  1. I'll give this a try if my electronic form gets rejected again. It was ejected the first time because there was something wrong with the document I sent as proof of ownership. The rejection lists 3 or 4 things that might have been wrong, but doesn't tell you exactly what. This took about a week for the response.
  2. @JeffB Wow Europe right now seems incredibly complex. I'm thinking of a British Isles cruise in 23, really hoping things have settled down by then. My next three cruises are drive to port, allot simpler.
  3. I haven't worn a buttoned shirt this century, I think I have one still wrapped from some time last century. Better dig it out and see if it fits. I'll at least have long pants, I have to wear them to the port, NJ in October, December and January not shorts weather.
  4. What I see is that the testing in Milford and Nashua is called Rapid Diagnostic Test (ID NOW). I'm not sure that is an accepted test?
  5. Perhaps they are like my wife, she never cleans up her e-mail inbox, has thousands of unread messages. I send her stuff and when I ask her about it she'll say she never got it, but a search will find it. Clean up your inbox and spam folders to be certain you don't miss something important. That being said, it's not impossible for e-mails to go missing in the ether, but sounds like multiple mails get sent.
  6. This sure is causing allot of angst for folks. We're not cruising until Oct 17, but already started checking out options. My Rite Aid says their PCR test takes 2-7 days, no antigen. Checked Walgreens site no, antigen tests in NH, would have to drive to either MA or ME, strange? Again their PCR stated 2-5 days. CVS, has antigen tests available in my area, I do not want to be worried waiting for the PCR so antigen 3 days before seems safest. My son gets tested for his work, his PCR usually comes back between 2-3 days, but again don't want to sit around worrying, so he'll get the antigen with us. Starting to really consider stocking up on the at home kits, have three cruises through Jan. However still need to wait to see if they change protocols. Lets hope this delta starts to flatten out.
  7. I'd love to be able to do the same. My wife doesn't drink do to medical issues and being able to share her vouchers would mean I wouldn't need the DBP. Still have a couple of cruises to go before reaching diamond though.
  8. Any idea how long it takes after leaving the pier to get to the bridge? My son well be all over that photo op. I'm thinking about our dinner reservation timing. Right now we're MDR at 6:30 which seems just about right to miss the bridge.
  9. Relaxing before the cruise is also one reason we're going in early, coming from the East coast we'll need to adjust to the time change. Being a morning person is really tough when I'm on the West coast, not allot to do around 3-4 am ? I do a golf trip to Palm Springs, CA every Feb, my friend and I mostly just stick to East coast timing. Up around 4, golf at 8 am, in bed around 8 pm, love the 3 pm happy hours.
  10. I was on a Southwest flight out of Columbus headed to Manchester NH via a change in Baltimore. They were asking for a volunteer to give up their seat, been a long time since I've seen that. All the flights I've been on this year have been full as well. My next two cruises we're driving to Bayonne we don't need to fly until next June for an Alaska cruise. We plan to fly in two days in advance.
  11. @San Diego Garrett Interesting, I'll assume you do that when you book the package. I've already booked for my Jan cruise with three DBPs I'll see if they will just adjust it without the letter. I'll just call to book the packages for my next couple of cruises, waiting for Black Friday sales, may even have to re-book my Jan DBPs.
  12. Yes she gets a Refreshment package, although she can't do carbonated beverages either, she gets allot of coffees and juice. Calling does seem to be getting better, lower wait times, the other issue was getting a copy of her letter to the right department last time it took several transfers to get to them. I usually have my TA handle this, but already lost out on a sale price I liked due to communication delays, so started handling this part myself.
  13. There are three of us in the cabin, so we all have to get the DBP. My wife can't drink and has a letter from her doctor that we use to get her package removed. So at this point we just have DBP for my son and I. Now the question, has anyone with a similar situation where one cabin guest has been exempted from getting the package tried to cancel and re-book when they saw a better deal? I'm wondering of I'll have to go through the whole book for all three and get my wife removed again, it's sometimes a bit of a hassle getting it done.
