According to the story, a vaccinated passenger tested positive (after presenting cold-like symptoms)  and subsequently removed from the ship.  

Hi sorry that this happened and hopefully Royal will do something for you.  Two questions:  Did your hubby ever test positive and which vaccine did he receive?  And was the other person vaccinated and if so what vaccine? 
I wish the CDC would provide us with honest numbers of those who tested positive after being vaccinated and how many vaccinated were capable of transmitting the virus.  I doubt we'll ever see that kind of honesty from them.

I am seeing more and more Hotels using Murphy Beds as the primary bed in the room.  In case you are not familiar with a Murphy Bed, this is a bed attached to the wall that you pull down at night to reveal the bed.  Having a Murphy bed gives you more space during the daytime.
There are now Murphy Beds that are a couch when not folded.  And I have also seen Murphy Beds that are tables during also when not folded.  Visuals below...
I know that the beds in the rooms can be 2 twins.  But I feel more people have them together and the Murphy Bed would be terrific in a smaller room.  Maybe have these as "upgraded" rooms.  I would pay extra for a room like this.
Just a thought.

Soitenly! My NCCF (non-commissionable cruise fare) is reduced as well as the other fare adjustments. The most common error I have experienced is the taxes & fees line. On 2 occasions it was double (bots gone wild?) but a competent rep can correct this easily.

Add me to the inside cabin.  Once and only once.  WAAAYTOOO small and dark for me.  We actually like to spend a fair amount of time in our room and there is just NOwhere to sit in an inside.  I will admit though....it's great for sleeping !
I also am not a huge fan of rooms all the way forward or all the way aft as that is a lot of walking for me.

The app calendar is still generally useless.

Unfortunately you have to get Expedia to deal with Royal to do a cancelation.  It should still be covered under CWC on Royal's side but you will have to see what Expedia's cancelation terms are as well.  CWC would mean you would get an FCC for each passenger in their name.
If you are seeking a cash refund I would see if you could cancel because you aren't comfortable with the announced protocols for your sailing.  When they announced the protocols for each ship and sailing month they had stated they would offer full refunds for people who didn't want to comply.  I can no longer find that language on Royal's site, but may still be an option.  Of course Expedia has to communicate with Royal on your behalf because they are the TA.

They recently extended the date for the Cruise with Confidence eligibility from July 31 to August 31. I’m hoping they also extend the end dates as well. I like that they now allow us to combine our FCCs so we can apply more than one of them to a booking. I’m also hoping the Best Price Guarantee is also extended.

Oh....if they ONLY taught social studies anymore.  Not at ANY grade level, unfortunately.

I never book domestic first or biz on US business trips.  The meager benefits you'll get:
- Maybe food served, on 4+ hour flights.
- First boarding group and first off at the end of the flight (less competition for overhead compartments, if you need one).
- Slightly nicer seat.
- Some free booze.
- Free checked bag.
Personal (vacation) trips I'll book biz for long flights.  If you hunt around, you may score a flight that's going to continue on to an international destination (787, etc.) where booking biz will get you something really nice like a lie-flat seat.

I will also never book another full suite on a Vision class ship that is all the way forward.  We spent 2 weeks on Grandeur a few years ago right underneath the WJ. Almost all of the full suites on V Class ships are jammed up from under the jammer.  It was loud at all hours.
We are booked on Vision out of PR in late October but we are in one of the 2 BR GS near the rear elevators.  Hopefully that will be a different experience.

Took a cab, had a great driver that talked to us the whole time about all the things we were driving by and the history. Was like we booked a tour.

The argument mitigating toward CDC regulation of the cruise industry is clearly spelled out in 91 at the Court listener, ORDER resolving 25--Florida's motion for preliminary injunction.
For those of us that have been following the CDC's circus act in the FL District and US Court of Appeals, and are close to this situation, the CDC's justification for the NSO and CSO are laughable. Judge Merryday presiding over the Middle District Court of FL seems to agree with us. His ruling was a blistering rebuke of the CDC's actions involving the cruise industry.......upheld on appeal by the 11th USCOA.  
Still, we have a large group of American citizens that think what the CDC is doing, a reflection of what our government is trending toward if not already there, is fine. That's a disturbing thought. Time to push back, not only regarding the CDC's buffoonery, but also the unrestrained drift of governance in America to an unaccountable executive branch.

We were originally quoted 3-4 months by every company we spoke with, including the one we contracted with. We know a few people in the planning phase with various companies, and they are now quoting 7-12 months. Just like every other type of construction there have been covid delays, labor delays, and part shortages. I'm glad we didn't wait any longer to get started.

There is a real chance that restrictions might be eased by the time our cruise rolls around and if not for everyone then at least for those who are vaccinated..
We are currently 36 days out, no contact from our Genie yet but I suspect we may hear from him or her prob alittle later than usual as everyone waits to see what we can and can't do closer to deoarture.
Glad we have a Genie this time to cater to all the last min changes/bookings..which I'm pretty sure that will be in this current situation 
In other news, I have placed my Royal Upgrade bids..and the temptation is there to revise it everyday..?

Both our AOS sailings in August had the over the water cabana priced at $1899.  ?. When they dropped to $999 after never being below $1699, we jumped on it.  Sharing with friends, and super excited

I can't imagine ever spending that type of money on a beach cabana, even with people going in. Granted I don't actually like beaches so that colors my perspective.

Our over the water cabanas for 10/30 sailing were ridiculously priced at $1699! I laughed and said they would never sell at that price. Just looked:
