  1. We did this last year and we ended up taking the ferry to Paradise Island from Nassau. That was fairly easy--you can pay for the ferry right outside of the port and it's about a 3 minute walk. It wasn't the nicest boat I've ever been on, but it was fine. It was a pretty long walk once you got off the ferry and a little hard to find your way around. But we asked people and found our way there. It took us probably 15-20 minutes to find the place where we picked up our Resort for a Day wrist bands. We did a special where you could just get beach and aquarium access (no pools or slides) and it worked out really well. There is a baby beach that's a protected lagoon that the kids loved (two 2.5 year olds). This was the only car seat free way I could find. The other option would be to book an expensive Atlantis package through RCCL (that would include slides and the pools). This would most likely have bus transportation that wouldn't require a car seat. But I'm not certain of the vehicle. For Cocoa beach, the RCCL excursion that's just the "Ron Jon Cocoa Beach Shuttle" is a full size bus and totally safe to go on with no car seats. I haven't done it, but I called the cruise line to confirm, and found pics of the busses leaving the port. This is what we will do this year (last cruise we went to Epcot).
  2. I'm so excited about our South Beach cabana! And we had friends rent a beach bed so it looks like they will be close!
  3. We are going to the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau for our May 31 Oasis cruise. I'm wondering-- if it's a straightforward 10 min walk, how close to All Aboard would you leave the resort to make sure you got back in time? I'm used to doing resorts that are a 20 minute taxi and so I would leave 2 hrs in case of traffic.
  4. We were docked from 12pm-9pm and we were dropped off at the Transportation and Ticket center around 2pm and had to be back on the bus at 7pm. So we got about 4.5 hours in Epcot. We are big Disney people and go frequently so it was a nice little taste for us (though pricey)
  5. In St. Thomas we did the pirate ship excursion that took you to snorkel with turtles and then to have lunch and relax on Water Island which is GORGEOUS and the beach was empty. That is still one of our favorite excursions we've ever done. In March we visited the Sonesta in St. Maarten through Resorts for a Day. It's all inclusive and beautiful and right next to Maho Beach so you can relax on the beach or by the pool with a drink and watch the planes come in. The customer service was incredible
  6. If you are looking for a relaxing day, we did the Hilton through Resorts for a Day and had a fantastic time!
  7. My favorite frozen tropical drink is now a BBC after my last cruise--the bartender said it was his favorite frozen drink. It's bananas, baileys and coconut and it's SO GOOD!
  8. My first cruise I booked my flight getting in to Miami at like 4pm. I realized my mistake and had to call and beg them to change it and luckily they changed it to early morning for no change fee (since I called within 24 hours). By my 2nd cruise I realized that you better get in the night before.
  9. We've done Anthem out of Cape Liberty in March twice. In 2018 for the cruise you are going on and in 2019 for a 12 Night Southern Caribbean. For both, we were in the high 50s in the morning when we woke up the next day. I was determined to pack my winter stuff and not use it so I just wore a sweatshirt and jeans and didn't spend much time outside that morning. By the afternoon it was nice-- mid 60s. I wouldn't want to swim in that weather, but it was nice for hanging outside and getting some much needed sun. Coming back, I don't remember as much (probably because I was depressed about returning home). I do remember that the last full sea day was very cold.
  10. Hey Matt! Thanks for the quick reply. I love the podcast and have been listening for years but just now made my way over to the message boards. Anyway, I know that last time I got a beach bed (pre Perfect Day), you had to get a wrist band and only certain people were allowed on South Beach. Even if it's a bit of a walk my friends be allowed to come over and hang out at our cabana if they have a beach bed?
  11. I got an amazing deal on a South Beach Cabana ($399 and they are now $1499 for my sailing) for my group of 7. 3 more people have joined the group and can't afford to pay $1299 for another Cabana. If they get a South Beach Beach bed, will we be in the same location and be able to hang out together? I don't want to lose my amazing deal! Thank you!
  12. I did the Coastal Cruise and it was FANTASTIC. My favorite excursion of our 12 night Anthem cruise
  13. I booked a South Beach Cabana for $399 for 7 people and then 3 friends decided to join the cruise. We don’t want to book 2 cabanas because they are now $1299. If we get a South Beach Cabana and a South Beach Beach Bed will we be in the same area to hang out together? I know before Perfect Day, you had to have a wrist band to enter that area. Thank You!