  14. Glad I read through this. I wasn't sure what I was going to get for my wife, she always got the Evian, just went and checked, got the Evian water package for our Oct 17 Oasis cruise.
  15. Had my TA apply three FCCs from a cancelled cruise, was only the deposit. They were told one of them was unavailable. Turns out they refunded one of them to my CC. I had wondered what that refund was for. But then the math doesn't work out between what was refunded and the FCCs. Then try and figure out on your invoice how the FCCs are actually applied. I wish they just kept subtracting from the original total like they do for the deposit, then it's clear, instead there is a TBZ5-Global Suspension FCC line with various amounts spread across all guests. Like others I keep a ledger trying to keep things straight but after 3 cancels re-books and various FCC and OBC applications it's almost impossible to make it all match up.
  16. I also got 12:00 for Oct Oasis, just happened to be doing my daily cruise planner check and saw it was available, I'm only Gold so I doubt C&A matters, although I do have a JS.
  17. We're on Oasis in Oct, not going to get off at Port Everglades, I vacation in Orlando every year if I wanted to go there. Have Beach Club at CocoCay, will wait a bit more to decide about Nassau. Things are changing so often I don't think I can plan two months out.
  18. We're on Oasis Oct 17th, and we're optimistic. After that it's Anthem in January and we're hoping to see something about that.
  19. To add to the confusion, their math doesn't always add up. I've had refunds not match what I paid, I've had balances on invoices not add up, and FCCs that I can't figure out how they came up with the total they had. I've got to the point if I can keep the discrepancy below 100$ I've been more or less happy.
  20. I had booked two cruises direct in 2020 and early 2021. When all the cancellations started I was able to move my 2021 cruise to a TA and have booked two more with them. The issue I've run into is tracking the FCCs and OBCs from my personal cruise which were later added to the 2021 cruise which then got cancelled as well. The TA could not track them accurately. Spent about an hour on the phone with Royal and got it all figured out. I'm still quite happy going forward with my TA. Glad to hear about booking a cruise myself then transferring it, I hadn't thought about that and I've played message tag with my TA trying to get a booking that I really wanted. I'm going to keep this in mind as I start looking at 2023.
  21. Ha, I just spent a couple of days trying reconcile my own FCCs and OBCs and match what my invoices say, same problems, I can't get the math to work out. Part of my problem is the weird way they apply the FCC. It would be so much easier if they just subtracted it from what was owned similar to how they do the deposit, instead they deduct it from the cruise fare, so you need to keep multiple copies of invoices. I've started using a travel agent which has let me just drop in their lap, but I have one cruise that I booked, that I've used FCC and OBC for two other cruises which have since been canceled which went through my agent. The good news was when I called RCL last week, I only held for about 5 minutes and got my answers right away, lucky that I was ahead of the May cancellations.
  22. I'd really like to grab some deals for my October cruise, but I've got a bunch of stuff plus OBC tied up in my January cruise that I figure will get cancelled, so I need to wait for that to become available. Hopefully I'll get similar sails early next year, got COCO beach club for 63 in Jan.
  23. We were able to check in for our Jan 10th cruise as soon as it opened in October. Since then, I finally got my renewed passport and wanted to update the check in with that info. Check in doesn't work any more, makes me highly suspicious that they are going to cancel the cruise.
  24. Since my January cruise is probably going to get cancelled, I was looking at an October cruise out of Cape Liberty on Oasis. My wife's first reaction was, no way hurricanes! I'm really not concerned, any thoughts on how I can mitigate her fears?
  25. I think their system is overloaded, or not designed well to handle all this volume. When I did some Cruise Planner re books last November I got my card credited within a week. Currently I'm using CPC 125% credit and have been able to re book in real time, cancel, get OBC right away, re book. I needed to split my CPC credits between two cruises because between three of us I was going to have more than I wanted on the single cruise, that extra 25%. So I put two on one cruise and the third on a second. I didn't want to just spend OBC because I needed to.
