I definitely feel that the service IN Chops is suffering due to The Key embarkation lunch. I have a feeling that is why Oasis has decided to no longer offer lunch on embarkation day, other than in the MDR to the Key people.  Just a hunch.

I have found that the very earliest time slots for MTD have, generally, very few people.  That, combined with the fact that they have just started the service and haven’t had a chance to get “behind” yet is why, when we did MTD, we always went very early. If you’re going to be in a hurry, I recommend going first thing after MTD opens.

Yes, the perks that came with booking a CP room will not follow you to the ocean view booking.

That looks like a pretty good price, actually. The cruise planner price for an 8 day Anthem cruise has been running $229 PP. I managed to snag it for $176 but $179 is probably as low as it’s going to go. They figure Wonderland as an option (I will never go to Wonderland but others will). 
 

Personally, I prefer the SL setup on Oasis and Allure.  They have a bar that allows you to look out over the pool area.  The one on Harmony (and presumably, Symphony....haven’t been on Symphony) is along the wall.  Decor matters -0- to me so I wouldn’t even notice that.  I will take some pix of the SL/CK next week.  I don’t think you would be disappointed 

No, if I’m understanding your question.  Dan often redeems more than one voucher denomination. Example....if he has enough points to redeem $650 worth of onboard credit, he might redeem 1 X 500 and 1X 100 and 2 X 25.  I’m just making up those numbers I cannot recall the true denominations. But my point is that you can use multiple redemptions and denominations to redeem your points.  He does it all the time.

I was able to rebook my South Beach day pass. I saved $22 !  Yippee !

I recommend you call a Royal and have them help you. I definitely would NOT cancel and rebook online as you might lose your reservation completely

Beautiful day on the seas as we sail, leisurely, towards Cozumel.  There are some modest swells but I have yet to feel the ship move even ONCE on this cruise.  One of the smoothest sailings I can remember.  I think we must have a tail wind.

Breakfast was in Chops.  Food was hot and good.  Service was a bit slow but we have nowhere to go today so I didn’t care.  We will be back at Chops for dinner tonite. Planning on doing Izumi for lunch but not sure I will be hungry enough to eat much.  #stuffedatchops

Happy Dan was in one of his special moods this morning.  He had French Toast and got bored waiting for me to finish eating.

Casino update:  I came out + $25 tonite so I was able to repay Lootenant Dayan for his generosity last night.  Now sitting at even Steven after night #2. Winner, winner, chicken dinner !

I have figured out the mystery of using two devices interchangeably.  It seems that logging out (log off.com) is not enough. I must turn off the WiFi on whichever device I do NOT want to use before trying to log on to the second device.  This is a bit of a pain as I choose to take photographs with my iPhone but want to blog with the iPad so I am constantly changing between the devices. But since I broke the code I have had no problems at all and I have not bounced Dan off of his device once since figuring it all out.  I feel so smaaaat.

If he is supplying Pepsi products then he is finding them somewhere other than the Royal supply chain (IOW I think he will have to purchase them himself).  I have never seen any kind of Pepsi product on any Royal Caribbean ship.

You can ask but technically they are not required to provide anything except fountain drinks with the soda or refreshment packages.  Only the DBP permits canned soft drinks.  I have found it fairly easy to get cans but they do not have to provide them unless you have the DBP.

My experience has been that there is usually 1 matinee (usually towards the end of the cruise) for the shows. I would be surprised if that is not the case.

The steak I got tonite at Giovannis was orders of magnitude better than the cold crap I got yesterday at Chops. Everything was better...the food, the service, the ambiance. Everything.  To be completely fair, yesterday’s epic fail at Chops was the embarkation lunch so I will withhold final judgement until tomorrow night when we will go to Chops for dinner. I’m not going to hold my breath though. It will be hard to top that extraordinary steak at Giovannis. 

For those who are counting, this makes 2 filets in 2 days. That’s a lot for me.  I’m not normally a big steak eater. 

Dan has the prawns. Really just shrimp, but prawns sounds fancier. He said his was very good.  
 

Reh-Roh. It’s 7:03 and I don’t see how I can drag my feet long enough to miss the start of the cattle call.  Looks like we’ll be going there before heading to the casino.

They did not make us dig the garlic out of the husks !  Much more elegant than making us dig and launch the cloves across the room.

No cold soup tonite, by God !  It was steamin’.  Dan had some tuna tartare from Chops, I had minestrone and pork belly.  Our main courses should be coming shortly 

Giovannis for dinner. We have a 6:00 reservation and the cattle call-I mean, Top Tier event is at 7:15. Maybe we will make it.  We regularly skip that illustrious event but for reasons unexplained, Dan has requested to go.  I will eat slow.
