  1. Sorry, Jay. I re-read your post and now see that you said it was a stop in CC on Jan 10. Apparently I'm illiterate. Sorry
  2. I went back again and the itin change comes up for Jan 24 but not for Jan 3. So, apparently it's a fairly narrow range of cruise dates that are affected. I couldn't see any difference in the itins either, BTW.
  3. Jay, I don't see a Grandeur cruise on January 10. There are 9 day cruises on the 3rd and the 24th and a 12 day cruise on Jan 12th but that one doesn't mention Coco Cay. I wanted to look b/c I wanted to see what the itin change ribbon looked like.
  4. I see your name has changed. Again. So you are no longer denying that you are a bot ?
  5. Woohooo ! NYE on Quantum. That sounds GREAT !
  6. I am in total agreement with other comments I've read on this subject. I would rather circle around out in the ocean and have a great sea day than pull into Miami for the day. While I completely understand why these changes are occurring (and I won't be surprised to hear of more just like them) I would not want a stop in Miami. I have 2 trips on Anthem B2B that include Coco Cay in Feb. 19 so I won't be surprised if this delay/rescheduling pushes back into those as well. These kinds of inconveniences are bound to happen. I just hope that it is all done when I go BACK to Coco Cay in Feb 2020 on my Star Class cruise. I hope it's all done by then.
  7. This makes sense. We were both OWD certified in Asia.
  8. Is NAUI even still a "thing" ? My ex and I were both OWC through NAUI back in the day. Subsequently, I became AOWD and Rescue diver but those were through PADI. I thought NAUI was long gone.
  9. I'm surprised that there isn't a warning banner indicating that the itin has changed. That's what usually happens when they change an itin. Maybe they haven't had time to put up the banner yet or maybe they're trying to keep this rather unfortunate news on the down-low.
  10. In the recent past, on one of the big ships (most likely on Allure in April) I saw a doorway marked "Teen Spa". I have no idea what was behind it, how big it is inside or what they do there...but I do recall seeing that sign so there is some form of teen spa services at least on SOME of the ships. Sorry I don't know more.
  11. I can vouch for this ! ...and it's not a "Chinese" thing. Asians, in general, do not have the same understanding of "personal space" that we Americans have. Having lived in Asia for a number of years, I can tell you that it's just a cultural thing. Nothing rude or malevolent intended, it's just " a thing" you lean to deal with in Asia. This is 1 reason why I have never been in a huge hurry to do a cruise in the far east. I absolutely LOVE Hong Kong and I would love to cruise out of there but I don't know if I could deal with all of that mania. It's one of the things I LEAST enjoyed about Asia.
  12. With no kid worries, and if all itins are equal, I say go with the longest. I, also, am partial to Grandeur. We were just on her in June/July and will be on her again in October and December...then again in Sept. 2019. I don't see how you can go wrong with a 2 BR suite no matter which one you choose ! Nice options to have
  13. You can order drinks at the restaurant and they will be covered by the package subject to the regular package limits.
  14. Are there children ? What are the ages ?
  15. I am not a pool person but I seem to recall that there are 4 main pools on the pool deck and a large hot tub in the Solarium. I know that the Harmony does not have a pool in the Solarium as it was a point of hot contention when the ship first came out.
  16. We just get sushi, sashimi and nigiri so I don't probably wouldn't have noticed that those weren't on the menu. Sorry
  17. We were just on Grandeur over the 4th of July and the menu at the Izumi on Grandeur is the same as it has always been. I cannot recall whether there is a difference between the Izumi menu on Grandeur and the Izumi menu on the O class ships but I don't really think there is any difference. I could be wrong. I don't pay that close of attention to such things.
  18. Yikes ! Hoping you did not get sick. Nothing worse. Well, yes, there is something worse - being sick and NOT being on a cruise is worse.
  19. White cards indicate that they are Pinnacle Crown & Anchor members. They have special access to such things.
  20. I agree with you that this nonsense with the website has gone on WAAAYTOOO long. I hate that I cannot see the reservation confirmation any longer (although, most of my bookings are with a TA and I could never see them for the TA bookings anyway) and I hate that I can no longer go directly to the AirtoSea site to check international flights. I hate that I cannot get from the logged-in My Cruises to the check-in section (you now must go through Already Booked without being logged in, which is utterly RIDICULOUS). The new website is WAAAY worse than the old one and still contains so many glitches that it is utterly frustrating. This level of inefficiency does not give one a sense of confidence in the company, overall. In this day and age there is just no excuse.
  21. They certainly have liquor vendors in the compound at COZ but I'm doubtful that these would have the best prices. My favorite part of COZ is to go downtown and walk around anyway; my guess is that there are plenty of places to find some good tequila at the city square, downtown. I know that there is a tequila factory somewhere (we keep threatening to do that tour but have not done it yet. Maybe in Sept. when we are on Liberty !). I'll bet it's not hard to find....
