I had a feeling this was coming.  Not sure they had much choice.

Perspective is the word of the day. My cruise was a luxury. A break from life and the daily grind. It's a bummer I have to reschedule, and have to cancel my PTO request.....but ......I have an awesome family, I have my health, and....now.....I get to pick out, and plan another cruise to replace the one we just lost!  So....as upset we are at losing a vacation, and the hassle of canceling hotels and excursions and such....just ask yourself......

My  April 12 Transatlantic was cancelled but I was going to cancel myself anyway. I hope I get a refund and not cruise credit. The notice doesn't specify.
 

The Oasis captain just made the announcement. Full refund or 125% FCC to be used by the end of 2021 with an option to change your mind in favor of a refund later.

We were supposed to leave at 7 CST tonight to cruise on Adventure tomorrow, kick in the gut. Spring Break plus 7 year anniversary trip.

The prices on that cruise were skyrocketing before all this stuff hit the fan. It's not selling any cheaper with the pandemic hitting things, and I expect that as people look for sailings outside of the shutdown window it'll only get worse. Current pricing on an inside (and there are only a couple left) is $1,900 pp NRD with no perks. OV cabins (again just a couple left) are more like $2,800 pp NRD with no perks.
 
EDIT: Here’s a screen shot of the current NRD, no perk rates for this sailing. The ship is almost fully booked, so some classes are inflated due to minimum category availability. E.g., the only Verandah left is an aft family balcony cabin on deck 8 that sleeps 6.

They waited an extra day so they could announce on Friday the 13th right?

On the last day of the cruise,  knock on doors and ask for the leftover TP on the rolls.

Also the Canada/New England early sailings (Royal has 11 through the end of June).

Just wanted to stop by and say hello! We discovered this site after watching all the Royal Caribbean blog videos on youtube. They have been so helpful. We normally vacation in Disney World but frankly that is just getting way to expensive and the crowds are getting stupid. SO we tried a Disney Cruise last September and loved it but that too is way overpriced. We decided to check out Royal Caribbean. We leave for our first cruise in June on the Mariner of the Seas. We also went ahead and booked the Symphony of the Seas for September. So anyway just wanted to say hello, and maybe we can meet some of yall on our next cruise!

?  We're definitely going on Vision of the Seas Mar 21.... we ran out of toilet paper!!!  

We have two rooms booked in the Mariner of the seas June 1st. Praying everything will calm down by then. On the bright side we booked it like 7 months ago for $4100 we called yesterday and it was adjusted down to $2400!!  

That is ok. We really wanted that room. I'm not really sad about it, as long as I am on a cruise.

Leaving tomorrow on Symphony.  To anyone going on a cruise in the near future, I would suggest shutting off your social media,  as the shit talking crap you’ll take from your friends and acquaintances will be too much.
i thought we had up until 48 hours to cancel cruise, and wife and I were mulling it over yesterday morning only to learn that we had to cancel midnight the night before.  That made our decision for us.  Not throwing 8k down the drain to avoid a disease that is EVERYWHERE now.   
 
The world has lost its mind, but I choose to use logic and common sense.  With everything I’m hearing about RC’s steps to screen passengers and precautions on the ship, at this time I feel more confident and safer  taking a cruise than a trip to the local Costco 

Just hit the Florida state line.  Staying at mother in laws in Fort Myers tonight, and if RC ends up cancelling then we’ll look for an Air BnB in the keys or somewhere else for a bit.  Either way I’m not going back to the cold until next weekend!

Just sent out a text if any student or faculty goes on a cruise they must self isolate for 14 days upon return. Looks like I am canceling my April 24th.

I find that I rinse for about 5 seconds trying to get some soap out of the dispenser, scrub for about 12 seconds wondering if the water is ever going to get warmer ... the another 5 to 8 seconds scanning the towel dispensers for one that isn't empty!  I think I'm covered  ... and I dont have to remember the lyrics! ????

Yes just got off phone with RCCL so far still a go for this weekend departure from San Juan March 15 on Freedom of the Seas.  They said at 3-4 they are sending out a communication to all guests booked for this week but to this point we are still a go...………...here is to hope that we still go!!

We are driving to the ship now! 10 day on serenade! Can’t wait
