Assuming this means you like margaritas, there are some unique ones.

Desert pear with black salt at Schooner Bar…

Goalpost Margarita at Playmakers (jalapeño pineapple)…

I also like “The Pitch” from Playmakers which is basically a modified Long Island with Midori & Sprite so it’s green like a Tokyo Tea…

Definitely plan on trying these!! They look AMAZING!!!

  2. Hello all! This will be our first cruise since April 2022 and since having our daughter! We are so excited to finally be going on Oasis (short 3 day cruise which is sad) and are looking forward to celebrating our 5 year anniversary and enjoying some time together (even though we'll probably be taking about our daughter most of the time 😆. This will also be the longest we've left her 😭). Anyways, I know there is a Starbucks on the ship and I know you cannot use the DBP with them, but can you load a Starbucks gift card on the app and use that and/or can you just scan and pay and still collect stars? I really don't care about drinking their coffee because I know I can get specialty coffees on the Promenade (I just like to collect the points for free drinks and other items).  We kind of went all out this cruise by buying the DBP, trying out Hideaway Beach, and possibly getting a reservation at a speciality restaurant!!

Also, please spam us (me) with your favorite drinks! This mama plans on enjoying herself since I will be childless 😅! I love tequila and vodka (specifically Espolon which I know they don't have on board and Titos), but I am willing to try anything! I know they have Trulys but does anyone know if they have High Noons?

PS. I hoping we can book onboard another cruise so I can start getting our daughter addicted. Does anyone know how far out we can book? Our daughter is only 16 months and we are hoping to take her in 3-4 years (probably wishful thinking right now).

suggestions for equipment to bring and any other thoughts for this trip.

There is a group on Facebook called Royal Caribbean Moms at Sea: Cruising with Babies, Toddlers, Kids and Teens. I highly suggest joining this group! I feel like they will be more helpful than this board (no offense to this board or those that have traveled with children).

My husband and I were debating on cruising with our 15 month old so I joined this group (we opted not to for now) and I've found so much information!

Also, what ship are you sailing on? I just want to make sure you are aware that babies/children who are not potty trained cannot go into any of the pools on board (even if they wear swim diapers), but can use the splash pad.

  4. You can look into a private shuttle service that might be able to provide a carseat. If you are on Facebook, there is a group called Royal Caribbean Moms at Sea: Crusing with Babies, Toddlers, Kids and Teens. This group has lots of wonderful information and great advice!

Edit to add: if you are bringing your carseat, and Uber/Lyft will work just fine. Just let the driver know you need some extra time to install the carseat.

find the one you want and go right to lime and coconut on that deck..they'll pencil you In right there, don't wait until day of reservation or it might be taken. They say to do it on the day you have it, but they'll do it for you on day 1.

Awesome!! Thank you so much! I was going to try and book it when we got on the ship but wasn't too sure if they would let us!

  6. Does anyone know or have a map of where roughly the casitas are located on Oasis? My husband and I booked one for a port day and I know you have to go the the Lime and Coconut the day of (or can try on embarkation). I'm just curious as I would like to get one that gets some sun. Not terribly concerned just curious.

    TIA 🙂

  7. To make a long story short, my husband and I are ready to cruise again after taking a 2 yr hiatus due to starting a family.

We are looking to cruise this coming November (just us two to celebrate our 5 yr anniversary) on Oasis and this time we are planning on using a TA (already reached out to MEI). Anyways, we used to play MyVegas and typically turned in our credits for OBC. He thinks if we use a TA that we cannot turn in our credits for OBC. Does anyone know if this is true or should I just wait until I hear from a TA?

    Thanks!!

  8. Hi everyone!! It's been quite some time since I have posted on here! Can someone help us as we are possibly planning a cruise for our 5 year anniversary next year and we may bring our daughter who will be roughly 22 months. Did you find it easy or hard to travel with a child this young? Also, I know you would have to pay for childcare on the ship. I'm assuming the cost depends on the itinerary/ship? What would the cost be roughly? Will RC provide a crib or would we have to bring a pack n play? How did it work traveling with the carseat from airport to hotel to ship? I have so many questions but unsure if it would be worth bringing her!!

The two ships we are looking at are Allure of the Seas out of Miami or Liberty of the Seas out of Fort Lauderdale

  9. We tipped our porter as well as our stateroom attendant.

We have also tipped some bartenders who went above and beyond (had our drinks ready when we go there, knew us by name, etc).

Tipping amount is really up to you. Give whatever you are comfortable with. I believe at Guest Services they have envelopes where you can write their name and their job title to make sure that tip goes directly to them.

  10. If you download the app, you will have your Seapass card there as well! Much handier than printing papers to carry around (in my opinion)! Most of the time, the crew members will just ask for your room number. When paying for something, your picture shows up so you can't give a "fake" or different room number

Also, your card is valid once you board the ship!

99.9% of the time, the rooms are ready at 2. The captain will make announcements about that during embarkation.

  11. Just a little vent session (I apologize). This is why I like/need to be "in charge" of vacation planning 😂.

First, I should be grateful that my in-laws are paying for us to go on a family cruise this September, but I am running into some issues!! My in-laws are using a travel agent so I reached out to her because our cruise wasn't showing in our planner. When I entered the booking ID, it was saying not found (or something like that). The agent looked into it and said I have two C&A numbers, one under my maiden name and one under my married name which is causing this issue. Since I was going on a cruise soon, she suggested that I see the C&A specialist on board. When I boarded Indy, I went to the C&A specialist who said I only have one number and the last name is current. I asked the specialist about why my September cruise isn't showing and she suggested I go see NextCruise. They tell me that the booking was cancelled (minutes after the confirmation email was sent saying we were booked)!! The other thing that I find odd is that our agent said we do not have any OBC because of the rate we were given (is something like this true). Since I had enough points saved on MyVegas, I cashed them in for a $100 OBC and forwarded that on to the agent. Long story short, I was told by the casino I could not redeem it.

Flash forward to last night. I logged into the cruise planner and our cruise is now showing (thank God plus under a new booking ID). And, I was able to redeem the $100 OBC!

Now, the only issue I am seeing involves My Time Dinning. This is the first time I am seeing this message when I go to reserve a spot for My Time dinning. Could this be because my in-laws booked everything for us (well through a travel agent)? Has anyone else seen anything like this? The original booking email says traditional dinning at 8 (but keep in mind, that booking ID is no longer valid).
