  1. I literally saw two people stop in the middle of a road from a store to the parking lot to talk. Such great advice!
  2. Oh good question because I do not often drink, but I occasionally indulge.
  3. I just had my Royal Up on a 1BR GS change to "Pending" and my JS one is now "Expired"......fingers crossed..........
  4. Hello, We have about 50 full-size candy bars left over from Halloween. Would bringing them for the crew be a good idea (sorry @CHRIS WONG no Rice Krispy treats)? If so, where would I drop them all off at? Thanks!
  5. As far as I know, ours is still stopping there on our 12 Nov Indy cruise. That's kinda interesting to me, seeing as how so many ships around that time have been cancelled.
  6. That's unfortunate because that seems like a great idea for people like me that only occasionally indulge. If I had a 10 drink punch card I would spend more/consume more to use it. Without it, I MIGHT get 1-2 drinks per cruise.
  7. I'm glad to hear it! We are sailing on the Indy in about 2 weeks for our first RCL cruise. Can't wait!!!!
  8. Do you know what cabin you are in? I would see if there are actual pictures/videos of that cabin to be sure
  9. Welcome! Thank you for all you are doing during this time. You probably need this more than any of us! If you look through some of the posts, you will find some advice. A couple of things that may work: - Wait until AFTER mid-January and see what the situation is with the Binax Home Tests. You can order via the RC store. However, they are getting rid of old inventory right now and most if not all are expected to expire by the end of this year. So that may be a wait and see in order to find out what is going to happen after the end of the year. - It looks like most pharmacies are offering COVID tests, but only have a short (48 hour-2 week) time frame in which appointments open for tests. So I would check local pharmacies as you get closer to your cruise and set an appointment Having said all that, I am not in New York, so I am not sure how easy that is going to be in the city. Good luck and enjoy your well-deserved vacation!
  10. You can order just one refreshment package via the website. That's what we do because hubby doesn't drink soda, mocktails, etc.
  11. That is awesome to know! I like coffee that doesn't taste like coffee, so the brand is kinda agnostic for me. BUT...I do like my stars
  12. Since I'm not a HUGE fan of alcohol, I got the refreshment package. This includes "premium coffee". Can anyone tell me what that means, and how it is different from "regular" coffee? Are lattes, cappuccinos, etc included? Thanks!
  13. I feel your pain. We are cruising at the end of March out of Miami. Great price on the cruise, but didn't think about how that is Spring Break season. Plane tickets and hotels are INSANE.
  14. What if you are messaging through the RC app?
  15. I must say, this thread has gone on longer than I expected. It seems like there is a LOT of interest in the RCL toilets. Maybe they need their own blog?
  16. I assume we can do that in airplane mode just like connecting to a plane's wifi in airplane mode is possible. Is that correct?
  17. Hubby and are are NOT planning to get Voom on this trip (we are planning to unplug as much as possible). That beings said, can we still use the app while onboard? What can we do/not do in terms of convenience features via the app? The goal is to keep our phones in airplane mode the whole time, so I am just wondering how that affects what we can do with our app. Thanks!
  18. That's amazing! I look forward to watching the performance even more now, knowing I tangentially "know" someone in it
  19. That's a hard question to answer because it feels like anything is placating. Ask for too much and you may be seen as exaggerating the interaction for personal gain. But, at the same time, they REALLY should be doing something substantial on behalf of you and I am sure others who have had to deal with this. Unfortunately, anything offered doesn't really fix the situation either, so I am at a loss. I guess if were you, I would ask myself "what would it take for me to actually WANT to cruise?" Not being in your situation, I can't even imagine what that would be, but maybe if there is something in particular that would make you want to look forward to your trips (besides the grand suite and run of the boat that is), what would it be? Maybe instead of something for you, it would be something like a substantial donation to an organization focused on LGBTQ+ awareness (kinda like what happened during a racist incident at Starbucks). But I don't know. I hope you find something that allows you to regain your joy and anticipation for your upcoming cruises though.
  20. Welcome! Hubby and I are also on that cruise, so cheers to that! I would check CVS and/or Walgreens pharmacies. It sounds like they are only booking a few days out, so you wouldn't have to worry about availability, and they offer the type of test you would need.
  21. Thanks @twangster. I emailed my TA to see if we will be affected. It seems likely!
  22. I would absolutely go! My hubby...maybe not so much. He tends to get a little seasick from time to time.
  23. How did you find this out? It looks like Nov 5th and Nov 19th have been changed...I'm just hoping to hear something soon for my Nov 12th cruise <fingers crossed>
  24. @twangsterwhen did you get the email for that sailing?
