  1. We have inside cabins for our upcoming cruise. My Dad needs a fridge for his insulin. I saw something that said that the small fridges in the room are more like coolers. Is this true? Will it be ok for his medicine? Or do I need to contact RC about making sure we have what he needs? TIA

I bring them loose in a rolling carryon. Makes it easier to cart on my wine and waters. I mix it up, sometimes mostly water and a few sodas, sometimes all water. My mil brought only 4 loose drinks in her bag.

FABULOUS! This means that they can mix what they bring too as they like different things. I may even bring a Cheerwine or Sundrop or two myself. 😄

A short week later, and today I cannot get their website to load.

To put so much responsibility on digital communications, and struggle so often to keep it working... It puts a strain on their customers, but it must be an incredible strain on Royal, not to be able to sell goods and services, even for short periods.

I know very likely it will be working again.

All the more reason I try to plan ahead with my digital business.  I'd hate to have to deal with their website at the last minute, and it's not working.

    .

I was just trying to get into my reservation to buy amenities but it's not letting me get to the page with the options. I can get into my reservation, but when I click "plan my reservation" it goes back to the log in screen. I tried more than once and it kept doing the same thing. It's frustrating! They need to get this fixed.

I have a large family (5 kids) so we always have multiple rooms.  Each room's OBC pops up individually, not as one pot of money.  So your parents and kids will each have their own $100 to spend, as well as you.  Happy cruising (and spending!)!

YAY!! I'm so happy that this is how that is working! Can we use it for gratuities at the end of the trip?

    Hi @Mrs. Thomas!

In your scenario, there is likely $100 OBC per reservation/cabin. So, if you are accessing a different linked reservation, that OBC amount displayed is for that party/group/cabin.

I truly hope you are right! That would mean that my parents have that to spend as well as my kiddos and my husband and myself. This would be great for them. Thank you so much!

  6. I'm also going on Oasis in April 2025. We will be driving about 12hrs to get there. The price for parking at the port is about $22. You can look up the port website for more information. However, there are a few trusted places down the road from the port that are WAY cheaper and have shuttles. I advise doing some homework if this sounds good to you. If you are staying at a hotel, some will let you park there and leave your cars for the duration of your cruise and even have shuttles to the port. I'm not sure which ones, so you would have to make sure to ask.

If you are at a bar you can usually just tap your band, while wearing it, on the little pad they have. If you order from a server, you'll have to hand the actual band to them

Thanks! I think for days where are going to just hang by the pool the WOW band will be worth it. Are there other colors of bands and do you get to choose?

We have a cruise Feb 2025 and I am trying to keep an eye on when excursions and such are posted to CP so I can get items at Perfect Day and Labadee.

How far out do they usually load this?

Anyone have a cool automated way to watch for it?

    Thanks

The excursions for my April 2025 cruise are already in the CP. However, I'm waiting to see when I'll be able to buy the beverage packages.

Maybe not, if he had a camera then he knew the pattern and timing over the course of a week and probably knew exactly when to slip in and out of there. I don’t know how I would react if I caught this creep under the bed but I’m sure it wouldn’t end well.

I'm a mom of a young teen daughter and young son and I agree. If I caught this, it wouldn't end well. It would be worse if my husband caught it. Unfortunately people can get away with alot before getting caught the first time. This is why as travelers we should always be vigilant without being paranoid.

One original person must remain on the reservation. I imagine the OBC is tied to the reservation. So either you or your husband needs to be assigned and the OBC should be put under you. But if the reservations are linked, you can purchase the drink packages in cruise planner with the OBC.

When I booked the cruise I put my husband as the main person making the reservation. This meant that the OBC went to his room, which shows our son being in the room. My room is linked because I made the reservation for three total rooms at the same time. (The third is for my parents) However, when I go into the RC website and choose his room it shows that there is an OBC. It doesn't do that if I choose my room. That's why I was thinking that it's for his room only. However, it may not matter if his soda package takes all of the OBC.

  11. For our sailing next year we put the kiddos in their own room. However, when booking I divided them up because I was afraid it wouldn't be allowed due to ages. Our daughter will be 15 and our son 12 when we sail. We don't have a connecting rooms they are just next to each other. The "boys room" has a on board credit that I would like to use part of for my drink package as well as my husbands. Will RC let me switch the kids around into a room of their own and let my husband and I be in one on paper? This way I can use the credit for both of our drink packages. (soda and refreshments) TIA

I mostly know this from sailing with my young nieces who love their virgin daiquiris but there are more flavors than I realized. I've also read that Royal recently switched brands of fruity drink mix so they could be slightly different now. In any case, if you're looking to make use of your package and like different stuff, ask what flavors they have... it's more than just pina colada, strawberry, and mango. Enjoy!

Great idea! Thanks! OOooo I wonder if they have watermelon...😋

@Mrs. Thomas, when we were on Allure in July (and when I was solo on Navigator in January 2023), our stateroom attendant said morning service was 8-11am while evening was 5-7pm. The evening one they preferred to do it earlier versus later in that time slot. It worked fine for me in the evening because of going to dinner, so that's what we did both times. Hope this helps.

    Yes, that does. Thanks!

Sounds exactly like my wife. She'll have an occasional daiquiri lying out (either light on the rum or just virgin) and an occasional mudslide after dinner with extra chocolate syrup b/c she's also a big kid. She also likes to bring a banana from WJ to the Solarium bar to be added to her strawberry daiquiris (she asks first but every bartender has said yes).

We got to know an amazing bartender in the SL on Wonder in June who was basically making her boozy milkshakes b/c he could get ice cream from the CK kitchen. He was adding banana liqueur and I forget what else but she was drinking them all week.

Your wife and I would get along great. LOL I love fru-fru drinks! I plan on getting the refreshments package on my next trip so I can have a virgin daiquiri or pina colada whenever I want. I'm a sucker for anything fruity.

I like Symphony when I went on it last October, but I wouldn't go back.

I think I've realised that bigger isn't always better, but moreover I've realised that I don't want to cruise on any ship without the Lime and Coconut decor on top deck!  Makes such a difference to me.

But overall it's a great ship, well staffed, a great holiday is guaranteed.

The difference between your post and the OP is that you still gave credit where credit is due and just said that it's not for you. Thank you for that. The OP decided to come on here and bad mouth it all like some hotels.com review. Maybe they work for the competition 🤔 LOL
