We’ve seen a group of bikers bring their Harleys on a cruise and they were off loaded in port so they could ride and loaded back on for the next port. 

I would say my biggest issue with Carnival is the garish design, so RCG has better decor imho. ?
I think the entertainment value on RCG is better because they have original productions, some off Broadway shows and better musicians. I find the comedy shoes on  Carnival to be a bit better though. Food is a very subjective topic but I found RCG to  be better in terms of temp quality. Also RCG is much cleaner, well it seems that way because on my first RCG Jan 2019 on Mariner...all I saw were crew members wiping things down and being friendly.

My husband and I aren't cheap...we're frugal. We always book a balcony (I need somewhere to go in the morning when he's still snoring so I don't fantasize about smothering him ?), but we generally prefer to allocate the rest of our budget to other things. 
BUT, we're sailing with friends for their 30th anniversary in January, and we just booked a 2 BR Grand Suite to share with them. I'm afraid that after this, I won't be able to go back to steerage ?

I’m in no way looking for a freebie. I’m only asking that they allow me to use the base gates that I paid for for myself or other family members who are still willing to cruise, instead of “sticking to their rules” when those two fares were for two women over 70 who have been advised by their doctors that they will not clear them to ever cruise again.  No freebies here for anyone except RCCL

I am a premier member of Club Royale. Many of my cruises have been heavily discounted due to the amount I have spent on board at the casino.
My hubby and I love the Translantic and back to back. Both can get quite costly. The way we have seem much if the world has been with the help of these certificates. Two of our cruises have been cancelled. Both of these cruises had money off due to these earned certificates. $1300 in all.  I asked to move the credits to other cruises we already have booked next year. The answer was no exceptions they are expired. Well of course they are ,you cxd the cruises they could be used on.  Im sorry ...I so love cruising with Royal but this is not taking care of those who are good repeat customers, anyone else have this issue.  What can we do about it.

P&O Cruise Line (part of Carnival Group) stopped charging gratuities from the middle of 2019. There is absolutely no obligation to hand out any tips but you can give something to those crew members who you think deserve it. That’s the way I like it ???

I love the US, it's by far the best country in the world. But seriously who came up with the idea of gratuities? ? Just advertise the real price and pay your workers more!!!

Just received my FCC April 10, 2020 from a canceled March 15, 2020 sailing.
The March 15 sailing was moved to July 4, 2020. Another deposit paid and also told I had to pay for the balance of the July 4 cruise (90 day rule) by April 5th, 2020 and then apply my FCC when I received it both from RCL and travel agent.
I read in my RCL FCC email that my FCC CAN NOT be applied to a cruise paid in full..which was done 6 days ago....or I would have my reservation canceled!
Called travel agent, I called RCL. Both declined to apply FCC to the July 4, 2020 paid in full cruise.
I now have a paid in full rescheduled "new" cruise for July 4, 2020 and an FCC from the canceled March 15, 2020 cruise which expires 12/2021.
To top it off, if the July 4, 2020 cruise is canceled due to the new CDC 100 day rule and FCC is issued for the July 4, 2020 cruise, I will have 2 FCC certificates that CAN NOT be applied to just one new future cruise.
Multiple FCC for the same person are required to be used separately on 2 DIFFERENT cruises.
If I request refund for the March 15, 2020 cruise I lose the $1000 rooms deposit.
Can’t really get ahead…..or break even.

Ok, I’m going to have to ask for some sort of responsibility here from you, rather than just leaving that comment here. 
Let’s say I bought a new volvo last year, I signed all the paperwork, maybe reading some of it and ignoring other parts. If I decide I don’t want it anymore I should just be able to give it back and not have to eat the depreciation penalty? No one is forced (in the US as deposit rules differ elsewhere) to take a non-refundable deposit but many choose to do it. Ignorance of the policy doesn’t mean it doesn’t apply. 

