Yep..this one's a decent deal, too. I had a cabin booked on this one just in case, but I'm gonna go ahead and have my travel agent cancel it. I'll do Canada later when things calm down a bit.

    Yep.
Just for reference, here's the itinerary pulled from an email that Royal sent my travel agent that she then forwarded to me. They haven't notified me directly; the change came about yesterday.

Quick and easy history opportunity is the National Museum of Bermuda right at the Royal Dockyard where you'll be docked. It is self guided and very informative. Cost is $15 for adults. (A quick check of the website https://nmb.bm/ indicates that it is currently closed to the public due to the Coronavirus)
Haven't taken it but there is an Historic Forts of Bermuda excursion offered in the Cruise Planner. Seems like one to explore (I've been to a few of the forts individually).
And if your interest in history includes the United States Civil War/The War Between the States/The War of Northern Aggression (pick your favorite descriptor), the Bermuda National Trust Museum in St. Georges is located in the building that was the headquarters for Confederate agents during the war and includes a permanent display related to blockade runners and the role played by Bermuda.

Same! With the incentive that RCCL gave when they changed our itinerary, I'll mostly just be paying for gratuities on a deluxe beverage package (which, if I figured it correctly will come out to $90, so $10/day!)

    Magic!
Seriously, they just shove the two beds together. Never had an issue with a gap forming. Perhaps the mattresses are joined together.
I'll defer to @Lovetocruise2002 because she inspects her stateroom like she is in an episode of CSI.

    People have short memories.
So many people are being impacted by the virus right now that it's hard to imagine anyone who won't be impacted in some way either directly or through a family member.  The cruise industry already is being forgotten even with the latest ship news hitting the street.  There is so much news to digest with each passing day
The cruise industry just went through a series of record years with incredible profits.  Cruising after this passes may not be the same.  Load factors may be down but so will be investor expectations.  Investors and Wall Street won't expect the same dividends or results.  Slowly cruising will start to resemble what it has been these past few years.

I plan on going back to business as usual as far as travel is concerned. I still plan on cruising and flying, using the same precautions I did before all this craziness.

See !!  You have accidentally stumbled upon one of the hidden UPsides to this otherwise horrific situation !  I am not spending ANY money (except for the new Oasis Cruise I just booked) so lots of money for little upgrades and extras !

I, thankfully, don't have some of the same concerns that those who don't work from home all the time or those who have kids are facing, and I'm sorry you're having to think about these things!
I've really been wrestling in recent days with the idea of cruising. When there was talk of a bailout for cruise lines, the vitriol against the cruise companies, cruisers, and cruises was scathing. I'm honestly keeping a very small circle of people informed that I'm planning on cruising in June if my cruise goes ahead. I sadly think a lot of people who haven't taken a cruise look at it as some big luxury, and yet they don't bat an eye at folks who take any other sort of travel and book hotels or travels or ski vacations or anything like that
Bluntly, it flat-out sucks that cruisers are being seen as some privileged class who are just being careless in deciding to take their trips on what people are basically calling giant petri dishes. ?
I wish I had answers about how people will react post-cruise, but I think everybody's gonna be viewed with suspicion for a while -- though yeah, I worry cruisers are going to see additional scrutiny. ?
I wish you the best in whatever y'all decide!

I'm right there with you, right there with you. There is too much gloom and doom. Too much pessimism. People can't see 2 feet ahead of them.
I am very concerned about all this. I have tears in my eyes everyday here in the Tristate area because NY and NJ are getting hit hard but there is good news out there. Just have to look for it. I'm an optimist, things will get better, things will improve.
Thank you to all the hard work the doctors and nurses are putting in. They are the angels of America. My mother in law is a nurse. It's a mostly thankless job.

Yes I agree I worked in an ER for the majority of my career and the only thanks you get is the appreciation of the ones you serve (well most of the time)....One has to keep peoples spirits up because we all have to get through it anyhow so why not with a smile

I'm now trying to upgrade one of my booked cruises. The money I'm saving on train tickets, going out, lunches, dumb purchases will hopefully go towards a balcony. yolo.

I just got notice of the expected itinerary change since I'm supposed to go to Canada. We're doing the New England ports, and then we'll head south for an overnight in Bermuda. They're offering  the 125% FCC or 100% refund if you wanna cancel, and if you press on with your sailing, $250 for interior, oceanview, or balcony rooms...or $450 for suites -- and the OBC is refundable.
I guess I upgraded at just the right time! ?
