  1. Both of my kids are introverts and didn't like Adventure Ocean the one or two times they went, not because of anything wrong with Adventure Ocean. Groups and group activities are just not their idea of fun (they don't like summer camps or group sports either). They like the same things we like about cruising - relaxing down time, reading, movies, dinner in the main dining room, and after dinner shows.
  2. I loved Radiance on our Alaska cruise (I've also sailed Jewel and Brilliance in the same class). It's not going to be as elaborate as the big ships (or as complicated, really), but it's a lovely ship and wasn't considered that small until Oasis class came along. It's not much shorter than Mariner and is nearly 50% longer than Empress, the smallest one. Yet you won't have to do as much walking as on the longer ships. I felt like all I did was get my exercise on Independence. Radiance is a great ship to see the water on. I particularly enjoy the outside seating at the back of the Windjammer.
  3. I've sailed Enchantment probably 5 times, because I live in Florida and for a long time she was going out of Port Canaveral, so it was an easy, value-for-the-money vacation to do frequently. So I definitely have a soft spot for her, and it's a thoroughly enjoyable cruise. That being said, I have found that the quality of the live entertainment shows *generally* corresponds to ship size. However, most of the shows are entertaining and worth watching. The only shows on Enchantment that I can't enjoy are the headliner juggling acts, which at one point they started cleverly referring to as "Action Comedy." I won't even go to those shows anymore, because (personal preference) they are utterly boring to me, and we had one performer who acted completely disgruntled with the audience and part of his show was quite vulgar, during the early show when kids are present. Chances are, you would enjoy an Enchantment cruise, unless you have very particular goals that would be better met by a larger ship.
  4. So jealous! I finally booked Oasis for NEXT year, 2021.
  5. These are the ones I have and they work great: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B073W2CML8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  6. I don't like to pack a bunch of things that I end up not using, or that end up being more trouble than their worth, but these I use and I think I got them all on Amazon: * magnetic hooks by the door to hang lanyards, hats, etc. * dirty laundry bags * battery operated motion-sensor nightlight for the bathroom because I hate turning on the overhead light in the middle of the night I love the washcloth on the shower ledge idea. I'll try to remember that on our upcoming March cruise.
  7. I booked an Ultra Spacious Oceanview on Oasis, for 4 people. I just noticed the the deck plan shows 5+ for this room, but the website allowed me to book it for 4 people and sent me a confirmation with payment balance. Will we run into a problem at check-in, with only 4 people in the room, having paid the balance in full for 4 people?
