We were also due to go on the 13th, was deliberating all weekend if we should go or not. In the end we took the financial hit, and booked an all inclusive break to Mexico instead go on the 15th. Luckily we paid very little for our cabin, got our drinks package and excursion money back and put this towards our new trip. Feel like a massive weight has been lifted from my shoulders now. Holidays should be for total relaxation not to be extra vigilant. Read on Facebook fighter jets flew over the ship today, I would have literally had a melt down. just called RC again and still no plans to cancel, Or change itinerary despite the FCO advising against travel to anywhere within 100 kilometres of the Iran border. I think the ship lane is a lot closer than that. Managed to get a refund for drinks package and excursions but that’s it. Lost quite a bit of money on this but at least I won’t be living in fear for 7 days. I pray for the safety of all of the passengers and crew on that ship.

We are also due to be travelling out Dubai on the 12th for our cruise on the 13th. I called Royal Caribbean today and they said no change and they wouldn’t sail if it wasn’t safe. She said nothing has happened yet .....REALLY! Ok so let’s wait until they retaliate and cause loss of life before we cancel ? They have a lot of money to refund if the cruise is cancelled so unfortunately I don’t think they will despite the warnings. Personally I’m going to take the loss my life is worth more.
