  1. We were in cabana 41-so further away but honestly, I would be shocked if any cabana in that section could smell smoke. I’m very sensitive to the smell and would have certainly noticed. if you are able to choose, cabana 42 is probably the most secluded. In order to go anywhere, the back cabanas walk by the others but if you were in 42- no one but the attendant would be near you. You could always drop the sides so you have more privacy. I’m sure whichever cabana you choose, you’ll know the best way to make it a fabulous day!
  2. Hi! I’ve stayed in the 38-42 section( wave pool) and the 49-54 section ( family slides). We loved the section by the wave pool! There was no foot traffic other than the neighboring cabanas. A small snack shack was close and that’s also close to where our attendant stationed herself. We just waved at her if we needed anything. She was absolutely lovely. The shack was far enough that we never saw or heard people there The cabana near the slides was up a small sandy hill. There was supposed to be a button for our attendant but she said they don’t work so it was removed. We were a distance from a bar or food. It was a bit of an inconvenience because our attendant didn’t come by often so we made several trips to get food and drinks. It was a very active place up there. Great for people watching but not secluded or quiet. We were able to watch people splash down but there was a lot of screams from the slides and large group conversations/ families having fun. Definitely not the area for a quiet experience. good luck
  3. My girls had the refreshment package on Allure. They loved the smoothies at the vitality bar. It was included in the package.
  4. I was on Freedom this past Thursday. SUPER surprised to see her there!! I really wanted to get on for a peek. They closed off one of the beaches on Cococay and made it a private area for the crew of Wonder.
  5. Hi Dswallow i just went to the RC web site to get the link to the specific test and it looks like their answer to the test question has changed ( unless I’m looking at it wrong ). They no longer have any mention of home tests supervised or not. Things are changing so fast, it makes my head spin. Q If I need to take an antigen or PCR COVID-19 test before my cruise where should I go? Are there any considerations I need to take when finding the right test provider? How soon do I need results back and where do I submit the results? A Many health providers and chain drug stores, including Walgreens and CVS, now offer COVID-19 testing for work, travel and other reasons. Some things to keep in mind when scheduling your test: Make sure that you are familiar with the testing timeframe required for your specific port of departure – most of our ports of departure require that you take the test no more than 3 days before your sail date. Make sure that your selected provider is able to provide your results in time for your travel. How to calculate “3 days before”: The day you set sail is not included as one of the days. So for example, if you are setting sail on a Saturday, you can take your test on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday before. Print out your test results if possible to facilitate easy access, as you may need to present them at various points. At the terminal, we will also accept test results presented on your phone, like the results email from your testing provider. It should include your name, the date the test was taken, type of test, and your negative result.
  6. I never head of this so I looked it up. Thanks for the info! Do you know if RC will accept it as a test? I’ve heard they do not allow at home testing and this seems to be a mix of the at home/site test. Testing here is only free with a Dr referral so it will cost us $150 per test.
  7. We were able to use our shareholder credits on our upcoming cruises in Aug and Feb. it wasn’t a problem.
  8. Thank you for posting pictures. It looks amazing! We booked it for an upcoming (hopefully) cruise . My youngest daughter loves the water but wears glasses and feels snorkeling would be too blurry. Hopefully this will be perfect for all of us.
  9. My girls ( 9 &11) loved the turtle rescue in GC. They swam with turtles and spent time in a non-turtle pool. It wasn't a ship sponsored excursion but easy to do on your own.
  10. We' eve been to Cozumel 2x. We chose Nachi Cocon Beach club. It was all inclusive and limited to 130 people. Grounds were clean, food and drinks were delicious and the staff were wonderful. We had access to their pool and swim up bar or chairs and umbrellas on the beach. Other clubs have inflatables and are more of a party atmosphere. My family enjoys relaxing (with a little pampering).
  11. I recently messaged RC about the amp- I'd go either way but I'm booked in a suite that was to be built as part of the amp and don't know if I can/should switch rooms(non refundable deposit). Knowing how busy they are I was plesently surprised they responded. ? They wrote: with global developments rapidly evolving, we're reviewing all options to bring Allure into dry dock this year and determining the extent of enhancements we can make ..." Of course they don't know what's going to happen but it sounds like they are not giving up on the idea of some changes.
  12. Thanks for your insight. I guess we'll find out in the next month what has/hasn't been done. Good luck to all and stay safe.
  13. Hi all- Newbie here. Planned our 1st RC cruise for Aug 2021, before the world changed. We booked Allure's new ultimate panoramic view suite. I realize no one knows what will happen, but just in case the rooms aren't built .... should I put a deposit on another room ( so many people need to rebook cruises I'm afraid inventory will disappear)? Would RC offer something else or just tell me sorry, out of luck? We don't have a lot of extra $ but if we don't make that cruise date we may have to wait until the following summer before we cruise. ? I was hoping one of you experienced RC cruisers may have some experience/insight. Thank you!!
