The key is back on all my upcoming cruises, the next is in 5 weeks on Jewel.  I'll keep an eye out to see if it runs and Report back (as it wasn't happening on Anthem a few weeks ago).

Unfortunately there are 3 Italian stops on Harmony, which would take us over 48 hours.

How would the casino option work?
Would I go get £1200 in chips from cashier, then immediately cash them in, and ask for it in cash?  Or can I get them to send cash back on my bank card?

Italian government website has nothing that i can see about 36hr transit. Just says from the UK you have to isolate.

Certain types of OBC can be transferred to a different cruise prior to the cruise (ie, OBC from a canceled or changed cruise moves to a new cruise), but I don't believe there's any way to transfer unused OBC from a past cruise to a new cruise

em.down.the.rabbit.hole reacted to FionaMG in Onboard Credit - transfer / refund‽
As per the T&Cs, this OBC is non-refundable so it's a case of use it or lose it.
Have you booked any pre-paid stuff such as gratuities, speciality dining, excursions etc? If so, consider cancelling them as that will generate actual refunds to your original form of payment. Even if it takes a few weeks you will eventually recoup that cash. The OBC, which should show up in your cruise planner, can then be used to repurchase the cancelled items.
On the last day of the cruise, if you still have any left, use it up in the shops to buy gifts for yourself or others (think early Christmas shopping).

There are different types of OBC, refundable and nonrefundable. Nonrefundable is lost at disembarkation if not used.  I usually spend my OBC, but I have learned the casino trick mentioned by others: Take an advance at the casino on your seapass card, pay the 5% commission or whatever it is, and pocket the cash (don't lose it gambling).

You can ask them for cash to play the slots. They charge 5% at the cashier window. Or you can see if the slot machine will allow you to charge to your onboard account to add play. Then you get a redemption ticket and go to the machine that converts those to cash (if there is one) or you take it to the cashier window.
Or you get the chips and bet it all on black ??

I'm not long off Anthem and no reservations required for gym, just for classes (but plenty of spaces).  Not all classes were on the planner though, only found out about other spin classes through instructors in the gym.
If in doubt, when you arrive in the embarkation terminal,  log into the app using ship WiFi and check out the gym (if reservations required it will highlight the reservation button).
Oh and an additional tip - you can also do the e-muster in the terminal too whilst you're waiting to board.

Does your wife get the Refreshment package or no package with your letter?
My husband doesn't drink, but gets the Refreshment package.  I call Royal directly to book (can't buy mixed packages on the website).  I also call for any price drops that occur.
I find the Crown & Anchor phone number is the best one to call for this kind of assistance.  I think this is still good information:
Crown & Anchor Society Desk at 1800 754 500 Option 5. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm.

We are on the same sailing date but not sure if we can help you in view of Covid restrictions ? Casino options may be more rewarding.

We’ve got a hefty OBC too due to a price drop. What we don’t spend, we plan to cash out in the casino. I believe they take 5% when you do this. There’s a couple other casino tricks too. I’ll let others post them as I’m sure to get it wrong lol

em.down.the.rabbit.hole reacted to Stemcgoo in Teen Crown and Anchor status after 18th birthday
    Hi all, first post here.
I have a question about teens CAS tier membership after an 18th birthday.
My daughter currently has her own CAS number and holds the same CAS tier as us, she is 17.  We’ll be hitting Diamond tier later this year after a cruise, and after this she turns 18, before we are sailing again next year.
My question is what tier will she have after her 18th birthday (we are in UK so expect she’ll be considered Adult in her own right, however the sailing next  year is actually out of Port Canaveral so not sure if this will be 21…?)
Will she still be treated same tier as us her parents, or will she now have her own points?  If the latter what points does she ‘inherit’ - ie our Diamond tier? Or is there a count back on actual points from her own sailings (a little less than ours as we have honeymoon and anniversary cruises without kids). Or does she start from scratch…??
    All advice is most welcome.

Sounded good until they reported you had to pay to open the sex toy box in your cabin( no joke )
