  1. I noticed the the CP doesn't automatically reprice items in your cart. I have the four basic items that I purchase already in the cart and in the old planner they would automatically reprice but not now.
  2. No changes for any of my cruises, but I'm really only looking for beverages and Internet.
  3. I thought the food was definitely a step up from MDR. The service was terrific, sine we had the same time every night we had the same table and waitstaff who really took care of us. It was the first time that when I ordered a med-rare steak it was perfect. I usually order medium as that is acceptable but it'll often still be med-rare, not needed in the CK. On Ovation we had a table right at the windows. I sat with my back to them to let my wife and son have the views. We saw more whales sitting there than on our excursion. I decided to experiment and try things I'd not had before, I may not have liked everything I tried, but it was always hot and presented beautifully.
  4. JR suite does have access. It's as space is available. I've seen it posted that you can only book it day to day. On Ovation they let me book the entire week, again all at 5:30 and for that time it was never more that half full. On Oasis in Oct 21 our first cruise post "C" when I tried the first nigh the earliest they had was 8:15. That cruise we were trying the MDR early seating for the first time so didn't try the CK again. In hindsight I wish I had.
  5. We had a JR suite on Ovation last June. First thing I did was go to Coastal Kitchen to book dinners. Since we're from the east coast we wanted 5:30 and were able to eat there every night. It was the best dining we've had other than specialty dining. Since JR suites guests are only allowed there for dinner and as space is available, if you are interested get it done right away.
  6. @brdjnr does the online process require you to main in your old passport? Was hoping it didn't and I'd be able to use the old one while the renewal was in progress?
  7. On one of my recent cruises they confiscated my 1 to 3 AC plug. Then they were considering also confiscating my European power adapter that has USB ports but grudgingly let it go. @Atlantix2000 I never even considered whether it was a converter, so just checked, it isn't. Fortunately I always use if for the USB ports to avoid using one of the US AC outlets. Thanks for that hint.
  8. We had our B2B on Voyager switched to Adventure. We were on Voyager for a specific cabin, deck 11 1108, check it out it used to be a JR suite and is now just a balcony. Adventure doesn't have anything similar. We ended up moving our B2B a week earlier and onto Harmony. They waived the $100 fee this would normally have incurred. I'm retired so my time is open, but my son needs to schedule vacations a year in advance, luckily he was able to switch the week.
  9. Thanks @Pooch I checked out the SAS Transportation site, it looks like a great way to do this. Lets us settle into our hotel after flying in without having to hassle with a car.
  10. Interesting, we did the same thing for our May B2B cruise from Miami, flights to FLL were way cheaper. I hadn't even considered a one way rental. We are flying back the day after the cruise, so plan a hotel in Miami for the day before and then a hotel up near FLL for departure.
  11. Glad I saw this. My wife and son have their passports expire Sep 23. The problem is we cruise in Jan, March, May and June. So really don't have a window that will allow them to get renewed. I heard that they are testing out an online renewal process. It might go live early next year. Worst case I'll make sure to bring birth certificates.
  12. I'm not sure I'd like the option of blocking your ability to get a drink until you've done your muster station. We always get the earliest boarding time possible and lately they don't have crew at the muster stations until 12-1. Means I'm on board a couple hours before I can get that starting the vacation drink. There really should be some way to get people to do it, I just don't know what. I know on Oasis our first post COVID cruise Oct 21, with reduced capacity we were an hour late leaving. The captain was calling one couple for that whole time.
  13. Just checked my cruises in the app and am only seeing my Jan cruise, logged and back, still only the one. I had also noticed the beverage packages option earlier. Its a convenient way to spot check the prices, as long as they keep up with the "sales". Waiting for black Friday, might cost me a bunch as I'll be buying for at least four cruises.
  14. We booked this when our Voyager cruise was changed to Adventure. This is our second week of our B2B. I'm actually glad they made the switch as I was on Voyager in October and have discovered that I'm not a fan of this class ship. I've been spoiled by Oasis and Quantum classes.
  15. My son and I booked this when our Voyager cruise got switched to Adventure. We're also on the 27th. So I'm sort of solo
  16. I had what was to date my worst cruise, not bad just had several issues. The ship was Voyager Oct 9th to 16th. This was the smallest ship I've been on, all my other cruises were Oasis or Quantum class. What I loved was, the crew super good job. The entertainment was great. The bars and their staff were also terrific. What I had problems with. Fewer dining options compared to the larger ships. The MDR food was not as good as I've had on other cruises. I like hanging in the solarium but not in the open solarium when it's 50 degrees. We had trouble with our cabin, a loud humming noise that cycled from soft to loud enough to overwhelm my noise machine. It was the cycling of the noise that was bothersome. The the secon day there was a burnt electronics smell that was quite noticeable, enough that it irritated my throat. These I reported as I was concerned that there was a safety issue. I was pleased with how they handled this. The sound was coming from equipment behind the cabin wall between our cabin and the next. They would not be able to address this until the next turnaround day so they could get at it. The smell slowly dissipated over the next few days. They offered to move us to another cabin, even upgrade us to a JR suite, but my wife has mobility issues and requires an accessible cabin which was not available. They ended up giving us some OBC. Even though there was no immediate resolution their attentiveness to the issues was appreciated. My take away was that I've been spoiled by the larger ships with all their options. We were supposed to do a B2B on Voyager next may but because they switched out the ship we decided to do our B2B on Harmony, glad we made the change. My next six cruises, one is on Odyssey but the rest are Oasis class and one on Icon. So my vacation was not ruined but I did learn some of my cruising limitations.
  17. Looks like three of us in a veranda ocean view will be around 6k, we’re spending less for our 15 day transatlantic. We’re going for it anyway.
  18. I’m booking March to be on board for my 70th. Probably expensive but, YOLO.
  19. According to Royals website vaccinated passengers don't need to test. Also no need to fill out ArriveCAN. However I just received an email " Here's your sailing checklist! " and it still lists pre-cruise testing and ArriveCAN are required! I'd love to know if anyone boarding Voyager tomorrow could report what they were required to do? We're cruising on the 9th.
  20. Was just checking the price for Beach Club for my Wonder cruise next March, wow. 268.99 10% off 299.00. I guess I won't be doing this again. Glad we got there twice last year for under 100. I personally wouldn't pay that much. Then again I've been to CoCoCay 4 times and will be there another 4 in the next 9 months.
  21. In Bayonne a couple weeks ago they had signs all over stating that cannabis and CBD products were illegal.
  22. Its really frustrating when you've been in line for 20 minutes, get to the check point and the family of six in from of you start searching through their bags looking for their documents. They should shuffle them to the side and continue processing the line.
  23. Bought 200 shares when it was at 24, plan is to sell 100 in a couple years to finance a really nice 70th birthdays cruise for the wife and I.
  24. Best of luck I agree totally too much stress. I had a similar case with tests getting cancelled last minute so started using EMED. We have one more test cycle for our Canada cruise next month. Oh and then you also have to do ArriveCAN, trying to help several family members through this process.
