Depending on the amount, I would maybe keep the refund.  FCCs have multiple restrictions, so please be aware.

I would like to see more Asian dishes added (like Pad Thai, curry, etc).  I know some of it can be requested on the side, but it would be nice to have it formally on the menu.  This can also cover lots of vegetarian/vegan needs as well for menu coverage.

My sailing is not until October 2021, so I will see what Labor Day, Black Friday, and (insert made-up holiday here) sales bring.  We have two rooms and two people who drink, so we can bring up to 4 bottles of wine if it stays too expensive (based on my estimation of value).
No matter what, I am having a Grey Goose screwdriver during the much delayed sail away!  I think once cruising starts up again, there will be so many happy, happy people!

I will be curious to see what Royal Caribbean releases.  Neither of us are on the health panel, and I doubt that anyone of the panel could give a care to either of our opinions.
I am just hoping for some sanity and for this to be over as soon as possible.  That way, people can possibly go back to being somewhat civil (fingers crossed against all odds).

Actually, anyone with a breathing issue / trouble breathing is told not to wear masks (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover-guidance.html#:~:text=CDC recommends all people 2,know that they are infected.).  Why would that be if they do not inhibit breathing?  I know where you are coming from with much of MSM telling us masks are good and all, but they must inhibit breathing to a large enough degree to tell people like that not to wear them.

I hope this is clarified by Royal Caribbean if they require masks.  Costa's site seems to be vague about the Lido deck and being in a gym in relations to mask usage (places where masks would inhibit oxygen consumption when needed by your body).  I really hope it is not that inclusive.
This is a deal breaker for many people (both ways) for many vacationers, so I hope there is good clarity no matter which way it falls (fingers crossed for the least masking possible).

As @Matt mentioned on the home page, RC is implementing later check-in times. Some of them much later than most of us, from what others have said, would ever check-in. I'm onboard with what  @Matt lives by that earlier the better, as far as getting on board and starting your cruise. With that being said, will boarding before noon be a thing of the past, with all the expanded cleaning protocol?  I know past boarding times have been more of a suggestion and the times have not been adhered to. Is that also a thing of the past? Will passengers be forced to choose a boarding time and stick to it? Will departure times also be getting later?
Lots of questions with unfortunately, no answers in sight at this point.
    Happy (future) Cruising!

Oh, I agree.  People with health issues should stay home if they feel at risk.  The world should not shut down for a small subset.

We never carry our phones around on the ship but carrying a phone around would be a small price to pay if that's what it takes.
I also agree that having brave souls go before us is very helpful...and from what I can see/hear, it seems to be going well.
I was very VERY happy to read that they were only requiring masks on land. That is a HUGE deal, if you ask me !

Assuming it's ultimately the 5-minute rapid test that was announced recently, I imagine that the cost of the test will be bundled into the cruise fare of every passenger. I'm also hopeful that the cost of that test will be in line with that of a home pregnancy test or other OTC rapid-result test.

I watched the Port of Galveston Trustees meeting today and heard the following items of interest:
The Port Director stated "Royal Caribbean insists they will begin construction on Cruise Terminal 3 on April 1st (2021)." Other Cruise Terminal 3 updates: The design of roads and infrastructure for the East End Cruise Corridor is ongoing.  This includes roads to Terminal 3 and roads to a potential future Terminal 4. Design of utilities to support Royal Caribbean's Cruise Terminal 3 is 90% complete. Traffic study is 90% complete.  The study will recommend upgrading Old Port Industrial Road to accommodate traffic to Cruise Terminals 1 & 2, and using Harborside Drive for traffic to Terminals 3 & 4.  The traffic study determined that a lot of vehicle traffic arrives at the port from hotels along the beach, and it seemed to be a surprise to some Trustees that people spend the night in hotels the night before a cruise. As I speculated back in April, the Port is planning for a "potential" Cruise Terminal 4 in their planning and design.  Nothing has been announced about a 4th Cruise Terminal. I announced earlier this year that building permits for Cruise Terminal 3 were already approved by the City of Galveston. The Port Director participates in online meetings with other Ports and the major cruise lines.  What he's hearing: Most COVID precautions will be similar to what we are already doing on land. The main focus is on getting on and getting off the ships: keep people with COVID from getting on... and if someone does get COVID while aboard the ship then get them off ASAP. CDC is finally talking to the cruise lines. Disney will limit the number of people in the terminal by enforcing check-in arrival times.  They will limit ship capacity to 70%. The Port has signed a contract with Lyft that charges passengers $2 per pickup and $2 per drop-off.  Uber has declined to sign such a contract and has been informed that they (Uber) are not allowed in the Port. I also posted this topic here.

Ok for those wondering...I am in healthcare... i will not board if i have to wear a mask.
I do and will wear a mask every day until it is plausibly safe to not to do so. Even before this pandemic there were times when I donned a  mask when necessary for the safety of myself and or my patients.
There are other nasty bugs out there that will get you in worse ways than Covid-19.
    Be safe but be aware.
