to be good…bad…soft…hard…comfortable…uncomfortable. I would concentrate on all the great aspects from your cruise and move on from there.
  12. Your onboard reservations will not automatically be moved. I believe only the CocoCay and Orlando reservations were being moved. We have similar issue…booked sushi making class on Day 5 and now need it changed and it is more money! You can cancel and rebook your lunch reservation rather than calling or waiting.
  13. Just saw another comment on CC and that person got 10am boarding! Strange that within a very short span 10a/10:30a/11a all came and went! Is this typical? No need to answer…I’m not really asking . Just wondering out loud! I’m just looking forward to walking onto this ship in less than 45 days!
  14. You can look on cruisedeckplans.com to check for pictures or videos of rooms on any cruise ship. Looks like 10174 is more forward, port side. It is a connecting room. The bed setup is not near the balcony but close to the bathroom with a sofa near the balcony.
  15. Interesting that someone on CruiseCritic was able to get 10:30am boarding! But I’m happy with 11am and will definitely be at the port on time, if not a few minutes early. Now if Royal would please straighten out the Cruise Planner so we can finalize our onboard plans as well as port plans!
  16. Thanks for the advice you provided for my questions. I’m getting excited to step onto Symphony in just 46 days. Check in is tomorrow so you know who will be awake around Midnight! I truly loved your pictures and descriptions! Glad you had such an enjoyable vacation.
  17. We had 17 people in 7 rooms last July on Oasis. Ages ranged from 10 to 66. See my answers above…
  18. And it makes me excited to hear all about your dining conversations with “handcuff girl “ every night!
