  1. Obviously you need to go on another cruise as quickly as possible. Like turning something off then on again - maybe it didn't reset your equilibrium and you need to try again. For science.
  2. Honestly, a clown chasing me wouldn't even need a knife. ? Just laughing and chasing would be more than enough. Enjoy the day!
  3. First, thanks for the blog, it was entertaining the whole way through. But, I wish I had read it about 14 months ago, because we are about to have some of the same issues. We are traveling with two families and are the only family in a suite. We are in a grand suite, though, instead of a crown loft. I was trying to mitigate the isolation, specifically not booking a crown loft so we could be on the same floor / area (and then they switched to GTY rooms ?). I can definitely see some of the suite value being diminished because when we've traveled together before we always got together for dinner and shows - two of the major suite perks. We also have an overwater cabana booked (which neither family wants to join - $). We can still drop that, but I figure we should try it once. Only one kid is interested in the water park, so if we don't do the beach club, we'll probably just end up at one of the regular beaches. Eh, we'll figure it out. Thanks again, and looking forward to the next blog.
  4. Hey, someone else from Virginia! You are fast approaching, have you made any changes to your excursions or purchases yet? I noticed UDP but no beverage package, is that still the case? Did you get a Royal Up offer?
  5. They were shocked by how much lobster people ate the first three days and had to recalculate. ?
  6. Was the 13 year old 12 or under during all the previous cruises? They are probably limiting you to rooms where you can have certain bed configurations that they want to keep for groups of four. You're just running into it now because your child is 13 instead of 12 and is considered an "adult" instead of a child. I like @WAAAYTOOO's idea, seems like it should work very well. KSF cut-off is 12.
  7. There's a picture of the rules board from Symphony on Cruise Critic with the 44" number. It is possible that it has changed (image is from 2018 and there were previous images showing a 49" height requirement).
  8. Thanks for the pictures and info! Were they controlling access to the docks used to get to the Cabanas?
  9. Out of curiosity, when did you have to give the names for the people going to the beach club cabana? We have one reserved for our cruise but are only a family of four - wondering if we can invite someone we meet on the cruise (our Coco Cay day is at the end of the cruise) or if we will have to have the names at the beginning of the cruise.
