Ohhhhhh....ok....I don't have a med cruise with RCCL booked but I do have Caribbean sailings.

In North America as long as you don't already have FCC applied to a booking you can apply FCC towards an existing booking.  
Any given booking can only have one FCC applied to it.  
Final payment made or date doesn't matter.   Twice I've applied FCC to existing bookings that resulted in an overpayment occurring.  The overpayment was refunded to my credit card.   
I've also applied FCC to a cruise booked under 90 days away.  When you book under 90 days the final due date has passed and you have to pay in full when you book.  There is no option to pay some of the total and let FCC take care of the balance when you book past final payment due date.  FCC can't be applied until you have a booking but to be booked you have to pay 100%.  So in that case I was charged the full cruise payment to my credit card and days later the FCC amount was refunded to my credit card since upon applying it I had overpaid for the cruise.

We are waiting till someone forces our hand. If my wife's employer forces her to self quarantine upon return, we will have to cancel. Shes the nurse manager and it would be cutting off her nose to spite her face to force them to enforce that. She cant manage clinic remotely, and would have a mountain of work after 3 weeks away. So far its just recommendations from above that she not go....but if this goes further, its a sad state of affairs for the family cruise.  #stillgoing #fornow #positivevibes   

Just got the call from my wife (nurse) that her doctors are "Freaking out" about her going on a cruise. I dont like where this is headed. Never mind that shes exponentially more likely to come in contact with ANY contagious illness AT WORK than on a cruise.  

One adult per room is correct, but they do make an exception for connecting rooms, non-connecting rooms adjacent to the adults, and rooms across the hall from the adults.
I have booked several cruises with the kids in connecting rooms, adjacent rooms and our next cruise will have the kids across the hall. I have also been required, when the kids were younger, to book with one kid with each parent even in connecting rooms.
That being said at twelve years of age, I would not have placed my children so far away from me.  My youngest would escape from Adventure Ocean when she was younger, I would have hated to see what trouble she would have gotten into if we were not close enough to check on her.
 
 

Isn’t there a rule requiring at least 1 person in the room to be 18 ?  I’m surprised they allowed the booking to process with the children’s ages.

The ship we were on did not care that my boys were in an interior cabin and we were in a balcony. With that being said, they were across the hall from us. I would just want my 12 y/o girls a little closer then 4 decks away.

When we had our abbreviated Anthem cruise in Feb (what started this whole mess !!), we were at 65% capacity and there was absolutely NO “ghost town” feeling at all.  It was a GREAT cruise.

There is a Facebook group that I belong to for my sailing.. originally the boat was sold out... and as of yesterday- someone in the group counted over 500 rooms available.. Yes, I said counted... She actually sat there and did a mock booking to see how many rooms were available. LOL

Yes, you absolutely CAN apply an FCC to the cruise you have booked in April 2021.  FCC does not have to be used to book a new cruise.  Can be applied to any existing cruise - even one that is paid in full.

I wish that Royal would start offering more....like Carnival or Norwegian is npw.....between OBC offers and being able to cancel further out...
 
Royals Cruise with Confidence is probably one of the worst offers out there right now for those ppl booked and trying to decide what to do moving forward with their reservation.

FWIW, my parents think I am crazy for going on my cruise this weekend.
My thoughts on the situation are no one in my family has a high risk factor (underlying health condition, elderly, etc) and you cannot live your life in fear of "what ifs".
Moreover, I've seen countless reports from cruisers on the lengths the cruise line is going to sanitize the ships.