So I look for this and could not quite find it...
I have a family cruise scheduled for Oct 2020, a Western Caribbean on Liberty. I was hoping to Lift and Shift it for a Nov 2021 on Allure. I booked this one on my own and missed the cutoff date to transfer it to my current MEI TA. My 80 yo grandmother is refusing to attend, she won't even fly. If it is not a 9hr or less ride by bus, car or train, she is not leaving Chicago. Everyone I know is afraid to travel or cruise, so I don't want to transfer the booking and be stuck with 2 rooms. I want to cancel the booking and receive FCC, however I don't want the FCC to be in my grandmother's name since she will never cruise....again according to her words. I know there is a way to change the name of a cruise pax as long as the main one stays the same. But is there a way to remove a name before getting the FCC entered? My mother is the main pax in the other room and we have another cruise scheduled so I don't mind her getting double FCC.

I just called and cancelled my Aug. 22, 2020 cruise.  I hope for everyone that cruising will resume 08/01/2020 but I am not willing to risk it with my family at this time.  Still too many issues up in the air.  Will schools require self-quarantine, will my employer, are ports going to be opened?    Hopefully I will be on the Anthem 01/04/2021.    Bon voyage!

If they start Aug 1 but decide not to have my Aug 2 Summit sailing go, I'm not sure if I'll laugh or cry or scream in rage. Maybe all of the above as I go through the five stages.

So Royal is still trying to get crew members that have been on ships for months back to their countries.....With all the world wide travel restrictions I can't how they will be able to get new crew members back to the ships for end of June or even July. Plus the US have a 14 day mandatory quarantine on anyone arriving....would they be allowed to do this quarantine on the ship or do they have to do this on land before boarding....
Can't imagine anything happening this summer....

Now as you have went completely off topic simply due to the fact you didn't read my initial post correctly and you obviously didnt like being told you misread initail post, im just going to ignore your blatant attempts to start any argument simply because its not worth it 

Website advised I would be denied boarding due to health protocols and full refund would be given if I fell subject to restrictions. Called the number as requested told I would have to board a plane and fly half way round the country to get denied boarding refund! They then cancelled my trip and 2 days later the 125%credit and refund offer appears As cruise cancelled. ! I applied for the refund as my sailing was canceled Now they won’t Refund me Got denied boarding or cancelled cruise even though I wouldn’t have called RE boarding if they hadn’t posted health protocols and would have received the offer as all my fellow passengers did. Shameful, illegal, don’t post refund advice on your website and then not follow through. I’ll never book another cruise 

Allocating all back to the credit card holder and allowing it to be split for future cruises seems to fairest way and would keep many people from taking the refund when sailings have been cancelled.  Things change and customers need flexibility.

It would make things quicker, if they would go by those where it was paid for by one credit card or payment method, give that person the FCC then move on to those where it was spit payment method.

I hate how they do the FCC by person. Rolled forward a booked cruise from May to Sept.
The original cruise was a BOGO style so my name has big $ next to it, my buddy has small $.
I got a big FCC, he got a small FCC.
The new cruise is split evenly , so i cant use my full FCC and his FCC doesnt cover his half.
Stupid crap like this makes me just want a refund and deal with it later ....
So now the balance of my FCC has to go to another reservation and he has to pay out of pocket to make it work instead of saying "yep its a wash".

The first refund is the one that I'm increasingly uptight about.  The second I'll take FCC...  I'm usually good at sitting down and hashing out problems  but they are getting worse with their inconsistencies and  could care less attitudes... Some of the worst most belligerent customer service I have ever seen anywhere. I'm sympathetic but they need to ramp up their game in tough times like this and not lose track  of tending to their  client base  with respect and honesty. May 25th is not the April 13th they guaranteed on the refund. Goodness only knows when the FCC will become available... If its another 75  days that's early July... Long after final payment is due on the cruises I'm looking to book. Then what?
 

There is a higher likelihood of FCC going unused with the current policy; hence its better for Royal, and will not change.
